ᢉ𐭩 how the joestars would comfort you during a thunderstorm
jonathan
- like a true gentleman, i feel like he'd be the most understanding of your fear, closing the blinds so you wouldn't see any sudden flashes and would probably cover your ears if you really wanted him to
- he would be the type to verbally assure you. "i promise you're safe." "i know it's loud, but it'll pass soon enough."
- he'd also 100% say some cheesy line like "i'll make sure to keep you safe!" and he's totally serious about it. if you laugh at how cliché it sounds, he wouldn't take offence. he'd smile knowing you were a little more at ease.
joseph
- the second joseph finds out you're scared of thunderstorms, he's all up in your face like you're some sort of specimen. "seriously? thunderstorms are what scare you?" "it's only a bit of noise!"
- when he sees you jump after a sudden crash, however, he decides to make himself useful. how? by trying his best to distract you from whatevers going on outside.
- "that's nothing! haven't you heard how i snore?" he'll puff out his chest all dramatically. these types of comments and dumb gestures won't stop until you either laugh or grow so sick of him you push him away. at least you're not jumping anymore, right?
- "fine, fine — i'll be quiet!" joseph huffs, muttering about how he was only trying to help. although tackling you to the ground as soon as he saw a flash of lightning wasn't really the best kind of distraction. "how about i go find something to eat then? all that entertaining has me tired."
- soon enough you're too busy focusing on snacking to be as bothered by what's left of the storm. watching him act a fool for a whole hour was actually somewhat of a distraction for the main storm.
jotaro
- you don't tell him, but he notices it straight away. the way you flinch as soon as you hear that loud roar. "you don't like it?" he murmurs, looking unbothered as usual, but clearly it means something to him if he's asking.
- when a sudden flash of lightning lights up the room and you let out a small sound of fear, he sighs and places his hat over your head, letting it fall down to cover your eyes. "it's not all that close," jotaro mutters, his voice oddly softer like he's trying to comfort you. "you won't be able to see it now so quit jumping. it's annoying."
- even if you do jump, he won't say anything, but he will refuse to leave your side, letting you cling to him as much as you want if it makes you feel better. if you're really nervous he'll even pull you closer himself as a means to make you feel safe.
josuke
- he's honestly a little nervous himself. he really doesn't like the loud noise of the thunder, but you become his priority the second you appear distressed. "you okay? you look...pale."
- josuke makes it his mission to help you calm down, doing anything he can to make sure you're comfy. blankets? draped in them. snacks? stocked up. he'll even throw a movie on until suddenly you're both in this cocoon of blankets and pillows with the only source of light being the tv and the occasional lightning strike filling the room.
- "storms are the worst," he'll murmur, cause he doesn't want you to feel embarrassed about being scared or anything. "but at least they give us an excuse to stay home and do nothing all day, right?"
giorno
- whilst he would not bat an eye at a sudden storm, giorno would notice your anxiousness very quickly. "are you scared of them?" your immediate nod says enough and he'll waste no time in comforting you.
- he strikes me as the type to be silently attentive. he'll bring you a warm cup of tea — probably something like chamomile, if you like it, that he knows will calm you — and will make sure all the blinds are closed to avoid the light form outside scaring you.
- giorno will sit with you, making sure you're feeling a little better. when he notices your anxious fidgeting, though, he'd reach out to the nearest object and turn it into some sort of animal like a bunny or a cat. something cute he knows you'll be comforted by, and distracted with.
- he'd definitely give you some sort of fact about said animal too — anything to take your mind off of everything out there. some of those facts would serve to make you feel a little more at ease too. "puppy's are sensitive to sound, so you're helping him feel better too," he'll mumble to you while scratching the wriggling puppy behind the ear as you hold it.
jolyne
- she's a little surprised at first to see you react so nervously to something like the weather. it's never really been all that scary to her, but if it bothers you she's on it.
- "god, i hate these dumb storms," she'll mutter as she searches for a pair of earbuds, exclaiming cheerfully when she finally digs them out. she'll play something calming, or a shared playlist the two of you have. anything so you won't hear that stupid thunder.
- she's always hated seeing you so distressed, so she'll find other ways to keep you calm too. playing with your hair while talking about whatever comes to mind. grumbling about some idiotic fight she and her dad got into. whatever she can think of until you're finally responding with a steady voice, giving your own output into conversations.
johnny
- i feel like he'd definitely struggle to comfort you at first when he realises you're scared. he's not the most sentimental guy. did you want to be held? did you want him to be quiet? he'd overthink it until a loud clap of thunder sounded outside and you practically jumped onto his lap.
- "never witnessed a storm before?" a stupid attempt at a joke that has you glaring at him. "sorry..." -it's then that you have his full, undivided attention, and he's oddly soothing to be around.
- i feel like he'd be the type to let you stay on his lap while he holds you there, letting you bury your face into his shoulder. if he's being honest, he likes feeling useful to you. knowing that he's helping you in some way.
- "it'll settle down soon," he hums, tracing slow patterns over your back, feeling how tightly you grip his shirt in fear. "then we can go to that theatre you like."
a/n: wrote this as there's a thunderstorm where i am so kinda self indulgent. i'm also extremely tired so sorry if this kinda sucks😭😭
ex boyfriend! jotaro gets worried when you dont show up to school for three days straight.
tuesday
Your alarm sounds at exactly 6:45, like any other school day. except for the fact that you had a killer headache and you couldn’t breathe through your right nostril. fucking hell, of course this happens on the last week of school- literally the most fun time of the year.
and of course it was your stupid physics teacher that infected you with his disease. every time he was sick he refused to have a day off. maybe he liked tormenting students with his illnesses. whatever.
you were in no chance going to school today- the moment you walked out of your room, barely upright, your mother shooed you back into bed, making you a hot tea with a million cloves of garlic and bits of ginger that supposedly should help with the flu. might’ve been more effective yesterday though.
you drifted off to sleep, shivering.
wednesday
it was the second day of being tortured by this flu and you felt even worse— 39° C fever that wouldn’t go down, shortness of breath and you felt like you were going to faint every time you stood up from your bed. you lay in darkness, looking up at your ceiling, small dots floating in your vision as you struggled to keep your eyes open.
you were going to kill that teacher.
you downed two tablets of paracetamol every four hours, and luckily, your headache and fever started to die down. however, you were still incredibly tired. you went to sleep, breath rattling in your chest, reminiscing about the times where your brain wasn’t mush and you could actually breathe. those were the days. *sob*
at 7 pm, your mother woke you up with fresh soup, the hot liquid pleasurably searing the back of your throat as you downed it. the flavours of the carrots, celery, potatoes and chicken tasted like a delicacy together, it was like fireworks compared to the bland taste of air that was all you ingested due to your lack of appetite.
the night was horrendous, constantly waking up at ungodly hours, sweating and shivering. your skin and bed was damp, clothes clinging onto your skin.
the fever dreams were even worse, everything in your dreams was deformed and textured weirdly, feeling almost like a nightmare. when would this torture end
thursday
you woke up that morning at 5 am, your sleep schedule incredibly messed up and your stomach growling. your eyes were actually focused today, so you were able to cook something for yourself.
the oil in the pan sizzled as you cracked three eggs into it and toasted some sourdough bread in the. the bread shot up, slightly burned and steaming. you placed a dollop of butter on each slice, the lump slowly melting onto the toast. sunny side up eggs were the only thing you could be bothered to make at the moment, your stomach getting increasingly angry at the amount of food it was getting and the waiting time.
you dipped the bread crust in the yolk, the golden liquid dripping down the egg white onto the plate. mmmh delicious. you finished everything and washed your plate, placing it carefully on the drying rack.
after your very gourmet meal, you hopped into the shower, the incandescent water running down your body, your tense muscles relaxing and the catarrh dissolving, your ears popping. you got out of the shower, your skin practically steaming and changed into clean pj’s. you changed your bedsheets into cute white ones with hearts and lay on your bed, reading King of Wrath by Ana Huang.
at 9:43 your there was a knock on your door. Your mother was still asleep, considering she stayed up all night making sure you were okay like the saint she is. you set your book down, meandering to the door and looking through the peephole.
what the fuck.
your ex was standing outside. the same ex that you broke up with because you thought he didn’t love you. the same ex that acted like he didn’t care when you broke up. you cautiously open the door. its not every day that a 6’5 stand user of pure muscle pulls up unexpectedly to your house.
“can i help you Jotaro?”
“why the fuck have you not been in school for three days” he responded. well not really responded, he just completely avoided your question and interrogated you instead.
“why does it matter” you fired back, provoked by his rudely inquisitorial tone.
“good grief just answer the fucking question y/n” he sighed out, rubbing a hand over his face
“i just.. had the flu. nothing important” you peered down at his other hand, which was flexing around a small bag with some soups and medicine in it.
“take it” he held out the bag towards you, tipping down his hat and turning slightly away, so the shadow blocked out his face.
“oh uh— thank you jotaro, this is so sweet. i really appreciate it” you glance up at him, trying to make eye contact- which did not work considering it looked like his primary goal was to avoid said eye contact. you huff and look down at the bag, checking what items he had brought you. surprisingly they were all excellent quality, and the soups were all your favourite flavours. “hey thank you so much actually, you didn’t have to do all this—” you look back up and.. hes gone. whatever.
you close your door, and set everything down on the table. was he worried about you? butterflies erupted in your stomach at the thought. the thought that jotaro, who you thought didnt care about you was worried. you smiled to yourself, plopping down onto the chair.
your phone buzzes with a notification.
Jotaro
9:52 am
make sure you get better for tomorrow yeah? its the last day.

Your Stand’s name is Nekhbet, the Egyptian vulture goddess. Your ability allows you to control feathers and speak to birds. A perfect Stand for creating diversions.
You scowl as you watch that bastard Jotaro defeat N’doul. Wasn’t he supposed to be one of Lord Dio’s strongest Stand users? Yet here he is, getting defeated by someone your age. And to think, the others always teased you for being the youngest. You and N’doul were supposed to take on the Crusaders together, but he’d insisted on going in alone so a kid like you won’t get hurt. And now the bastard’s dead.
“Not my problem,” you mutter to yourself. “It’s his fault he died. If we’d fought them together, we would’ve won. Now I have to clean up his mess.” You summon Nekhbet, a humanoid made completely out of dark gray and black feathers. “Let’s deal with Jotaro first.” Nekhbet disperses into their dark feathers, all of them flying straight for the Crusaders.
“Hey, something’s coming this way!” Polnareff shouts, his eyes trained on the cloud of feathers. It’s not like any of their Stands could do anything against your power, though; Avdol poses the only real threat with his Magician’s Red.
“Avdol!” Joseph yells. “Take Kakyoin and run! There should be some Speedwagon employees nearby!” With a nod, Avdol picks up the injured Kakyoin and makes a dash across the desert. Just your luck! They got rid of your biggest obstacle all on their own! What idiots!
The remaining four Crusaders summon their Stands, each getting into a fighting position as they carefully watch Nekhbet.
“Are those . . . feathers?” Polnareff wonders aloud as they draw closer. “Maybe it’s not an enemy Stand . . .”
“Of course it’s an enemy Stand, you idiot!” Joseph exclaims. “When was the last time you’ve seen a cloud of feathers just flying around the desert!?”
Nekbhet finally gets close enough for you to execute your plan. The feathers spread out, surrounding the Crusaders in a whirlwind of grays and blacks that’s impossible to see through. Absolutely perfect for easily luring someone away from a group. Nekhbet surrounds Jotaro, pushing him away from his friends and towards where you lie in wait.
Of course, Dio would never take some random kid in to be one of his servants. On top of being a strong Stand user, you’re also a highly skilled assassin. By the time Jotaro realizes he’s drifted from his friends, he’s already close enough for you to strike. You reach for one of your daggers and leap at him, aiming for his throat.
Something grabs you around the waist before you can get near Jotaro, causing you to drop your dagger in surprise. Two large purple hands are wrapped around you, connected to an even larger purple man. Star Platinum, Jotaro’s Stand. How could he possibly have reacted fast enough to catch you? Maybe it was no fluke that this boy managed to beat N’doul. Which makes it even more stupid that N’doul went in alone!
“Let me go!” you exclaim, thrashing about in his Stand’s grip.
You reach for another dagger, but Jotaro grabs your wrist before you can touch the hilt. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” he says.
“Put me down!” Not only have you been captured so easily, but in such a humiliating way . . . Lord Dio would be disappointed.
But Jotaro completely ignores you. “Hey, Gramps,” he calls. “I caught one of Dio’s minions.”
Joseph, Polnareff, and Iggy rush over to the two of you. “They’re just a teenager,” Joseph points out. “Are you sure they’re working for Dio?”
“Considering they flew at me with a dagger, I’d say I’m pretty sure,” Jotaro says. “Unless someone else is sending assassins after us now, too.”
“Don’t ignore me!” you yell, making the three people turn to look at you.
“Well, kid?” Polnareff asks. “Did Dio send you?”
You just glare at him. As if you’re going to give these guys the satisfaction of answering them.
“Good grief,” Jotaro mutters. Star Platinum suddenly shakes you in his grip.
“H-hey! Stop that, you asshole!” You’re already getting dizzy. How pathetic; you really have failed Lord Dio.
“Then answer our questions.” You swear you see a smirk grace Jotaro’s lips before he pulls his hat down to cover his face.
“F-fine! Stop shaking me! Yes, Lord Dio sent me to kill you!” Thankfully, Star Platinum finally stops.
“Were you with that other guy?” Polnareff asks.
You nod. “Yes. N’doul and I were sent together.”
“You can put them down now,” Joseph says to Jotaro. “I can use Hermit Purple to restrain them.”
Star Platinum cautiously sets you down, and Joseph sends out his Hermit Purple toward your wrists. Like hell you’re letting that happen. Summoning three of Nekhbet’s feathers, you use them to quickly slice Hermit Purple’s vines before they reach you, leaving Joseph with shallow cuts on his arms.
“Hey!” he exclaims.
With Joseph distracted, you make a break for it, barreling past Iggy and Polnareff. That is, until two hands grab you again and drag you back toward the group.
“I think it’s best if Star Platinum holds onto them,” Jotaro says. Joseph and Polnareff nod in agreement.
“Let’s head into Cairo, then,” Joseph says. “Then we can meet back up with Avdol.”
“And what’re you gonna do with me?” you ask, still squirming in Star Platinum’s grip.
“You’re going to tell us everything you know about Dio,” Joseph says. “And you’re going to help us beat the rest of his minions.”
“Like hell I will!” you yell.
“What else are you gonna do?” Jotaro asks. “Do you really think Dio will let a failure like you come crawling back? He’d probably kill you on sight.”
His words sting because you know they’re true. Lord Dio doesn’t tolerate failure. There’s a reason N’doul let himself be killed rather than fight to live and face Lord Dio’s wrath later on. At least the Crusaders could keep you safe. Fine. If they’re going to use you, it’s only fair that you get to use them. You’ll die at Dio’s hand no matter which side you choose. If the Crusaders lose to him, then Dio will just kill you all. But if they somehow win, and if you convince them to trust you, then they might let you go free. Then that will be your plan: gain the Crusaders’ trust so they’ll let you go if they beat Dio.
“Fine,” you begrudgingly mutter. “I’ll help you all. But I won’t be happy about it.”
* * *
After meeting back up with Avdol, Polnareff disappearing for a bit, and Jotaro acting suspicious in the car but then coming back just fine, the seven of you manage to find a hotel to stay in. The Crusaders plan to question you tomorrow, and decide that you’ll have to stay in Jotaro’s room, since he’s your age and Star Platinum can restrain you.
But, of course, it can’t be that simple.
“Do you expect me to sleep on the floor or something?” you ask, gesturing to the single bed in the middle of your hotel room.
“Where else should scum that follows Dio sleep?” he retorts.
“I could kill you in your sleep, y’know,” you say. You don’t really know what the point of the threat is; they’d already beaten you, and there was no reason for you to run away.
“I’d like to see you try,” he mutters as he climbs into bed. You admit, it’s bold of him to leave you completely unrestrained. He must have plenty of faith in your desire to not be killed by Lord Dio. Though he isn’t really your Lord Dio anymore, is he? Especially if you’re going to be actively working against him.
With a stubborn huff, you sit down on the floor. Honestly, what kind of hotel room doesn’t even have a couch? Jotaro spares you a glance, but doesn’t say a word as you lay down on the cold floor. No way in hell are you sharing a bed with him.
But the floor is cold and hard and uncomfortable. No! You can’t give in that easily. You may have lost your loyalty to Dio and a bit of your dignity, but you still have the rest! You refuse to give it up just because-
“Good grief,” you hear Jotaro mutter before strong hands pick you up and set you on the bed. Curse Star Platinum. Jotaro’s back is to you, but you swear his ears are tinted pink. And does he never take his hat off? Not even to sleep? Is it merged with his head or something? “Just sleep,” he huffs. “And stop being annoying about it.”
“Fine,” you angrily whisper, turning your back to him as well. You want to stubbornly stay awake a bit longer, but the softness of the mattress and the warmth of Jotaro at your back quickly lull you into a deep sleep.
* * *
The next morning, the Crusaders interrogate you, asking you to tell them everything you know about Dio. But it’s not much. You don’t even know the Stands of the users they have yet to face, you have no knowledge of Dio’s further plans, and absolutely zero clue where his manor is. All you know is one thing: the rest of the Stand users standing between the Crusaders and victory are formidable opponents.
They look skeptical at your lack of knowledge, but Joseph eventually sighs. “Alright,” he says. “We’re going to go search for the manor. And you’re going to stay put in your room.”
“What?!” you exclaim. “Why?!”
“Because we can’t trust you to not sneak off and tell Dio of our movements,” Avdol explains. “And on top of that, you could prove to be a trump card against Dio. None of his other Stand users have seen you with us, so it’s important to keep your cooperation a secret. And don’t even think of trying to escape; we’ll know.”
The threat is empty and you know it. If you want to run off while they’re gone, they’d have no way of stopping you. But they also know that you have zero clue where Dio’s holed up, meaning you can’t go and tell him what they’re doing. It’s not like they’ve told you much of their plan, anyway. You doubt they even have one. They’re testing you, trying to gauge if you’re truly willing to help them defeat Dio. If you run away to freedom now, they’ll forget about you and move on with their lives. But if you don’t, they’ll have an extra Stand user to aid them.
Oh, what the hell? Might as well have a little bit of fun before you run off to your new life far away from other Stand users. “Fine,” you mutter. “I’ll stay put.”
And you do. You take a nap for a bit, begrudgingly on the side of the bed Jotaro had slept last night, your face buried in his pillow. So he smells nice; no big deal. After you wake up, you send out some of your feathers to spy on the Crusaders. It doesn’t look like they’re going to run into any trouble today. After rummaging around the hotel room for a bit, you find a notepad and pen. So, of course, you decide to draw. Since Nekhbet is made entirely of feathers, they can take any form you want them to, making them the perfect reference to draw.
The Crusaders come back later that night, shockingly having brought you back two slices of pizza to eat. You were going to order room service and put it on Joseph’s card, but the pizza was a nice surprise. As you eat and listen to them talk, you learn that they weren’t able to find out anything new regarding Dio or his minions.
As the sun sets and night falls, you and Jotaro are left alone in the room once more. You flop onto the bed, pulling the covers over yourself.
“Move over,” Jotaro grunts, already using Star Platinum to nudge you to your side of the bed. You huff in annoyance as the Stand moves you, but don’t resist. He lays down next to you, your backs to each other once again.
After what felt like days of agonizing silence, you finally decide to ask him what you’ve been wondering. “Why’re you fighting so hard to stop Dio, anyway?” you whisper.
He’s quiet for a long time, to the point that you think he’s either blatantly ignoring you or already asleep. You turn around to check, only to find that he’s already facing you. His hat is off for once, revealing the dark curls of his hair. “Dio’s awakening caused my mother to manifest a Stand,” he finally says, his voice just as quiet as yours was. “She doesn’t have the affinity for it that Gramps and I do. She’ll die soon if we don’t defeat Dio.”
You frown, the information hitting you shockingly hard. You hadn’t even considered that Jotaro could be risking everything for a family member. He doesn’t seem like the type. After another long pause, he asks, “How did you end up working for Dio?”
You debate whether or not to answer him, but considering he shared with you, the least you can do is share with him. “My parents died when I was little,” you say. “I had to resort to stealing to survive. But I was good at sneaking around, especially because of my Stand. Eventually, people started hiring me to get information on their enemies. Then to dispose of them. And that’s when Dio found me. He promised that if I helped him, he’d make a world where I didn’t have to kill to survive. It sounded too enticing to refuse.”
His face is expressionless as you finish, but it feels like his eyes are staring into your soul. “We can make that world for you, too,” he murmurs, so quietly you aren’t sure if you heard him right. “When we beat Dio, you won’t have to kill to survive anymore. I’m sure Gramps or Avdol would be willing to help you find a place and a job . . . or something.” Seemingly realizing what he’d said, he quickly turns away from you, his ears burning red.
You smile to yourself, finding his embarrassment oddly satisfying, and even a bit . . . cute. “Night, Jotaro.”
“Night,” he huffs.
* * *
Three days later, the Crusaders are still not even close to finding Dio’s manor. They’d defeated more of his Stand users, though none of them could even be interrogated. Jotaro has barely spoken to you since that night, and whenever you try to talk to him at night, he pretends to be asleep.
They finally let you walk around with them one day, trying to gather any information you can. That day, the six of you run into D’arby the Elder. You’ve never gambled before, and after watching Polnareff and Joseph get their souls stolen, you’re not sure you ever want to gamble again.
“Avdol, (Y/N), do you trust me?” Jotaro asks soon after taking Joseph’s spot across from D’arby.
“Of course I do, Jotaro,” Avdol immediately replies.Jotaro’s gaze moves to you. You haven’t known the Crusaders for very long, but from what you’ve gleaned, they also haven’t known each other for very long, either. But they didn’t kill you, and they seem to want your help defeating Dio, so . . . “Yeah,” you respond, “I think I do.”
Jotaro flashes you a quick smile before pulling his hat down to cover his face. “I’m wagering Avdol and (Y/N)’s souls as well,” he says.
* * *
“What the hell is wrong with you!?” you exclaim as the five of you leave D’arby’s stunned form behind. “What if he’d realized you were bluffing?!”
“Then we all would’ve become his chips,” Jotaro responds, as composed as ever. “And it’d be your fault, too. You’re the one who said you trusted me.”
“I didn’t know you were about to go and risk my soul! We should’ve just taken him out the normal way.”
“Violence doesn’t work on every opponent,” Joseph cuts in. “What Jotaro did was smart.”
“I wasn’t aware that putting all of our lives at stake for a bluff was smart!” you shout.
“Just get over it,” Jotaro mutters, speeding up to walk ahead of the group. “We’re all fine.”
* * *
That night, you feel Jotaro shift at your back. “Hey,” he whispers. You don’t respond, still a bit mad at him for the events of the day. “Hey,” he says again, firmer this time. “I know you’re awake.” When you still don’t answer him, you feel Star Platinum turn you over, your eyes meeting Jotaro’s.
“What?” you mutter.
“I . . . I’m sorry for today. I get that you don’t really have a stake in this, and you’re only with us because we forced you to be here, so I guess what I’m saying is . . . I didn’t need to bet your soul, too. The others’ were enough. You don’t want any part of this, so . . . it wasn’t fair to you.” He finally stops, his head angled down but no hat to cover his face, making his blush perfectly visible, even this late at night.
“It’s fine,” you reply. “I overreacted.”
Silence stretches between you, until Jotaro speaks again. “When all this is done . . . if we both survive . . . fuck, nevermind.” The blush dusting his cheeks deepens as he averts his gaze.
“No no, finish that sentence,” you say, unable to keep the teasing lilt from your voice.
He’s quiet for a long moment until: “Would you like to come back to Japan with me and meet my mom?”
The question stuns you. You know how much Jotaro cares for his mother; after all, she’s his whole reason for embarking on this journey. Him wanting you to meet her feels . . . special. Significant. And you’d have nowhere else to go, if you live through a fight with Dio. Why not see how long he and his mom could tolerate your presence? “Sure,” you say.
His shoulders sag in relief at your response, and he promptly turns away from you. “Now get some sleep,” he grumbles.
* * *
When Jotaro wakes you up the next morning, his expression is as serious as ever. “We know where his manor is,” he says.
You immediately sit up. “So we’re going today, right?” you ask.
He just shakes his head. “You aren’t coming with us.”
“What? Why not?”
He turns away from you. “Your Stand can help out long-range, but you’re not going anywhere near Dio. There’s no point in you needlessly getting hurt.”
“Are you . . . worried about me?”
You see his ears turn pink at that. “Of course not,” he grunts. “Avdol’s the one who suggested it. I just think he has a point.”
“Right,” you say. “I guess I can do that.”
“Good,” he mutters. “Now let’s go.”
* * *
“Jotaro!” you shout as you run through the streets of Cairo. Dio had found Nekhbet instantly during the fight, but the bastard hadn’t even bothered to take you out. The worst of your injuries were cuts on your arms from where he’d sliced up Nekhbet’s feathers. You wish you could say the same for the Crusaders. Avdol and Iggy hadn’t come back from the manor, Polnareff and Joseph are badly injured, and Kakyoin . . .
"Jotaro!” you scream again. You’d sent your feathers out, but they hadn’t been able to find him.
“Mx.!” someone suddenly calls out. Turning around, you see a man in pilot gear. “Do you happen to know a boy named Kujo Jotaro?” When you nod, the man extends his hand. “We can treat your injuries for you. Come on.” He leads you to a helicopter where, much to your relief, Jotaro and Joseph are both very much alive.
“Good grief,” Jotaro huffs. “Took you long enough.” With a nod to the pilot, the helicopter takes off.
“Polnareff is recovering in another copter,” Joseph explains. “I heard you’re coming back to Japan with us. Y’know, Jotaro here refused to take off until we found you.” He nudges Jotaro teasingly, who elbows him back.
“Shut up, old man,” he mutters. You can’t help but laugh at their interaction, making a faint pink dust Jotaro’s cheeks at the sound.
* * *
“You must be Jotaro’s friend!” Kujo Holy exclaims. You, Jotaro, and Joseph stand at the entrance to her house, your heart beating way faster than usual. What if you mess up? After all, you did used to work for the guy who nearly killed her-
A firm hand on your shoulder calms your racing thoughts. Sparing a quick glance, you see Star Platinum behind you, reassuringly holding your shoulder while Jotaro pointedly averts his dull green eyes.
“Y-yes, I am,” you say with a respectful bow to Holy. “It’s nice to meet you, Mrs. Kujo.”
“Please just call me Holy, dear,” she says. “Now come in, come in.” She ushers the three of you inside. The house is cozy, and you can instantly understand why Jotaro fought so hard to protect his mother. “I have a room prepared for you, too,” Holy continues. “Now let’s eat, and you can tell me all about yourself.”
Before arriving, Jotaro had made sure you knew what was appropriate to tell his mom and what wasn’t. You’re a Stand user who met up with them in Egypt and helped defeat Dio, and you lost your parents at a young age. Make absolutely no mention of working for Dio or killing people. “We’re not lying to her,” he’d said. “Just omitting the truth. I don’t need her to be any more worried than I know she already is.”
And you follow Jotaro’s instructions, telling Holy only what the two of you had agreed upon. “That’s terrible!” she says after you’ve finished. “You can stay here as long as you need, if you’d like.”
“Really?” you ask. Sure, it’d been your plan from the start, but you’re still utterly stunned by how perfectly everything had worked out for you.
“Of course!” she replies. “But you don’t have to decide now. Think on it for a bit, then I’ll help with whatever you choose.”
“Thank you, Holy.”
* * *
You can’t sleep that night. Nightmares of Dio, of Kakyoin, of Avdol and Iggy, keep flashing behind your eyes whenever you close them. And . . . well, a small part of you had gotten used to having Jotaro’s warmth beside you while you slept. Quietly, so as not to disturb the sleeping family, you step onto the back porch and sit down.
Not even five minutes later, Jotaro sits down next to you. “Can’t sleep?” he asks, his voice low.
You shake your head. “Nightmares,” you respond. He just nods.
After a long pause, he speaks again. “I’m glad you’re here.”
“Me too,” you say.
Slowly, carefully, you lean against him, testing the waters. He tenses for a moment, then wraps an arm around your shoulders, pulling you closer to his side. Risking a peek at his face, you see that his cheeks are beet-red, the reddest you’ve ever seen them.
“Stop staring at me,” he mutters. “Just sleep.”
You lean up and press a quick kiss to his cheek. “Night, Jotaro,” you say, already drifting off.
“Good grief.” With the press of his lips against the top of your head, he whispers, “Night, idiot.”
a/n: baby's longest fanfic. should I do a part two where they actually get together? they were gonna in this part but I decided it was already long enough
older jotaro with his assistant. gender neutral terms , age gap but not by much , fluff
masterlist — more jjba — req rules
“Mr Jotaro!!” You knocked on the door leading into his office. After not receiving an answer, not even a noncommittal grunt like you were used to, you pushed it open. Expecting sideway glares and annoyed grunts, you squeeze your eyes shut and prepare to release an onslaught of apologies.
Nothing. You peek an eye open. Not even a breath out of place.
All of his papers were stacked into one neat pile.
In perfect order—unlike your smaller cubical.
Photos on the wall, your grocery list from a month ago somewhere in the clutter of pens, papers, and a day old musli bar you forgot to take home.
You frowned. Huh.
Where would Dr Kujo be if not in his office? You checked the maintenance room—nothing. Roamed around the centre asking passerby employees. Shrugs and mumbled guesses where all you got.
And so you went out to the Oceanside. Where sand bleeds into waves. The coast was warm this evening. You peeled off your shoes, seeing a white jacket in the distance.
A seagull flew overhead.
The sand was warm and squishy between your toes.
“Mr Jotaro?” You walk down the beach. By the incline of his head, you know he heard you. “You have a report due by 9pm.”
He grunted and stuffed his hands into his pockets.
Reports and deadlines weren’t what he wanted to hear about in the afternoons where quiet beaches were the only place he could properly think.
So you stand a foot away from him in silence, gazing at the ripples in the ocean. A seagull dives down into the water, splashing up water as it went.
“That’s why you came down here?” He queried tonelessly.
“You lose track of time these days.”
He huffed something dangerously close to a laugh.
Because of course you would say that.
Jotaro wasn’t keen on taking an assistant from the very beginning. He never wanted to take on as many employees as he did. But there was you, who was eager to learn and this impressive degree backing you up as if it would be the big stamp of approval.
He had refused at first—there was no need. Everything was organised, everything flowed smoothly. Why would he hire an assistant if he could take care of everything by himself?
You requested—demanded, a trial run.
Thinking he could rid of you after the few hours you would be there to showcase your skills and capabilities, he accepted.
Believing you would disappear after that was a hopeless dream. Working at the centre had solidified your determination and you doubled your efforts to become his assistant. You had the skills to work with people, ran an office job once before so you knew how to send emails and file things away, had experience upon experience. He still didn’t want it.
That wasn’t to say you were shit at your job either, you were great actually. Quick on your feet, knowledgeable, not shy from doing the dirty work. When things needed to be done you were there to do them.
A part of him protested, the other mulled on the fact that the work load would be lighter. He wouldn’t be as stressed and working into the late hours of the night trying to tie everything off. There would be more time to focus on the important tasks of the day.
So he said yes. You grinned in victory.
From that day on his mornings consisted on hot mugs of coffee brewed skilfully by your own hands, daily reports, notes of concerns, and smooth sailing. Somehow you had wiggled into his head and suggested more hands on deck—he said no, you smiled, and then somewhere down the track more hands on deck started to appear.
You filed his papers when he got sluggish, sprayed his office with something fresh and natural so it was more comfortable to work in, left notes for him so he could remember the important details of the day.
Everything ran a bit smoother with you around.
“You should head back.” He said, a note too soft for his liking.
And for some reason..
“Why?” You turn your head away from the setting sun.
..for some really odd reason..
He gave you a flat stare. “It’s nearing the end of autumn woman. You’ll freeze.”
..he started to care.
It came in slow, restless waves.
You rolled your eyes and smiled. “Stoic Dr Kujo showing an ounce of care? The ocean floor is shaking at the revelation.”
It first showed itself when you had cut yourself on a fishing hook that had gotten caught in the mouth of a turtle. You had been doing a conservation project with him out on the waters, removing rubbish and such when you had swum upon a turtle with a nasty fishing hook stuck in the side of its mouth.
Wiggled around so much that when you finally pulled it out, you nicked yourself.
As soon as you were back on the boat he grabbed your hand and dabbed away the beading blood.
“Don’t be careless next time.”
It was the closest thing to be careful that you would ever get.
Then he started to make sure you were eating and hydrating properly after you nearly fainted on the docks. Too much sun, too little care.
He carried an extra water bottle with him from then point on.
You were as much trouble as you were helpful.
Sighing, Jotaro shook his head.
One minute you were smiling at the horizon, the next something soft and warm draped over your shoulders. The white fabric of his jacket slid comfortably over you, way too big, drowned you in woven cotton and intention.
Your neck warmed before you could stop it.
The salty smell of him enveloped you. Every breath sucked him deeper in.
“won’t you be cold?”
His black shirt clung to his shoulders.
How distracting. How absolutely inappropriate.
“I’m more accustomed to this weather than you are.”
That was true.
You slid your arms through the sleeves and hugged it closer. “Thank you.”
“Don’t be so careless next time.”
Your grin sharpened. “You still have that report to do, doctor.”
“Good grief.” He muttered under his breath.
A/n : Something rough and short but I was craving Jotaro so here we are
- he seemed super intimidating at first, you and your group of friends were super scared of him
- you’ve seen him fight basically every guy he’s came into contact with at school, so there was absolutely no way you’d ever attempt contacting him (😜)
- to everyone’s surprise, he started talking to you ! it went from asking for a pen to him asking how your classes and day were going (how sweet 😝)
- you guys got super close all of a sudden, out of everyone at school, he managed to become closest of all to you
- he was a brick wall to everyone else, but somehow you were his exception ,, <3
- you’d been talking for months at this point, even toward the point he invited you to outings (which he normally never does) so of course you agreed ,
- he subtly learned all of your interests and likes , one day taking you out for lunch and your favorite cafe , much to your surprise
- he asked you out ! he even gave you his mothers jewelry, as a gift of how special you were to him.
- he was surprised you gave him a chance in the first place, never leaving his side like everyone manages to, and he knew you were the one .
- once you guys started going steady, he made SURE to have his eyes on you at all times
- he constantly keeps you in arms reach, always having a hand or finger on you no matter where you are .
- if someone even thinks about going up to talk to you, he’s brooding behind you, watching them like a hawk ( 🙈)
- he loves surprising you with gifts , he’s defo a gift giver and quality time lover 🦄
- he’ll cordially meet your parents and get to meet old man joeseph and holly !!
- once he becomes friends with kakyoin, kakyoin will LOVE to make fun of how you and his mom are his only soft spots.
- holly can see how much jotaro cares for you, plus she loves you as well , <3
jotaro would hate to have you in danger, so he makes you stay while he’s adventuring, but as soon as he comes back , he makes it so you have an entire week , just the two of you together doing your favorite things as him apologizing for being gone so long , 😛
ahhh thank you so much, that means a lot!! could i perhaps request some stardust crusaders comfort for loss/grief? platonic would be preferred, hugs/cuddles are fine and maaaybe like forehead kisses but nothing further. thank you so much it means a lot and i love your writing!!! :DDD sorry if thats a lot to ask too LOL
⋆.˚♡⸝⸝ how they comfort you when grieving
─── joseph j. + jotaro k. + noriyaki k. + jean p.
c.w. mentions of death, gender neutral reader, fluffy stuff, both young and old joseph
note. this’ll be my last jjba request and post for a while cause i’m not as passionate abt it as i was a few years ago. i’m not sure when i’ll get this out but i hope you enjoy and sorry for the bad news 😞 but i really hope you enjoy and sorry for taking so long.
jotaro is usually a lot nicer to you than he is with others but not to the point where it seems like you’re getting special treatment or that he’s grown fond of you, but rather as a fellow companion if that makes sense. though when he catches wind of your recent loss of a loved one, his actions while subtle go a long way.
he’s not one for physical affection so a hug or anything more would mostly not happen, but he shows his care in the form of acts of service. helping you when ever he can in any given situation—a fight, food, silently offering to take over for you in whatever you’d been doing. small things—things that most of the team wouldn’t pick up on unless they watched his every move.
and he never babies you, not his style. especially when he views you as more than capable. he’d see babying you as a form of belittlement.
joseph is a bit more hands on than jotaro and tends to be a bit more teasing than the others but that doesn’t mean he can’t be serious when the situation calls for it. his usual teasing nature is out on the back burner when he hears of the news or sees the noticeable shift in you demeanor and body language. gently he offers a shoulder for you to lay on if ever you needed it.
not trying to overstep especially at such a time. he’d also spoil you some—a lot more noticeable to the others than with the former. making sure you’re well fed, you don’t have too much on your shoulders, and he refuses to let you fight claiming you’ve got a lot on your mind so let him handle it. you also don’t really have a choice even if you insist.
if you with old joseph, he treats you more like a daughter to him. but if you’re with young joseph—i mean you’d be treated as a friend regardless but it’s more prominent here due to the two of you most likely being around the same age. either way he’s still understanding especially having dealt with loss himself.
kakyoin feels more a bit more timid in his approach to comfort, but not too much. of course he’s not going to smother you with affections but he’s also not going to leave you feeling cold and alone. he’ll hug you when he feels the situation calls for it but most times he’ll just stay by your side in hopes that his presence comforts you in someway. and if he notices it does even just a bit, he’s more than happy.
he might also do tasks for you if he feels you need rest or a break of some kind but not to an excessive amount. he focuses a lot more on being there for you because he feels like that’s what you need most in this situation. never straying too far or always making sure you’re within at most a foot of a distance from him.
polnareff is a nice balance. yes, while sometimes i think he can be overbearing he means well. making sure you’re never left to your lonesome but giving you privacy when the moment calls for it. while also hugging you when he feels you need it most and maybe even occasionally giving you a quick forehead kiss.
he tries to take your mind off it in order to cheer you up and make you feel a bit better, but never to the point where you’d forget. and due to his perceptive nature he knows when too much is literally too much and lessens his actions for your comfort.
ft. kujo jotaro x gn!reader (headcanons + scenario)
content warnings: 4taro, fluff, jotaro being a cute pookie, suggestive (? but just to be sure), reader has boobs, just some corny shit i decided to write, not beta read
wc: 1127
while i definitely agree that he's a thigh man, he appreciates boobies too!
any size, any kind, his hands WILL fit
sometimes or most of the time it's not even sexual, he just likes to touch them because he likes the feel of them
a free stress ball for him if you will
at this point your bras are useless, what's the point of having them when his hands are RIGHT THERE
would be willing to be your bra if he could tbh
he's kinda obsessed with them and would be glad if you're down to prance around your shared apartment with no top on
on a particularly really stressful day, he just wants to lay his hands on your boobies and call it a day
maybe squish them but not too much
would probably fall asleep while he holds them
the hold he has on them is really comfortable, this man's hands are the perfect cups (hah, see what i did there, ok bye)
jotaro came home later than usual due to some deadlines that he had to catch from office. while this is not unusual, today is particularly draining for him since his research partner decided to be more difficult than they were before.
"you're still awake," was the first thing he said the moment he entered the door. the sight before him is welcoming and cozy. with you sitting comfortably on the couch with your pajamas and socks and the comforter hanging around really made you look inviting. immediately, he somehow felt his shoulders lighten up a bit.
his voice made you look in his direction and he could clearly see how happy you were to finally see him home, safe and sound. these are the mundane things he looks forward to every day. the domesticity makes his heart full and happy, and while he'd be damned to admit it out loud, it's something that he wouldn't trade for the world.
you stood up and walked up to him to greet him with a chaste kiss on the lips, "welcome home, darling, food's waiting for you in the dining table, come?" jotaro nods to your invitation. you held his hands as you gently guide jotaro towards the dining room. the patter of your sock-clad feet as you walk sounds relaxing, he thinks.
"the food is a little cold but we can heat it up," you said as you sat, "this is fine, i'm starving," you knew what he said is extremely true since you noticed that he immediately inhaled the food served in front of him.
jotaro must have noticed that despite being seated with him, you were not eating, "why aren't you eating?" he asked out of concern.
"i already ate a while ago, i just want to make sure you'll have a hearty dinner since you seem tired when you came in," your answer made pause as he chewed his food.
he cannot believe how lucky he got. if he told his teenage self that he would find love that will wait for him until the sun sets and prepare him a meal ready to eat when he comes home, dote on him on the regular and makes him feel special, he would've been beaten up.
"something wrong, dear?"
your voice seems to snap jotaro out of his thoughts. he shakes his head and continues on with his dinner.
by bedtime, jotaro settles himself in bed while trying to read a book. while the dinner and shower he had earlier somehow let some tension out, he cannot help but feel like it's not enough. something is still weighing his heart down and he couldn't shake it away even if he tries.
the comfortable silence in your bedroom is suddenly interrupted by your phone.
"what's that?"
"oh, i'm just watching a drama that i started yesterday,"
jotaro hummed as acknowledgment. while he would like to stay up with you and keep up with your interests, the yawn he let out thinks otherwise.
"you should sleep now sweetheart, you're pretty tired today, i'll wear my earphones so you won't get bothered," you didn't hear an answer from him, instead, you felt him shift on the bed and put his arms around your waist. a smile was brought up on your face. such a simple gesture yet you know it's jotaro's way of saying that he appreciates you even in his worst days.
a few minutes passed, the silent whirl of your air conditioner enveloped your room. while all is well and cozy, jotaro still couldn't help but feel like something is missing. exhaustion from his body telling him to sleep, the warmth of your body beside his, the early call time that he has to meet tomorrow, yet none of those things were enough to make him fall asleep.
until jotaro had an idea.
he initially thinks it's stupid but it's worth a try.
while you were focused on the show that you were watching, you felt jotaro poking your shoulders.
"what's wrong, why aren't you asleep yet?" you asked jotaro while you take your earphones off.
there was a slight pause in the air and you swear you feel the hesitation but opt to let him speak once he's ready.
"can i– can i touch your breast?" jotaro feels his cheeks heat up in embarrassment. he feels like a stupid teenager for asking such a ridiculous request.
while you were shocked to say the least, entertaining a simple request from your beloved shouldn't be a problem
"okay," jotaro could practically hear the amusement on your voice but he couldn't care less. once the green light is given to him, you can feel his calloused yet gentle hands go under your shirt and towards your boobs.
you feel him cup you breast gently, "is this fine?" you gave him a subtle nod. it's actually quite comfortable, you thought. his hands provided warmth and his hold is gentle enough not to hurt you, like his hand is a mold of your bosom.
you can hear jotaro release a sigh of relief in your ear and felt him cuddle closer towards you.
the two of you stayed that way while you continuously watch your show until some time, you felt his hold from your chest loosen, indicating that he finally fell asleep.
you smile at the thought and decided to close your phone and shut your eyes, ready to meet jotaro in your dreams.
ever since that faithful night, jotaro always asks if he could touch your breasts from time to time while you cuddle or take a nap if his day gets too overwhelming for him.
and you couldn't be any happier to oblige to his request.
