”I’m tired.” You shrug him off.
His hand paused by your thigh, confused as to why you’re acting so cold to him when you were fine an hour ago. To add to his slowly spreading wound, you curled your legs closer to your body and continued to read in silence.
Not one glance his way, no joking smiles that defused the tension—you were frowning, a crease forming between your brows, the same one that told him you were annoyed. But at what?
He doesn’t remember eating your left overs, he knew better than to mess with your food by now. Did he leave his socks on the floor again?
Surely not. He looked around the living room, the kitchen, then down the hallway. Everything seemed to be normal.
Atsumu’s hand slowly retreated back to his side. For the moment he just watched as you read the new book he bought you yesterday. He noticed how your body was angled away from him, like the thought of being so close to your husband, the love of your life, repulsed you.
He pouted.
“What’s all that for?” He tried to put his hand on your leg, you shifted away. Now he was concerned. “Babe?”
Your sigh carried the weight of frustration and barely restrained annoyance. “Just stop it, would you atsumu? I’m trying to read.”
He narrowed his eyes at you and his pout only intensified. How rude. “Ya, the book I bought you.” Respecting your aversion to his touch, he kept his hands away. But that didn’t mean he couldn’t let lean his face so annoyingly close until you gave him answers. “Which means you should be paying attention to me.”
You paused in your reading, genuinely caught off guard for the moment. “In what world does that make sense?”
“My world.” He straightened, rolling his eyes all dramatic. “And I’m the most handsome love of yer life, therefore I’m yer world, henceforth this is common logic.”
A beat of silence goes by.
You, staring incredulously at the wall, trying hard not to laugh in disbelief. First of all, when did he expand his vocabulary? Two, that’s the most stupidest string of thoughts you’ve ever listened to. That’s saying a lot considering you’re married to him.
Atsumu stared at you with such agonising pride you don’t think you’d be able to hold character if you looked at him.
“you,” a soft breath left you. “Are so incredibly stupid.”
His grin split across his face. Wide and screaming ‘I’m so winning this argument’.“I’m yer stupid, though.”
You gave him a look, one mother’s did to their misbehaving children. “Shut up.”
He cocked his head to the side and his grin settled into something softer, teasing. Leaning in now, knowing damn well he’s not in the red zone anymore, he planted a fat kiss on your cheek.
“still mad?”
“I wasn’t mad.”
he stared at you.
You’re the one grinning now.
“It was a joke.”
Atsumu huffed loudly. Plucking the book from your hands, he chucked it across the room.
You inhale sharply, panicked. “Atsumu NO!”
Scrambling from the couch, you don’t very get far. Atsumu had already reached for you and wrapped his arms around your waist. He pulled you back down onto the couch. You writhe, pushing at his face. He grunted.
“Off, you dog!”
“It’s not that important!”
An offended gasp. “yes, it is!”
“baaaaaaaabe.” He whines, holding you tighter. Despite knowing you wouldn’t be moving an inch, you continued to try. Atsumu lays his whole body against you, pinning you down to the soft cushions with his weight. “Don’t be like that!”
“You threw my book.” Your seething glare makes him smile innocently. Because yes, now you were actually annoyed.
Atsumu leant on his elbows, hair falling messy over his forehead from the struggle. He looked down at you with an intensity that made you swallow thickly.
The treachery is momentarily forgotten as he leaned in, noses brushing against each other as he pressed a soft, featherlight kiss against the corner of your parted mouth,
“‘Tsumu..”
“Theeere it is.” He kisses along your cheek, against your neck. “Hate when you call me my full name.” He paused against the fluttering pulse on your neck.
Your hips shift and he can’t help but smile against your neck.
Just as he felt your back arch into him, your hands pressed against his shoulders like you didn’t know whether or not you wanted to pull him closer or keep him away, you shove him off the couch.
“ACK!”
Your husband laid in a heap of dramatically splayed limbs and muscle. Sitting up, you dust off your hands and huff. There was a warmth to your cheeks that you didn’t want to acknowledge even as you glared down at him.
“Don’t ever throw my book again, do you hear me?”
“Y-yes wife..” he groaned, rolling over and curling into a fetus position. He sniffled, betrayed.
You shake your head in resignation and pick your book back up from the floor, dusting off the cover and walking back to sit down on the couch to continue reading from where you left off. “If there’s so much as a crease in these pages atsumu, you’re sleeping outside.”

“You’re so annoying, Caleb!” You shoved his shoulder as you both walked down the street after school. He pretended to stumble, clutched his arm like he was fatally wounded, which made your annoyance spike. Just for the sake of it, you hit him again. And again.
“Ow! Ow! Okay!!” He laughed and caught your wrist. “Chill out. My arm can only take so much abuse.”
You grumbled something under your breath and pulled your hand free. But as much as he irritated you and got on your last burning nerve, it never lasted long. Caleb always managed to squeeze his way into your good books again.
Every afternoon, after your last class had rung out and everyone had scattered into the hallway, he would take your pack from the hook and throw it over his shoulder. You protested every time, because you could carry it yourself. It wasn’t like it was that heavy, anyway.
He would grab the strap anyway, give you a look until you relented, and grinned triumphantly when you did.
Caleb had always just been Caleb. He was loud and boyish and impossibly hard to ignore. Every room he entered centred around his energy. Everybody watched as he walked, as he made these exaggerated motions with his hands that nearly knocked people sideways.
Nobody could hate him, nobody. He was just that guy who laughed loud and made jokes that everyone could relate to. He was funny, handsome, and unapologetically himself. That’s what drew people in.
It’s what you loved about him.
He was the same boy who played in the mud with you after it rained, who took the blame when grandma got cranky due to all the mess, and he nursed you when you got sick because of it.
You took baths together, splashed away in the water when the world hadn’t really sunken its claws into you just yet.
Then you grew up, grew closer, shared the same classes and the same friend group and that was that.
Everything was so easy. It was comfortable.
You shared the same home, got angry at each other, made up the next hour. Sometimes his music would be too loud, or you were talking too loud to your friend during the night.
Then you would play Mario Kart in the living room, hashing out all your annoyances into a competition that could lead to something. When you won, you grinned at him triumphantly. Caleb would sigh and sling an arm over your shoulder, pulling you close as he mumbled an apology.
So then why, why was this happening?
Smoke curled thickly around the room. Plumes of it, black and inky, blossomed against the ceiling. Something hot pressed against the edges of the room as you stumbled out into the hallway.
Confusion hit first, then the destabilising fear.
“Caleb? Grandma?!” Your door slammed shut behind you.
Waves of acrid, rotten fumes hit you hard. It invaded your airways and clogged fresh air from coming in. You gagged against the strain to breath, your eyes watering helplessly as you searched the halls through wobbly vision.
But flames kicked higher, raging like a warring storm that was far from ending.
Your hand smothered your mouth to try and filter out the smoke before it could take its damage. God. Where was everyone?
“Grand… Grandma!!” You called again, coughing on your own saliva. Somebody groaned in the distance, weak and vulnerable. Shit, was that..?
“Pips!” Caleb slammed through the front door, eyes wild as they searched the kitchen, then the living room, then down the hallway where you leant against the wall with a hand over your mouth. “Shit, come on, we need to get out now.”
One hand was clenched, the other reached out for you when he neared. You reeled away, eyes watery and anguished.
“No, we have to get grandma!”
his jaw tightened. He looked down the hall, flames ate at the walls, charring childhood photos.
“There’s not enough time.”
Something cracked in your chest at the coldness in his voice. This was their grandmother. The woman who wasn’t related by blood but took them in like they were.
Heat sizzled and melted the paint on the walls.
“Caleb.. we can’t just leave..” You pleaded, begged, with your eyes, your hands that grabbed onto his shirt, stilling him from turning and leading you both out.
A burst of flames shot forward. Caleb grabbed you and spun you both harshly to avoid the flames. Too close. Way too close. You gasped, clutching onto him tightly. Shaking.
Another groan down the hallway. A cough.
A tear slid down your cheek, hot and burning.
The fire was turning savage, raging against the walls it was contained in. Neither of you would be able to go back and save her. Not if you wanted to leave in one piece.
“We’re going. Now.”
He pulled you by the hand and dragged you down the hallway. The wooden floors had begun to burn, turning so hot that standing still for too long would start to cook the soles of your feet.
Your grip tightened around his, choking against the acrid invasion of smoke in your lungs. It coiled hot and disgusting in your chest, blocking your airways until the both of you reached the front door and slammed into fresh air and instability.
He brought you far away from the house.
Swirls of orange and red twisted and raged behind the glass until it couldn’t take the heat anymore and shattered. An array of speckled glass shot across the lawn.
Caleb pulled you close but the shards never reached you.
“Caleb,” you sniffled, staring wide eyed at the home you grew up in. Your chest heaved up and down in ragged bursts as you sucked in the fresh air you had lost. He turned to your soot smudged cheeks and bleary eyes.
The iciness in his gaze startled you more than the abruptness of the fire ever could.
You tried to ignore it, the way his shoulders had tensed, the tight grip he held your hand in, like letting go was releasing something precious and valuable. It was the shock of the fire, that’s all.
“What are we going to do?” Their home had been burnt, their grandma stuck in the fire. Sirens screamed in the distance, drawing closer with urgency.
“Don’t worry, pips.” He tugs you closer, lips forming into a sweet, icy grin. “I’ve got you. I’ve got us.”
It was strange, the way you wanted to recoil when his arms wrapped around you. This should be comforting. Being in his arms should feel like protection and familiarity. But it felt cold, strange.
You wrapped your arms around his waist.
For now you would just hold him until the firefighters came and rid you of the horrible sight of your home, the only one you had known, burning down.
Something fell to the ground. It was soft, nothing heavy, but there nonetheless. You looked down.
A burnt match.
Your body turned rigid like stone.
Breath shaky, fingers instinctually curling around his shirt.
“There, there, pipsqueak. I’m here.”
His arms tightened around your shoulders.
You choked on a sob, but not for the reason of the fire. No, for the person who started it.
Betrayal slammed behind your ribs. It twisted with rage, a sharp knife plunged into your back. Burning hot, chipped with the crack of your heart. It simmered, bubbled, then trembled beneath your skin. Caleb continued to hush you like nothing was wrong, pressing a firm kiss against your temple. Acting like this was nothing but a bad dream..
The ambulance rolled to a screeching stop, the police car followed afterwards.
Emergency respondents jogged up to you both, from there it was a blur. They hauled you into the back of the ambulance to check your vitals. Nothing critical, but worth being checked anyway.
You don’t remember the questioning, your responses. All you remember is feeling the burn of purple eyes staring at your side profile while being questioned. The heat of his body when he approached made you flinch. Warmth, not the comforting kind. The kind that made you sweat and tremble.
When the cops pulled away and the firemen hosed down your house, blackened by char and soot, you watched, because it gave you something to focus on rather than the large hand pressed against the small of your back.
“Everything will be alright. It’ll just be us. Forever.”
You didn’t like the sound of that at all.
It felt like chains binding you to his side and you don’t think he even had the key to let you go.
“Yeah..” you mumbled dazedly. “Forever.”
He smiled and pulled you closer. “Don’t look so glum, pips. She’s resting peacefully now, watching over us from above.”
There was something about how cheerful he sounded that ignited something in your chest. Something hot and vengeful.
“You did this.” You spat under your breath. Rough with the aftereffects of inhaling too much smoke. The smoke he initiated. The fire he started. The life he took.
Caleb cocked his head to the side as he watched the firefighters work. “Did what? I saved you, didn’t I?”
Your hands trembled as they clenched into fists.
“Why? Why would you do that?” When you looked up, angry and horrified all over, he was already watching you. That startling indifference settling back into place now that nobody was watching him.
“Oh don’t look so shocked.” He crooned, pinching your cheek like you were five again. You flinched. “I was only doing what’s necessary to have you all to myself.”
it felt like a bucket of ice cold water was dropped down your back. All to himself? You were no prize, you were not something to be won and sought after.
“Everybody kept getting in my way.” The hand that pinched your cheek earlier now rubbed over your skin. He started talking to himself, absentmindedly, growing more frustrated by the second. “They all wanted you, but they can’t have you now. No.. they won’t be able to six feet under.”
Your eyes widened a fraction. The fury from before stilled, caught. Because the gears started to work, everything slowly starting to click into place like some horrible, jagged puzzle.
Why the people you got close to suddenly stopped speaking to you, the ones you never saw again. The same ones everybody thought had moved countries.
You thought back to past lovers who broke up with you without reason and fled.
And then you remembered how Caleb had always been there afterwards, soothing you back to sleep because it wouldn’t take you without the comfort. You sickly recall every time he’d smile and tell you that there were other fish in the sea.
Back then, you believed it was just the natural way he grew to comfort you. You had always been the emotional type, the child that cried when they fell over and sniffled over sad animal videos.
That was natural.
This wasn’t anywhere close.
He smiled, but it lacked the warmth you were used to.
“Time to get you to the hospital, pips! Can’t have you being sick, hm?”

The soft mattress curves around your back. Enough so that you could sink into it comfortably with your husband laying on top of you, his arms wrapped around your waist. The weight of him pressed down against your stomach and chest, firm and grounding. Could you breathe? If you concentrated hard enough, sure. You would rather suffocate beneath him than to tell him to move, though.
Rubbing a hand against his jawline, the prickly stubble he’s let go for a few days scratches back.
You smile to yourself. A little bit too pleased.
It’s been so long since you’ve seen a proper stubble on Zayne. He never lets it grow out because of his job and the requirement for personal hygiene and maintenance.
Ridiculous if they asked you.
In the early hours of the morning you would find him standing in the bathroom, a towel slung around his narrow hips and shaving cream along his jawline and down the column of his neck.
Some days you would help and carefully run the razor against the grain of his hair growth, other days you would stand at the doorway and stare mournfully at what could have been.
Green eyes stare up at you lazily, brimming with a tiredness only the morning haze could bring. It was one of his days off, thankfully, giving you the morning together and plans you probably wouldn’t attend.
“What are you smiling at?” His voice was soft, roughened around the edges from just recently waking up. You loved when his voice deepened like this.
“Nothin,” your grin widened.
He stared silently, waiting.
You caved before he could even speak a word.
“Your face is just so prickly, that’s all.” Your thumb rubbed over his cheek to where the line of his beard started to form. He leaned into your hand like a cat preening for affection, rubbing against you, sighing deep in his chest. “You never let it grow like this.”
His beard hadn’t grown that long, so it was a bit dramatic to act like this, but it has been many months since you’ve seen it any longer than this. It was nice. A bit too nice.
The longer you stared at his face, the more deranged your thoughts began to be.
The corner of his mouth lifted into that lazy smile you loved so much. “I’m shaving it tonight.”
A moment of silence passes.
Then another.
Your eyebrow twitched.
“What do you mean you’re shaving it off?”
Zayne places an innocent, featherlight kiss to the heel of your palm. If it was to distract you—it semi worked. “It means I am taking a razor and shaving the stubble away.”
“But why?” You whined dramatically and squished his cheeks together in retaliation for the betrayal.
“Hygiene, sweetheart. Surgeons need to maintain a diligent hygiene routine to ensure procedures go smoothly.”
“That’s going against my diligent happiness routine.” You protested. “Do you know how painful it is to see your face so baby smooth? Agonising.”
“Is this your polite and direct way of asking me to grow out my beard?” He asks softly, eyes lowering. You reach up and yank on a strand of black hair, he hissed between his teeth. “[name], play nice.”
The edge in his voice makes something sweet and hot flutter in your stomach. Zayne stares at you with the same mock annoyance he always did when you acted like this. Tugging his hair, tickling him from behind when he’s making your morning coffee, slapping his ass in broad daylight.
You do it all so shamelessly.
Unfortunately for you, playing innocent never wins you any brownie points. Zayne was as strict as they came.
“I’m just saying love,” you continue as if the boneless threat was never there to begin with. “It’s easier to make a mess out of this pretty face when there’s something to.. hm, how should I say this? Something I can soak.”
You lean closer to his face with a playful, downright sinful grin toying at your mouth. His cheeks warmed beneath your hand, dusting with a layer of pink.
“You..” the words died on his tongue like a fraying ember. It seems you grow more and more shameless the longer you’ve been married.
“What?” You laugh, running your fingers through his hair. He watches you warily like you would yank on it again, you don’t. “Was that too much, husband?” Your voice lowers an octave.
His throat bobbed nervously. “No.. not at all, wife.”
You hummed softly, pleased.
“I’m still shaving it.”
The whiny groan that came from your throat was purely childish. You pushed his face away and made him roll off you. “Zayne!”
He laughed, deep in his gut, and pulled you back by the waist.
You curled back into his chest without protest.
Now laid on his side, Zayne reaches a hand up to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear, kissing your forehead as he went like that would soothe the bone deep ache of him shaving his face. It absolutely didn’t.
“You will live.” He promised sweetly.
“No I won’t.”
“Then you should make the most of my beloved beard now, wife.” He pushed you flat against the bed, leaning over your body with a heat in his gaze that turns the vibrant green into a molten variant. “Before it’s gone.”
Heat burns invitingly in your gut. Your grin spread wicked. “I plan to.”

“Mr Jotaro!!” You knocked on the door leading into his office. After not receiving an answer, not even a noncommittal grunt like you were used to, you pushed it open. Expecting sideway glares and annoyed grunts, you squeeze your eyes shut and prepare to release an onslaught of apologies.
Nothing. You peek an eye open. Not even a breath out of place.
All of his papers were stacked into one neat pile.
In perfect order—unlike your smaller cubical.
Photos on the wall, your grocery list from a month ago somewhere in the clutter of pens, papers, and a day old musli bar you forgot to take home.
You frowned. Huh.
Where would Dr Kujo be if not in his office? You checked the maintenance room—nothing. Roamed around the centre asking passerby employees. Shrugs and mumbled guesses where all you got.
And so you went out to the Oceanside. Where sand bleeds into waves. The coast was warm this evening. You peeled off your shoes, seeing a white jacket in the distance.
A seagull flew overhead.
The sand was warm and squishy between your toes.
“Mr Jotaro?” You walk down the beach. By the incline of his head, you know he heard you. “You have a report due by 9pm.”
He grunted and stuffed his hands into his pockets.
Reports and deadlines weren’t what he wanted to hear about in the afternoons where quiet beaches were the only place he could properly think.
So you stand a foot away from him in silence, gazing at the ripples in the ocean. A seagull dives down into the water, splashing up water as it went.
“That’s why you came down here?” He queried tonelessly.
“You lose track of time these days.”
He huffed something dangerously close to a laugh.
Because of course you would say that.
Jotaro wasn’t keen on taking an assistant from the very beginning. He never wanted to take on as many employees as he did. But there was you, who was eager to learn and this impressive degree backing you up as if it would be the big stamp of approval.
He had refused at first—there was no need. Everything was organised, everything flowed smoothly. Why would he hire an assistant if he could take care of everything by himself?
You requested—demanded, a trial run.
Thinking he could rid of you after the few hours you would be there to showcase your skills and capabilities, he accepted.
Believing you would disappear after that was a hopeless dream. Working at the centre had solidified your determination and you doubled your efforts to become his assistant. You had the skills to work with people, ran an office job once before so you knew how to send emails and file things away, had experience upon experience. He still didn’t want it.
That wasn’t to say you were shit at your job either, you were great actually. Quick on your feet, knowledgeable, not shy from doing the dirty work. When things needed to be done you were there to do them.
A part of him protested, the other mulled on the fact that the work load would be lighter. He wouldn’t be as stressed and working into the late hours of the night trying to tie everything off. There would be more time to focus on the important tasks of the day.
So he said yes. You grinned in victory.
From that day on his mornings consisted on hot mugs of coffee brewed skilfully by your own hands, daily reports, notes of concerns, and smooth sailing. Somehow you had wiggled into his head and suggested more hands on deck—he said no, you smiled, and then somewhere down the track more hands on deck started to appear.
You filed his papers when he got sluggish, sprayed his office with something fresh and natural so it was more comfortable to work in, left notes for him so he could remember the important details of the day.
Everything ran a bit smoother with you around.
“You should head back.” He said, a note too soft for his liking.
And for some reason..
“Why?” You turn your head away from the setting sun.
..for some really odd reason..
He gave you a flat stare. “It’s nearing the end of autumn woman. You’ll freeze.”
..he started to care.
It came in slow, restless waves.
You rolled your eyes and smiled. “Stoic Dr Kujo showing an ounce of care? The ocean floor is shaking at the revelation.”
It first showed itself when you had cut yourself on a fishing hook that had gotten caught in the mouth of a turtle. You had been doing a conservation project with him out on the waters, removing rubbish and such when you had swum upon a turtle with a nasty fishing hook stuck in the side of its mouth.
Wiggled around so much that when you finally pulled it out, you nicked yourself.
As soon as you were back on the boat he grabbed your hand and dabbed away the beading blood.
“Don’t be careless next time.”
It was the closest thing to be careful that you would ever get.
Then he started to make sure you were eating and hydrating properly after you nearly fainted on the docks. Too much sun, too little care.
He carried an extra water bottle with him from then point on.
You were as much trouble as you were helpful.
Sighing, Jotaro shook his head.
One minute you were smiling at the horizon, the next something soft and warm draped over your shoulders. The white fabric of his jacket slid comfortably over you, way too big, drowned you in woven cotton and intention.
Your neck warmed before you could stop it.
The salty smell of him enveloped you. Every breath sucked him deeper in.
“won’t you be cold?”
His black shirt clung to his shoulders.
How distracting. How absolutely inappropriate.
“I’m more accustomed to this weather than you are.”
That was true.
You slid your arms through the sleeves and hugged it closer. “Thank you.”
“Don’t be so careless next time.”
Your grin sharpened. “You still have that report to do, doctor.”
“Good grief.” He muttered under his breath.

—. Hashirama would first see you at the training grounds when he used to train with Madara. Battle ready, determined, now completely awestruck by the fierce way you twist your body to evade your teammate and strike back like a billowing storm.
“What are you staring at?” Madara snapped, crossing his arms in the way only a sassy twelve year old boy could.
Hashirama points, even though he knows it’s a rude gesture to point a finger at somebody. “Who is she?”
His training partner looks in the direction he pointed at and scoffs under his breath. “That’s just my older sister. Shes a show off so just ignore her!”
—. He would see you every so often around the village, but never had the courage to go up to you. Black hair swaying in the wind, jostling with each turn of your head. You never lowered your eyes for anybody, never cowered.
—. Anywhere you went, hashirama’s eyes would trail after you like a lost puppy who didn’t know where to go.
—. Madara noticed nearly immediately. Of course he did. The pair trained together at the same training grounds as you and all Hashirama did was stare, stare, and stare.
“Oi. What are you looking at?” Though this time he knew exactly what, or who, he was ogling.
Hashirama looked like a deer caught between a rock and a hard place. There was no denying who he’d been staring at for the last three minutes. “The tree. Over there.” He tried, pointed to a tree that had no significance. A bit too close to where you trained, sweat gleaming down your neck. He swallowed. “It looks funny, right?”
Madara’s eyes lowered in annoyance.
—. You were a ghost after that. Slipping through the shadows, never seen too long in one spot. You got busy, and so did he. There was not time to ogle, to daydream about how he would spill his love or what he would gift you on the first date—that is if you winded up accepting.
—. It had been months since he ever caught wind of your presence when he finally saw you. You were at a street vendor. Just before you could hand the cash over, Hashirama slid in beside you with a grin too big and paid for your meal.
You looked over your shoulder, eyes wide then narrowed. “Why would you do that?”
He shrugs. “Nice gesture.”
A scoff under your breath. You move to the waiting bay. He followed after you.
“People don’t just do nice gestures.”
His grin was splitting. “You’re madara’s sister right?”
You sigh, like the relation was bothersome. “Who’s asking?”
“me.” His chest puffs out. “I’ve seen you train a few times when we were younger.” At your dubious glare, his neck grows warm. “Uhm, not like that. We were at the same training grounds when Madara and I used to spar.”
Your silence spread for an aching moment, then your brow twitches in recognition. “I remember. He used to complain about how ditzy you were.”
Embarrassment flushed hot in his chest. “Ah.. did he now.”
—. After that, Hashirama saw you a lot more. The book store browsing for something light and easy to read, the weapons shop when your blades got too blunt or snapped at the hilt from usage, and then at the training grounds where you’d do pull-ups on a tree branch.
—. You weren’t one of the nicest women in the village. He knew that. There were probably a lot more well-mannered girls that his family would approve of. An uchiha? That would gain him a few odd looks and too many pitying glances. But Hashirama was weirdly drawn to you.
—. Your last name carried weight, and his did too. He found comfort in the fact that you could share that aspect of his life with him.
—. It was a hard task to even get you to be his friend, or friendly. You weren’t curt, a little bit too straight to the point for his taste, and you rolled your eyes so much he often worried about whether or not they would get stuck there.
—. Spending time with you for the first few months was more like sharing space. He would coincidentally show up to the training grounds and read on a nearby tree, not so subtly watching you train every now and then. You never stopped. You never told him to go away.
—. Then, you weren’t as rude. You didn’t shoulder off his attempts to spend time with you on official grounds. Finally, after so long, he took you out to a nice little cafe. If anyone asked him, it was a date. If anybody questioned you, it was not one.
—. To be married was a long, long road. You were friends for a few aching years, seeing each other without a label for another, before finally dating. After two years of dating he bought you a ring and proposed.
—. Hashirama realised something soon after you were married. You weren’t as cold and standoffish as you used to be. He remembered all the rolled eyes and the scoffs under your breath, now your eyes softened, your posture was a lot more at ease than he remembered.
You smiled a lot behind closed doors and got his jacket ready for the cold mornings.
He hasn’t gotten used to it yet.
Every touch, every smile, sends his heart racing into overdrive.
—. When Madara found out you were not just dating, but getting married, his fuse short circuited. The two of you? Married? You actually said yes to his dopey friend? Then he got strangely protective. You had rolled your eyes, sighed, and left. That was not your problem. But it was Hashirama’s, and he was sweating profusely.
—. And speaking of relatives finding out, hashirama’s was not any less thrilled. They were furious. His brother was not happy, but he wasn’t so loudly against it as their clan was. Tobirama still didn’t like the uchiha’s, tolerated you through a tight jaw, and moved on.
𝑛𝑠𝑓𝑤
—. Taking you on the marital bed for the first time was a process. He was a bit clumsy, you were nervous, and your tangled limbs and eagerness made it hard to manoeuvre.
—. Every time after that was a learning curve. He learned just the right angles that made your eyes roll for perfectly different reasons, pressed down on your clit right as you were about to cum just so he could hear what kind of noises you would make.
—. Hashirama is definitely a pleasure dom, but is open to letting you take control too.
—. One night you’re splayed on your back, the next your straddling his hips and sinking down on his cock with a guttural moan.
—. He whines. A lot. Breathless praises, hips slamming into your heat relentlessly. Cheeks flushed.
—. He cums inside. He wants children. He wants you to be swollen with sons and daughters. Its untamed hunger that gets released onto your poor, aching pussy.
—. Wakes you up with his mouth between your legs. Delving into your heat like a man starved. Eyes shut in ecstasy, hips rutting into the mattress, chin dripping in your arousal. He’s messy and unashamed.
—. His favourite position would be missionary. Any way that he could see your beautiful face twist up in pleasure, he’s loving it.
—. A kisser for sure. Chants I love you’s into your mouth when he cums, rutting his hips against yours, pumping you full of his seed, whining desperately as you claw at his back.
。𖦹°‧ ⋆.˚ 𝖳𝖮𝖡𝖨𝖱𝖠𝖬𝖠 𝘴. ᢉ𐭩
—. I’m going to be honest. The only way I see you marrying this man is if it’s arranged for the benefit of both clans. His hatred for the uchiha does not waver much, if at all.
—. Finding out that he would be married to you was like looking up at the sky and realising it was caving in and you could do nothing about it. Tragic. Purely tragic.
—. You had about three months before the marriage ceremony would commence, three months to get to know a stranger before you would live with him for the rest of your life, and he ignored you for about half of it.
—. It didn’t matter to you, anyway. You went about your limited days as per usual, training in the senju clan grounds, going outside to watch the stars, slipping away from duty and expectation to go see your brother and relentlessly complain about how not fair this all was. But it’s not like he could do anything for you. Nobody could.
—. You got along with his brother Hashirama more than you ever wanted to with Tobirama. He was sweet, friendly, showed you around the compound so you wouldn’t get lost down the winding hallways and the streets that looked all the same. He tried to reassure you about his brother, though it fell hopelessly.
“It just takes him a while to get used to people.” He offered the comfort you didn’t need, smiling nervously as if he didn’t really believe himself either.
You stared, unimpressed.
—. In the last month and a half before your wedding day, tobirama approached you by the library. Not looking thrilled, he asked to join you on a walk around the gardens. You agreed out of pure obligation.
—. The walk was awkward, to say the least. Too forced on both ends. It was almost a challenge to see who would break the silence first. You did a whole lap around the garden beds and nobody spoke a whisper.
Then, before you would go inside to your respective rooms, he stopped. “I’m doing this out of duty. Don’t think I’d ever actually love somebody like you.”
His words hit cold.
You didn’t turn around. “I’m not here on a fantasy, senju. I care less about you than I do the weather.”
—. And for appearances, he continued to show up. Because if he didn’t the elders would have a fit. This was meant to be an alliance. A security between two clans. So he showed up to your door, escorted you to wherever you needed to be, all with a tight jaw and not making eye contact with you.
—. You and tobirama would be neck and neck with how indifferent you both are about each other. You argued through eyes alone, tightened your grip on his arm when you couldn’t verbalise how much you hated this.
—. It was out of duty, you both swore. Until it wasn’t.
—. The day of your wedding was grand. Both uchiha and senju gathered alike. Tobirama was still as a stone at the alter, awaiting his inevitable demise to walk down the rows of faces he recognised and those he didn’t.
—. When the doors swung open and the music started to play, your father walking you down the aisle to hand you off, something in Tobirama’s chest tweaked. It was subtle, annoyingly so, and he couldn’t drag his eyes away from you even if he tried.
—. You stepped onto the alter, hands interlinked with his. The cut of your dress was elegant enough to be modest, but showed enough of your cleavage to make him swallow. His eyes darted up to your eyes, you raised a brow.
—. The wedding carried on. His hand on your waist for appearances, all for show—he swore. You smiled when you had to, nodded respectfully to those who congratulated you and offered union gifts.
Once they dispersed, both of you sighed and pulled away from each other. Even when lingering felt almost natural.
“I hated that.” You muttered, tipping back the glass of wine eagerly. He grunted in agreement.
—. After the ceremony was done and you said goodbye to your family, you entered your marital room within the new home in the senju compound. It was stiff at first, too awkward for your liking because you knew exactly what happened in here.
“go to bed.” Tobirama sighed, loosening his tie.
“what?” You squinted, trying to decipher what his intentions were.
“Sleep.” He said again. “I will take the floor.”
For a moment you just stood there in your wedding dress, the one everyone expected him to take off. Then your shoulders slumped.
“I’m not letting my husband sleep on the floor.” You slowly unzipped the back of your dress. “I’ll just put a pillow between us.”
He scoffed something close to a laugh. “How childish.”
—. That next morning the pillow had somehow been discarded and Tobirama was curled around your back, an arm around your waist.
-. When he woke up he pretended like nothing ever happened. You did the same.
—. Between the lines of duty and alliances, he found himself tolerating you more and more. To the point where toleration bled into something warm.
—. Instead of the stiff hand on your waist, he held your hand. Duty, he said. But the way he leaned in to whisper something in your ear about the stupid meetings you had to attend said otherwise.
—. You weren’t immune to him as much as you tried to let on. Leaning in when he spoke, eyes drifting from his eyes to his lips frequently, smiling in private. The way marital duties slowly started to slip into your routine.
—. In the mornings Tobirama would wake up to coffee on the desk and you reading on the couch. Nothing was said but your eyes occasionally flicked to him, and his did you.
—. Before long duty turned into connection. He brought you out of the clan to the bookstore one evening. Stood back as you browsed, paid for it when you decided. Then it turned into visiting your brother.
Madara opened the door and glared when he saw Tobirama. “What are you doing here?”
the muscle in his jaw clenched. “Are you not happy to see your sister, Uchiha?”
You watched, annoyed with the both of them, and draggged Madara back inside by his ear. He may be big now, but you were still older.
“Shut up. The both of you.”
𝑛𝑠𝑓𝑤
—. When you finally build the connection enough to start getting intimate, tobirama is gentle. Nearly afraid of touching you. Something inside battled against each other, the part of him that used to despise uchiha, and the other that has grown soft for you.
—. The conviction would start because the clan elders started to push for children. It would solidify the alliance. They said that for the marriage. And now everytime he looks at you, inappropriate thoughts start to flash in his mind.
You caught him staring at you intensely. “Everything okay?” You asked, slowly, like he might startle out of whatever daze he was caught in.
He looked at you, neck growing red. One step forward. You raised an eyebrow. Then he got so close his chest pressed against yours. You swallowed.
For a moment he debated something. Was he ready to cross that line? he stepped away, jaw clenched tight. You watched him leave the room with bated breath and a heart that wouldn’t slow down.
—. And then one night, in the crack of midnight, tobirama laid restless. All he had been thinking about was you, of how soft your skin must feel, and he slid behind you. You had stopped putting a barrier between you, making it easy for him to bury his face into the crook of your neck. You stiffened, awake.
“Tobi?” You whispered, soft with sleep.
“Please.” His voice was guttural, rough with need. A hand slid lower down your waist, toying with your waistband.
—. Tobirama likes to act like he’s in charge, but one kiss below his ear has his hips jerking and mouth parting in a whiny groan.
—. Loves watching you ride him. Especially with your hair down. The glazed look in your eyes as he hammers into you from below sends him into overdrive.
—. Every night starts off sweet. A gradual ascent into fucking you stupid. He just can’t help himself. You claw at him like he’s the only thing you need, moan his name in a way that makes his head spin.
—. Mostly dominant, though likes to let you think you have control on occasion.
—. Not into anything exotic I don’t believe. Will partake in somno after lots of convincing on your part. He didn’t want to take advantage of you—ever. But after you woke him up with his dick hitting the back of your throat, he can’t say he doesn’t mind it.
—. Favourite position would probably be doggy and reverse cowgirl. Tobirama is nothing if he isn’t an ass guy. He loves the ripples in your muscles as he slams into you from behind, one hand tangled in your long inky locks, the other gripping your hip.
The moan you let out was simply sinful. Muffled by the pillows your fingers grip so tightly, quivering around his cock as he slams back into you again and again.
“tobi… hah.. slow—slow down!”
He grunted, eyes glazed over with lust. His hand tangles in the curls of your hair and pulls you up against his chest. Your sweaty skin pressed against his, hips rutting back against him despite the very words to slow down leaving you not too long ago.
“slow down?” He pants, sliding the hand that was in your hair up your body. Trailing teasing digits along your sensitive skin until they wrap around your neck. Light enough for you to breathe, insistent enough to hold you still.
You grip his forearm, words failing you as your orgasm built higher.

Ex Jotaro who swore he would never see your face again because the ache of you never seemed to pass.
Ex Jotaro who saw you at the cafe you had your first date at and couldn’t help but stare at you, hopelessly, feeling too much for someone who was meant to move on.
Ex Jotaro who would stare at the old messages you sent him when you were still dating, at the contact name he couldn’t stomach changing, at the way love flowed seamlessly between hearted messages and little ‘I love you’s.
Ex Jotaro who was haunted by dreams of you dancing near the Oceanside, in a wedding gown you never got to wear with your hands up in the air and a soft breeze rolling through your hair.
Ex Jotaro who couldn’t look at another woman even if he wanted to.
Ex Jotaro who fights with himself daily to not enter your life again, knowing that you were slowly healing from the break up.
Ex Jotaro who said he would be respectful of the distance.
Ex Jotaro who still adores you. Who carries a photo of you grinning in his wallet, who looks at it every time the sun starts to set and wishes for you to be there in the morning with him.
Ex Jotaro who saw you on the shore, feet in the sand, wind in your hair, and couldn’t help the breathless way he said your name.
Ex Jotaro who watched, transfixed as you turned around, beautiful eyes wide with surprise. As if this wasn’t the very place Jotaro felt like he could breathe properly.
Ex Jotaro who cursed himself with every step he took towards you because he knew that he should have left, he should have slipped away when your attention was on the horizon.
Ex Jotaro who felt time stop when you let him be so close, who drank you in and craved more. The dress you wore brushed against your ankles. It billowed in the wind. You were glowing.
Ex Jotaro who felt his eyes sting seeing you so close.
Ex Jotaro who caved into you the moment your hand rested on his cheek like you were testing if he was real or something your mind had made up. Because oh, he didn’t know how much your hands meant to him. How much the simple act of touching him could make him cower before you.
“Jojo?” You whispered, dragging your fingertips along his cheekbones. Awe gleamed across your eyes, speechless. His face crumpled, ache bleeding through the cracks of his composure. “Oh Jotaro.”
He missed that. The way your voice soothed every rough edge in his body, slipped between the sturdy guard of his ribs and straight through his heart.
He missed when you would call his name in the early morning when he slept through his alarms, groggy, endearing even when you’re the one who got woken up.
Your arms enveloped him in a hug and before he could register just how much he needed the warmth, his arms had already solidified around your waist and pulled you closer.
Warm, just as he remembered. Just like he dreamed about.
A wave rolled up against the shore, kissing your ankles before retreating back.
His face buried itself into the mass of your hair, breathing in the familiar scent he used to love waking up to.
The position stayed like that for a moment. A golden glow cracked across the ocean surface, sprinkling across the beach and casting it across the side of your face.
He pulled away, just enough to look at you.
“Still looking as handsome as ever.” You teased lightly, earnestly.
He scoffed under his breath. “You can’t say that.”
“Why not?”
“You chose this.”
Your hands slowly drop down to your sides.
Another wave rolled in.
something splintered in your chest.
“I did.” You say.
You wanted to say more, so did he.
His eyes stung. He blamed it on the salty wind and looked away.
“But what if I wanted to give us another go?”
Jotaro stared at your side profile like he was deciphering between reality and his own imagination. Because as much as he should have said no, to not tangle with the past, the past has been all that he’s known. Loving you was all he’s ever known.
His silence spurred you on. “You don’t have to say yes. I know it’s selfish of me to want you back after I broke things off, but,” he cupped your face. “I still miss you. I wake up—“
and he kisses you like he’s been waiting on you for years. A gasp is swallowed by his mouth, pressing closer like he could absorb you into his skin and it still not be enough.
Even after he breaks away, he’s looking at your lips like he wants more.
“I have dreamed of you so much that your face haunts me.” His hands settle on your waist, light, like he doesn’t know where exactly he stands. “I can’t look at another woman without seeing your face.”
His silence stretches, you smile.
“Just say yes Jotaro.”
“Yes.” He breathes.
As you lean in for another kiss, his hand rests on the nape of your neck. His head tilts, chest rising and falling with each stuttered breath. For the first time in months his heart steadies into a slow, firm beat, his shoulders loose. Your body against his.

𝗇𝖺𝗋𝗎𝗍𝗈 𝗎𝗓𝗎𝗆𝖺𝗄𝗂 | jealousy is a disease
.’ The first time Naruto met you, he didn’t know what to think. You had these weird, watchful eyes that plucked through the delicate webbing of his character. It was like you knew something. So it was safe to say he was a little off-put by the idea of having you join team seven. I mean, there were enough of them as it is, right?
.’ What would throw him off the most, is that a part of him felt.. connected with you. Like a story unspoken and history unexplained.
.’ But Naruto being Naruto, he would fold pretty easy when he got hint of how michevious you actually were. Now he wouldn’t call it pranking people, but you were finicky, tricking those around you with smooth words and slight inconveniences. Like the time someone asked you where the nearest public restroom was and you gave them directions to a brothel. He had to admit, it was a bit funny.
.’ He would grow to tolerate you, then you would buy him ramen on an off chance you were trailing about, and then he’d love you. Anyone that pays for his ramen won a golden ticket straight into his good books.
.’ Now, Naruto wouldn’t be inherently aware of his own feelings. He knows what he felt for Sakura, but that’s the only basis he has on romance or any kind of relationship. So when his gut twists painfully and his jaw automatically snaps tight and the sight of you standing next to someone else—grinning in that sharp, uncanny way of yours—he doesn’t know what to do with himself.
.’ There’s no point in trying to battle with himself and speak reason, all he can focus on is the way that this new person leans into your orbit, enamoured with the way you speak—the same way he was. His head is a war, torn between acknowledging that yes you can speak with other people, and denying all logic and believing you should only talk to him. Be with him, and only him. Because why else would you want to talk to anyone when he’s all that you needed?
.’ After the first sign of his darkening thoughts, he stops, swallowing thickly as he realises that this.. isn’t like him in the slightest. With tense muscles, he forces himself to look away and goes back to his apartment. What he’s feeling is dangerous, and there’s nothing that could explain how horribly angry seeing you with someone else made him feel.
.’ Naruto isn’t loud in his possessiveness, it’s a quiet, simmering thing. Once your relationship (friendship or otherwise) progresses down the road, the more he grows emboldened to touch you. You’re not one to say no, so you allow him to drag you down the street whenever you hang out, ignoring the way he eyes constantly watched you, like he was searching for something only he knew how to obtain.
.’ One thing that he absolutely hated, was seeing you pay attention to others. Whether it be pointing them in the direction of brothels when they asked for a public bathroom, or when you eerily watched people pass by with a cryptic smile on your face. Every second made his blood boil. So, he would start making up ways to have your attention all on him.
.’ It started with doing something stupid. Tripping down in front of the team, bashfully scratching the back of his neck like it was all an accident—his gaze locked onto you just to see if you’d react. When your eyes glinted with amusement and laughed, his chest would ache in that good way he loved whenever you were around. Then it slowly started to progress further. He got reckless on missions, taking risks that were unnecessary and caused strife in the teams dynamic. None of that mattered, because each and every time your hands would grab him, yanking him away from danger like you just knew he would pull something stupid.
.’ And he’d grin when you yanked his collar, scowling and muttering obscenities because he was so stupid and reckless. Your breath would fan over his cheek, hot and heavy like one more stupidity driven move would cause you to sink your teeth into him out of frustration—and Naruto certainly wouldn’t mind that at all, not one bit.
.’ because of your.. attributes. You were a lot more fox like in appearance than he was. In saying that, you garnered a lot more attention, and a lot more scrutinising glares. Naruto was used to attracting that attention himself, up until he proved himself. But even then, there were people who still hated what he represented.
.’ It made him angry, no furious. Sure, you were a little unconventional in your ways. Always causing strife amongst the villagers—but they were harmless pranks! Things that he used to do.
.’ Naruto walked closer to you when going past vendors who you’d previously targeted, matching their scowls with an intensity that caught them off guard. His mind was a whirlwind of urges he’s never experienced before. Images of blood flashing on his palms, their eyes staring lifelessly into his own. It didn’t disgust him, not when he knew that he’d be doing it for you. He would only snap out of his daze when you slipped your hand into his and tug him along. He’d stare, mouth gaping like he was about to say something, and you’d shoot him this look, like you knew exactly what he was thinking. Swallowing down the flutter in his stomach, he followed along soundlessly.
.’ Naruto is jealous, but not cruel.
.’ “Hey, don’t leave my side, okay? I just want to protect you.. forever. Huh? Oh nothing!”
𝗌𝖺𝗌𝗎𝗄𝖾 𝗎𝖼𝗁𝗂𝗁𝖺 | rage that consumes slowly but surely
.’ Sasuke knew you would be different to him the moment your foxy eyes connected with his. You were like that knucklehead Naruto, but not as emotionally intense. You were different in your own rightful way. You held yourself loosely, like the bashing remarks of others held no effect on you.
.’ You had an odd relationship with Sasuke. One minute he would be tolerable, easing into stiff conversation, then the next minute he’s scorning you. Your strategy is wrong, footwork off somehow—even though it’s not. He storms off before you can ask.
.’ He was supposed to be strong, the last remaining Uchiha with some semblance of dignity (but not really). That fondness in his chest, the warm, agitating feeling that built up whenever you were near, was a weakness. One he couldnt afford to harbour anymore. He’s tried and failed to get rid of it. No matter the time or space, you always managed to weasel yourself back into his spatial orbit.
.’ Now see, Sasuke is good with hiding how he feels about you. He’s not love sick, it’s a heavy feeling that settles deep within his chest. Something that feels like poison at the back of his throat, but so addicting that he can’t help swallowing just to taste it again.
.’ Your background intrigued him more than he was willing to admit. The sharp canines that poke out everytime you grin sparking interest whenever he’s in your vicinity—and he always is. Everyone else on the team found it odd how much Sasuke found himself in your orbit. Lingering, like a shadow swallowed up by flame.
.’ Soon enough Sasuke realised that he wouldn’t be getting rid of this feeling buried behind his ribcage, so he adjusted. He let himself linger just a bit, enough to settle the fire raging within whenever he was away from you. He wasn’t obvious, not to anyone else, at least.
.’ he’s jealous by nature. Sasuke hates to see you around anyone that wasn’t him. Believed that nobody deserved to be so close to you. Brush against you like they did.
.’ If people weren’t near you, they were avoiding you. Hated you. Sasuke didn’t need to investigate to understand the reason why. You looked strange, acted like secrets were yours to keep, deceived and lied, stringing people along because it was fun. He understood the hatred, but couldn’t help how his fists clenched by his sides whenever he caught someone glaring for too long.
.’ It infuriated him. Slowly but surely. When people got too careless around you, yanked on your tail too hard, shoved you when you were walking past—he couldn’t help but silently plot.
.’ Slowly, the people around you who had wrong you, scorned you, or prayed for your downfall, would start to disappear. He never acted surprised, never said that he didn’t, but you could see it in the way his cold eyes settled on you that he was hiding a lot more than he let on.
.’ “You’re not worth my time to do anything like that. Don’t be so arrogant.”
𝗌𝖺𝗄𝗎𝗋𝖺 𝗁𝖺𝗋𝗎𝗇𝗈 | curtesy is thrown out the window
.’ She was definitely off-put by you in the beginning.
.’ The way you smiled a bit too sharply set off alarm bells in her head. When you first joined, she avoided you like the plague. Because look at you. You had ears and tails, things that weren’t normal. Naruto was a freak but you, you were worse.
.’ Toying with her would be the highlight of your day. Taunting, teasing, making her question herself. She would get annoyed, snap at you for being an idiot.
.’ Then something changed. She didn’t know when it shifted, why her opinion of you had gone from annoyance to reluctant acceptance. Sakura would still scoff and roll her eyes, pretend that she didn’t actually care about you in the slightest.
.’ But when you were around other people? She was all too aware of where they were looking, of how they stared at you. Either with poorly concealed distaste or with too much interest for her liking.
.’ Sakura has no qualms about dragging you out of a conversation—literally. Latching onto your hand, pulling so hard you stumble, muttering something under her breath about wasting time and having things to do.
.’ When she realises that her feelings for you are more than she initially realised, she recoils. Her attention had always been on Sasuke, never on someone like you. Someone so tedious and agitating. It takes half the time for her to come back. Shes probably the quickest to accept her feelings and say that it’s all because she cared.
.’ After she accepts her own feelings about you, it all goes downhill. Sakura is a lot more sly than she lets on. She goes behind your back, ruins what little relationships you have—because all you need is her. Nobody else was good enough, nobody deserved you like she did.
.’ She would plot the downfall and make it look like an accident. But you knew, you knew very well that everything was because of her. But what could you do about it? Sakura knew that you didn’t have a good reputation to begin with, so what’s a little more salt in the wound if she gets to have you all to herself?
.’ She will say it’s all for love, that you deserve only the best. These people don’t understand you like she does. Why waste your time? She will be there for you.
.’ “Don’t be silly. They don’t love you like I do, they could never get between us. Not if I have anything to say about it.”
.’ Kakashi didn’t feel any trepidation towards you, he was more curious. He’s dealt with strange cases before, someone like you. But you weren’t like Naruto, you were completely different. Strange, too still, too sly at times.
.’ You were annoying at best.
.’ Kakashi danced around the idea of enjoying your company. He definitely didn’t find your pranks stupidly funny, and he definitely didn’t give you opportunities to do them. Absolutely not.
.’ He would take a lot longer to process his feelings than the others. Not because he avoids it, but because he analyses it. He watches the way you strut around the markets like people didn’t hate the feet you walked on, he watched as you brushed people off and stole their wallet. He should intervene, but he doesn’t.
.’ His obsession isn’t loud, it’s quiet, ever present.
.’ Before he realised, he found himself walking closer to you. Always nearby, whether you noticed or not. He lurked in the shadows, looking relaxed enough that he wasn’t suspicious, but his eyes always found you. Tracked where you went, how frequently.
.’ Then he started showing up to the places you frequented a lot. A coincidence, he shrugged. Nothing more. But his posture was too carefully crafted, like someone trying to act like ease was second nature.
.’ When villagers acted out against you, struck you, spat words at your feet like you were garbage, his response wasn’t immediately anger. It was a slow, creeping cold that burned behind his ribs.
.’ After you were far away, and the streets were thinned to none, he made his move.
.’ How long he spent cleaning up the mess he made? He didn’t know. Didn’t count. All he knew was that they were gone, and Kakashi wouldn’t mind doing it again, if it was for you.
.’ “Ah, I was just passing through. Funny seeing you here.”

Libraries always had this distinct, unmistakable quietness to them. No matter what time of day it was; whether it was the glow of the morning or the comfort of late afternoon. Even when nobody else was around, it still felt wrong to be too loud.
The lights had dimmed into something more comfortable about an hour ago. They always did at this time. The campus library was open throughout all hours of the night. Once it started to darken outside, the timer switched to a dim, warm glow that helped honour students cram in whatever they could in a more relaxed environment. Except, neither you or Josuke were honour students, rather you were just trying your best to pass.
Josuke was staring at his notebook, pen in hand like he was thinking long and hard about his study material. You knew better. He was spacing out, wasting time by pretending like he was busy and motivated, when in reality he was probably thinking about that new cafe that just opened down the street.
“What are you up to?”
“What?” His attention snagged on you. The surge of panic flared behind his eyes like a live wire as he fumbled for a lie, a cover up that you would believe. “Oh, uh, it was.. was..” You watched unimpressed as he fumbled through his material. “Section three!”
He looked at you, grinned, and nodded. Perfect cover.
“Are you lying to me right now?”
All that suave and terribly covered hesitancy deflated within the second. “Maybe.” He mumbled, but it wasn’t like he did it on purpose! Okay well that was also a lie, but he didn’t want to disappoint you. He hated the way your eyes would narrow into that judgy little look he knew all too well, the look you’d give him when you knew he could do better. He also didn’t like the way you sighed, because you expected that. He wanted to be motivated like you, he really did.
He tried to be productive and study, for a while. He flicked through the material like he knew exactly what to look for, read over words that didn’t compute entirely, and jotted down information that seemed important. Not that he would know what important actually meant regarding your upcoming exams.
Then you sighed, soft and patient, and Josuke knew he wouldn’t be able to get out of studying for long. Because even though his grades weren’t that important to him, you still drilled the information into his head until he wouldn’t be able to forget it even if he tried.
“All you have to do is ask me to help.” You said, shuffling closer to his side of the booth.
How could he want your help when he didn’t want to study at all in the first place? How could he possibly pay attention when your hair hung in loose curls over your shoulder, or how your nose scrunched up when you were trying to make sense of something in your booklet.
Josuke was distracted. Horribly distracted. Studying was probably the last thing on his mind right now.
He felt guilty, absolutely. You were doing your best to help him so he didn’t fail miserably and get kicked from the course, but you were just so damn beautiful when you bossed him around like that and explained topics in a way he could fully grasp.
You slid his notebook closer so it sat between the both of you, and started talking. From the why to the how, then to the application—it was easy to understand. Simple when you explained it like that.
A strand of hair fell in front of your face. You tried to blow it away, failed, and huffed. Josuke reached over and tucked it behind your ear like it was the most natural thing on this earth. And it was. He loved to touch, he loved to be close and offer his help whenever he could. You helped him, and he loved returning the favour.
“Are you paying attention?” You probed, smiling, then jabbed a finger into his side. He yelped a bit too loud, hand slapping over the spot you attacked like it had been a knife instead of a finger.
“Ouch! Of course I’m listening.” He was not.
You were rightfully doubtful. “So what did I say?”
Oh. His eyes dart down to the book, but before he could get any useful information out of it you snap it closed with a victorious little ‘you snooze you lose’ glint in your eye that made his cheeks flush. “Well, you said somethin’ about..” He couldn’t even pretend anymore. He deflated. “Sorry, I really am trying.”
Your smugness died into concern. “Is everything okay?”
“Yeah, yeah it is. I’m just distracted.”
You blink, then look around the library. Nobody was here except for you and him. The stillness should have been enough for even the most restless to be able to concentrate.
Josuke stared at you, crossed between pained and attempting to thrust a message into your head telepathically. It didn’t work. You were clueless.
After a moment of debate, he straightens his spine, throat bobbing with a nervousness that still haunted his every move. You have been dating for what? Two years now? And every time his heart started to thud a bit faster. He thought he would get used to the effortless way you drew his attention.
He could never have been more wrong in his life.
“What’s got you so distracted?” Your heart does this stupid little stutter in your chest when his hand lands on your knee. It was gentle, barely there, and you pretended like it wasn’t in favour of trying to decipher if this was a real, concerning issue—or just Josuke.
He doesn’t say anything for a while, too caught up in his own head to realise that you’ve said something. But he’s leaning closer. And oh, what that does to your heart was damn near dangerous. His face is mere inches away now, hesitating to move closer. Breath fanning across your lips, dizzying.
Stay focused.
You look up at him.
God, his eyes.
They begged for you in the way that starving men plead for the comfort of a warm meal. His eyes flicked from your eyes, to your nose, down to your lips and then back up again. His cheeks were tinged pink, his lips parted ever so slightly.
“You,” he nearly choked the word out, breathless and craving. “You have me so distracted. How can I focus on studying when all I can think about is you? How perfect you are..” His lips inched close, like time was asking for permission. “How pretty you look in this lighting.” His throat worked, so did yours. “You don’t know the things I want to do to you right now.”
Your cheeks warmed, leaning back into the seat until he was nearly on top of you. He cradled the side of your neck, thumb brushing over your jaw. If he could, he would spend an eternity admiring you.
“I can guess.” Your voice came out strained, heated.
There was studying that needed to be done, you knew that. You should really insist that it was important, because it was. Exams were closing in and time was of the essence.
But his hand crept higher up your thigh, his lidded stare pleading and begging in a way you couldn’t resist. In a way he knew you couldn’t resist.
“Can you?” He whispered, leaning in that touch closer to press a kiss against the corner of your mouth. Your breath trembled as he trailed his mouth across your jaw, lower down your neck, just where your shirt met your collarbone.
You felt the tremble in his shoulders as you threaded your fingers through his hair, the way his breath hitched when you tugged him closer.
“How about you show me?”
His heart lurched in his chest.
“yes, of course.” He fumbled for a second, knocking his wrist on the desk as he attempted to slide between your legs beneath. You muffled a giggle—grinned instead.
All that amusement died on your tongue when you looked down between your legs. Oh. His cheeks were flushed that beautiful shade of pink, his eyes lowered in embarrassment. Your thighs accommodated for his broad shoulders by instinct alone. For such a big man, he was so, so pretty on his knees.
You raked your hands through his hair, tugging him closer. Josuke let out a breath that was dangerously close to a whine. “You can touch me.”
Immediately his hands were on you, sliding under your knees and slotting them over his shoulder. For once in your life you were glad to be wearing a skirt. He bunched the fabric around your waist, wasting no time in leaning down to press open mouthed kisses along your clothed clit.
Supporting yourself on the palm of your hands, you let out a sigh. The pressure wasn’t enough to build you up to anything ground breaking, but just having him there, looking up at you like he was begging for approval did enough. It built an ache between your thighs, watching him so diligently work against you. At some point you wondered if he was doing this for you, or for the sake of being pressed so close against your heat.
He inhaled deeply, pressing his nose deep into your panties.
“Jojo!” You tried closing your thighs, he peeled them back open.
“Please,” he begged. “Let me? The smell of you makes me so..” The embarrassment clung to his throat, cutting his sentence short.
“Hard?” You offer teasingly, dragging your heel up and down his back in a languid way that sent shivers down his spine.
His jaw works. “Yeah.” He breathes.
Instead of going back to what he was doing before, inhaling you through the cotton fabric of your underwear alone. Josuke peels them to the side and just stares at what’s exposed to him, swallowing thickly. You were glistening, folds taking on this shine from the weeping arousal seeping from your hole.
The longer he stared, the more you were getting anxious. “Why are you staring?”
“You just have a really pretty pussy.”
Embarrassment flared bright and hot in your chest. “Jojo! You can’t just say that.”
His eyes flicked up to your face like he couldn’t understand why. “But it’s true?”
You sighed, hands shielding your face to hide just how mortified you became. “Can you just, not compliment my genitals?”
He grinned sheepishly. “Sorry babe, couldn’t help it.”
Before you could say anything in response, he dipped his head forward and licked a fat stripe from your hole alll the way up to your clit. Your hips jerked and you let out a surprised moan.
it was relentless from there.
His fervent tongue pushed and swirled in ways that had your head spinning and your back bending off the back of the booth. Josuke fumbled a bit in his movements in the beginning, but he had the passion of a man ravaged to make up for it.
Learning quickly, adapting to your noises so he knew just where made you moan the loudest. He was hungry, desperate, clinging to you like you’d just suddenly decide he wasn’t good enough.
You tried to keep quiet, to remember where you were. You were in the library, somewhere that anyone could walk in and hear the nasty noises that echoed in the space that was meant for harmless reading and stress induced studying.
Josuke sucked your clit. Hard.
“Ah!”
Your eyes squeezed shut, trying so hard not to be as loud as you wanted to be by biting down on the neckline of your shirt.
Josuke locked eyes with you from between your legs, hands on your hips and something dangerously like amusement swirling behind his eyes. He detaches from your sloppy pussy with a wet, lewd pop. “Do you know how pretty you look from here?” He circles your clit once, making your hips twitch. “Cant believe I get to have such a pretty woman unravel on my tongue like this.” His voice grew breathier as he spoke, like thinking about it was enough to get him going.
You couldn’t form the words to respond, not when he dived back in again to swallow you whole. His tongue prodded at your slit, sliding in and curling just the way that makes your head spin. The effort to be quiet was futile. Moans slipped out, soft, whiny things that did more to josuke than he wanted to admit.
He mumbled something between your folds, eyes shut like your pleasure was his.
You felt him slide one of your legs from his shoulder. You didn’t question it, couldn’t when his tongue circled your clit, but you felt it before you could register it. The firm press of something throbbing and the repetitive rocking against your leg.
“Josuke?” You whined.
“Shh,” he moaned. “I’ve got you baby, I just… I just need you.” His hips rocked steadily against your leg, pressing his aching bulge into something to give him friction.
Diving back in, he slurped you up for all that you were worth. Making you forget about his own desperation. Bringing that tumbling sensation high and higher with every slurp and suck. He could tell that you were close just by the way your thighs started to shake and how tight you were gripping his hair.
“Don’t stop.” You begged, rocking your hips against his face. He mumbled something between your thighs, sending vibrations skittering up your spine. “Oh.”
He whined messily into your pussy, grinding his hips faster into your leg as he works you up to release. It came in slow, burning waves. The impatience of your orgasm rolling through made you desperate. The wet sounds of your pussy grinding against his face, soaking him in your arousal like it would rather be nowhere else.
Reaching his hand up, he thumbed your clit.
You think that’s when the stars exploded behind your vision. Burning hot pleasure raging behind your ribcage, stealing your breath and leaving you with nothing but the feel of him. Josuke didn’t stop. His tongue worked languid circles around your clit, dipped lower to clean up the mess you made, happily swallowed it down like it was the best thing he’s ever tasted.
“Jo..” your hips jerked.
He gave one final, appreciative suck before detaching.
You looked down in a haze. The glisten to his lower face, the pure bliss in his eyes. The way his fingers curled into your skin like he wanted to pull you back in again. He was not finished with you.
He got out from under the desk and your eyes immediately found the wet patch between his legs. You smirked. He looked away, embarrassed.
“Don’t say anything.”
“Who said I was?”
He pushed you back against the booth, climbing on top of you with a look. “I know you.”
you giggled under your breath, preening when he started to layer kisses along your neck, down your clothed chest. You both knew it was too risky to go fully nude, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t appreciate what was in front of him.
Josuke slid your shirt up just under your breasts, kissing the soft skin exposed. He drowned in the smell of you, in the way your hips shifted as that fire relights, or how your breath comes out a bit shaky when he trails along the sensitive skin of your hips.
“Can I have you?”
“Of course.”
You don’t remember how or when you got into the position you were in. Bent over the study desk, breasts pressed against the cold wood, and your ass on full display. Your underwear had been pulled down your legs a moment ago, and Josuke was lining up a condom over his aching length.
The elastic snaps into place, making him wince.
“You okay back there?” You stretch your arms in front of you, arching your back into a relaxing stretch.
You hear the hitch in his breath. “Yeah. Fine. I’m great.”
His hand slides over the roundness of your ass, spreading the fat to look down at your still glistening hole. He mutters something under his breath, something you can’t fully comprehend.
The bulbous head of his cock lined up. It’s slow when he sinks in, like he was afraid to move too fast and hurt you in the process. Whenever your breath caught in your throat, he stopped. Waited for the go ahead, before continuing. Josuke was gentle when he rubbed over your hips, sinking in, and in, and in, until his balls were pressed snuggly under the curve of your ass.
For a moment you just stayed in that position, breaths ragged, adjusting to the feel of each other, relishing in the closeness.
“Josuke..”
“I know.” He murmured.
His hips set a gentle pace, sliding all the way back out before rocking back in. It was gentle, sweet in the way candy rots. Enough to set a pace you could match after the orgasm he just gave you. His arms wrapped around your waist, pulled you flush against his chest, cradled you like you’d were breakable.
“Wow, you feel so good.”
You should not be laughing with his cock buried so deep inside, but you couldn’t help it. He sounded astonished, blessed in a way.
Then you started to breathe a little bit harder, and he couldn’t help how his hips started to thrust a bit faster. Just to hear you make those noises again.
He wasn’t any better.
He whined like sin incarnate. Mouth pressed against your ear, leaving sloppy, sweet kisses and grunting in the way he knew you liked. Your head was dizzy. His hips slapped against your ass, stretching you full, hitting the spot inside you that made you see stars.
You gripped the table for stability.
“god, so good. So good. Such a good girl.” He whined pathetically, balls slapping against skin, the sound of your arousal slick and wet. “Feels so good.” He was rambling, unintelligible and needy.
Your free hand gripped the one he held pressed against your stomach. He immediately interlocked fingers with you. Slamming harder into your wet heat, chasing the heat that burned low and simmered beneath the surface.
“so close,” you groaned, pressing back into his thrusts. The slap of skin echoed, burying deep within the pages of books and spines so old they started to crack.
The thought of studying had been lost in translation of intimacy and need. Pages discarded, material left open and blankly staring into space.
Your groans filled the aching stillness. Breaking through the silent, universal rule to never be too loud in libraries. But you were never good at staying silent, and neither was Josuke.
A hand gripped the fat of your hip, slamming you back down on his cock. A choked moan, something scraping. A chair, maybe? You barely registered the chair Josuke had pushed away in favour to press closer to you, breathing down your neck, inhaling the natural musk of your skin like it was a drug worth being ruined by.
All you felt was his hips, the stretch between your legs, and the ache burning hot in your gut. Something coiled tight, and by the way Josuke was breathing harder, you knew he was feeling the same thing.
With a perfectly angled thrust, he hammered into that gummy spot that made you see stars. He used your noises as indicators, felt the way you clenched down on him, and set a relentless, desperate pace. He wanted to feel you just as much as you wanted to feel him.
“come on,” he breathed, shaky, desperate, the need of a man starving. His hand slid down your body, circling your clit. Your moans pitched louder, clenching around him tighter, and you reached back to grapple onto something. “That’s it.”
he was a mess. Hair damp with sweat, cheeks flushed red, eyes teary as he neared his own release. God, you felt too good. So warm, wet, and tight. You squeezed him in, draining him for all he’s worth.
With a keening cry, your orgasm falls messily around you. Hips jerking, mouth parted, breaths falling harshly from your lips. Your hair stuck to your forehead and you felt the tremble in your knuckles from how hard you were gripping the desk.
Josuke’s thrusts got sloppy, messy, but even more desperate. He held onto you tight, burrowing his face into the crook of your neck. Begging for nothing in particular, hips jerkily pumping into you, until he spilled his hot load straight into the rubber wrapped around his cock.
Lazy, firm strokes until you were both whining and barely upright. He groaned deep in his throat, squeezing your hip.
He pulled out with a wet squelch.
“Holy,” he muttered, breathless, caught in a daze of pleasure and delirium. “That felt so good.”
You slapped blindly behind you. It connected with his arm.
A soft laugh leaves him. He wraps himself around you, piling your limp body onto his lap as he took a seat on the booth once more. His hands roamed where your naked skin was exposed. Rubbing your hips, sliding up your waist, raising to brush sweaty strands of hair out of your face.
