so the mom of a friend of mine from high school posted about the protests in the streets in Delmar today and said "where are the drunk drivers when you need them" and then posted later about how she can't bear to see the pictures of hunted deer on fb And it's like Do you not see how weird that is

SHE'S SUCH A FANTASTIC JOURNALIST and I especially love the interesting questions she asks. You never get anyone on there who can push through their pre-planned talks without her actually asking them to justify stuff.

I think the most powerful one recently was when she pulled on an Israeli diplomat after talking to a few people from Gaza, and she asked a bunch of legitimate questions and he kept trying to dodge being like "this is war, war is chaos, etc." and she would be like "but x number of people have died in Gaza and x number of people have died in Israel and you dropped x bombs and they're without food and water and electricity. can you tell me why that's justified?" and he literally said "yeah I know that LOOKS bad..." and damn if that didn't cement in my head where I stood morally.
