so I had the pleasure of working with @squirrelno2 for the ficboard challenge, and after some talk i decided to create this moodboard, with a vague idea and vibe in mind. i had no idea she'd deliver so hard, and so well. i'm screaming with glee and what this fic is going to be because it's absolutely exquiste and i couldn't be more excited to see it out and published

Princess Julie is grieving the loss of her mother, struggling to put on a brave face for her family and country, and estranged from Carrie, who's been sworn to act as her bodyguard since they were both children. One night, she slips away from the castle only to encounter the beautiful fairy queen Flynn, who invites her to stay in the fairy world until her grief hurts less. But Carrie isn't about to let Julie go so quickly, and Flynn has her own reasons for hosting Julie, and soon all three women are caught in a tangled mess of lies, pining, and betrayal.

And From Chaos Comes Bliss

The first thing Julie and Luke make sure to say, whenever they have these little meetings - bonding sessions, as Julie calls them - is that they absolutely love their partners within an inch of their lives, and that they are totally not actually mad about any of the things they talk about.

Well, Luke prefers to explain it as the Wilson twins just being fucking difficult to deal with, but Julie knows really they just enjoy their weekly meetings to complain and bitch about the little things, and just spend time with each other.

The thought had started on his first night in Hades, sitting on his bed opposite Reggie and Alex, who were practically on top of each other and trading glances that built up a heavy tension in the room, until it had been broken by Willie deciding he needed some time alone. He’d not spent much time around couples, or really in groups of friends, but he was certain that normal friends didn’t look at each other like that, as though there was nothing but Willie’s presence keeping them from colliding into each other

There was just a point, maybe some time near the end of summer, when the sunrise was so much further from the sunset than gave enough time to watch the stars, where Willie realised that laying on his back in a field of flowers he knew by name and look and scent wasn’t the way he wanted to spend eternity

Life is going pretty well for Luke Patterson, captain of the Loz Feliz High School football team. He's got a great team, a great best friend and it's finally his last year of school. Things couldn't be better - except for his grades. He's just not really an academic guy, and he gets by well enough. It's his mom that's the issue. He doesn't really want a tutor, especially not one of the other students, but when he meets Bobby Wilson, tall, smart and incredibly handsome; he thinks it might not actually be all that bad. Luke doesn't expect things to go the way they do, and suddenly he finds himself in a world that's upside down, as he starts to reconsider everything that brought him to where he is now, the edge of an abyss with a life changing decision to make.

this is my fic for the @jatpficboardchallenge (sorry for being so late) i was inspired by the incredible moodboard made by @strugglingatart and i'm really glad i got to write this (or start, at least akshfhsdf) because if it, without the moodboard i never would've thought of a fic like this

The flower garden wasn’t doing anything like Willie hoped, but it was doing about as well as expected.

Which was to say approximately no progress had been made whatsoever.

He’d known when he’d started that this was going to be by far the biggest task they’d ever untaken in the centuries they’d been alive, but it was still somewhat… disheartening, that it wasn’t turning out like they’d wanted it to.

At least the rivers seemed happy to keep him company.

Wlw ot3 princesses is an au where Julie is a princess, sunset curve are her advisors, and flynn and Carrie are noblewomen of similar standing to her, and basically it’s just the chaos of Julie and sunset curve trying to prepare for ascension to the throne knowing she needs to marry before she does because her kingdom believes marriage = stupidity, while she can’t choose between flynn and Carrie, who basically symbolise happiness and power, and sunset curve are obviously like marry both?? You’re the princess you can do whatever you want and the triangle is the strongest shape, and yeah that’s abt it, basically just a lot of going after what you really want vs being responsible for more than just yourself
