Like listen…if Soyona wanted The Handler’s undying, unwavering loyalty towards her, why not make The Handler fall in love with her..??? Why not make The Handler so utterly obsessed with her that she wouldnt dare to leave or betray Soyona? She’d do anything Soyona asks, no questions, no hesitation. That would solve the issue of having to have The Handler prove her loyalty because she’d be so emotionally dependent on Soyona, she’d never WANT to leave her. She wouldn’t NEED a contingency for The Handler. She wont have to worry about The Handler doing anything out of pocket because The Handler would be too busy seeking out Soyona’s praise and affection. WHY NOT USE THE HANDLER’S EMOTIONAL VULNERABILITY AGAINST HER TO HAVE HER DO SOYONA’S BIDDING 99% OF THE TIME⁉️ The outcome? More positive results when it comes to assignments Soyona gives The Handler, stronger bonds, stronger connection, less risk, the raptors will also start to gravitate towards Soyona more, making The Handler’s chances of using them against her drop. It probably won’t benefit The Handler in any way because of how toxic this dynamic would be, but for Soyona? BENEFITS AT EVERY CORNER.

Not a kenrius shipper but i am very much with you. This fandom is verryyy over attached to its first three popular ships (yasammy, benji, dinostar) witj the exception of my pookies benrius, but shipping culture is not about strict canon adherence. Its about having fun. I hear it used to be way more lax in the past but now people will literally come after otjers for who they ship? Even if its objectively uncontroversial? Like its not that deep?

I am a brokerlynn defender in spite of the controversial age gap. For some reason, brokerlynn is treated with less disgust that kenrius? Not saying there should be any disgust at all but its like, the problematic age gap ship with a trafficker super villain is okay but not the other one because two guys who arent related called each other brothers a few times? I feel like modern fandom culture really overuses incest allegations to attach disgust to ships they dont like!! I see it with dinostar sometimes. People are like “nooo they have such sibling vibes!”
Addressing the Kenrius allegations:
1. The brother stuff is overblown. They arent actually related
2. They did not grow up together and kenji spent a few years livinh with D’s family at the most. You cant tell me D and Kenj have a canon friendship that is significantly different from Ben & Kenji or Ben & Darius. If anything, they are just canonically “closer” or have spent the most time together considering the whole living together thing.
3. People take the brother thing too literal. Men call their friends brothers all the times. Im AFAB and i sometimes refer to my female friends as “sister” or my male friends as “brother.” Do i actually feel the same way about them that i do my actual brother and sister? NO!!
4. Sometimes, people can be in denial of their feelings. My first boyfriend was someone i had known since the 5th grade and was friends with since middle school. I too said “nahhh i dont like him. Hes like a brother to me!!” Spoiler: we ended up dating for a year. Sometimes, when we have feelings that we dont know what to do with or are sfraid of, we try to overcorrect and go to the other extreme to dismiss any possibility of said feelings.
Im not saying everyone who refers to their friends as analogous to siblings are secretly harboring romantic feelings for them. Im just demonstrating that it is a possibility.
5. The brotjer thing can be comphet. Many people are quick to say bengia can be comphet which is a valid interpretation , but that can apply to kenrius too!!

we as a fandom need to be more comfortable discussing disability - not just Brooklynn's limb difference, but the fact Yaz's ankle is almost certainly prone to pain/dislocations/subluxations/instability (and all the other joints she ran on when they were injured), Ben's anxiety and paranoia, Ben possibly having shoulder and wrist issues from the pteranodons carrying him away in jwcc (his wood armour could be like a wrist brace), Kenji being very casual about a dislocated shoulder (implying he dislocates them regularly, which could be disabling), and more!! this disabled person is telling you to be comfortable giving your characters physical and mental disabilities, talking about them, learning about them - it'll vastly improve our understanding of the world and make us more tolerant people!

Sammy's crashout in season 3 was warranted, and I think people hate her too much for it. She's the potentially dangerous character who has hit her limit. She's angry and hurt and not going about things logically. She's bottled up too much and that's going to be important to her arc in season 4.
I am SO WITH YOU. Glad other people agree because i saw that most people were takingn Yaz’s side when the season first came out and blamed the breakup on sammy being “unreasonable.” (“Cant she see brooklyns undercover? They have to HELP her!”)
Its like yeah, brooke is undercover but previously , she had been giving campfam every signal that she wanted to backoff and be left alone. Sammy is someone who feels things very deeply. To realize someone she grieved deeply and painfully faked her death is gonna be HARD!
Plus, samy has already delt with a lot of ppl leaving her (her family.) i dont blame her for being hesitant to chase after brooklyn or simply accept her back like nothing changed. And it was less the fact that Yaz disagreed than it was that she was acting as if Sammy’s POV was irrational and invalid. Her being hesitant to trust at first IS realistic i feel. Its funny because in camp Cretaceous, i bet all of us would bet this scenario was flipped between the girls. (Yas hesitant to trust, sammy desperate to forgive)
If Soyona was a guy, people would have extreme distaste for Soyolynn as a ship because age-gap relationships and pedophilia in general are unfortunately pretty normalized within lgbtqia media. Had Soyona been a male character, the people who do ship Soyolynn would most likely hate it and refer to the ship as weird, and “jokingly” frame Soyona as someone who “likes little girls”, but because she’s a woman, that for some reason means someone who’s barely 19 is perfectly eligible to date someone pushing 40 all because it’s a ship between a woman and another woman. The only defense people have for Soyolynn is “It’s legal”, but what people tend to forget is legality≠morality. Brooklynn is barely 19, and biologically is still a teenager. The concept of her being with Soyona who is way older than her, has a fully formed prefrontal cortex, canonically knew about Brooklynn since Brooklynn was 13, AND refers to Brooklynn as a child/little girl is not only weird in a sense, but is also predatory.

I don't get why people make fun of the N6's plot armor or just main characters in JP/JW in general. I kinda like that we haven't had a bunch of character deaths for the sake of being dramatic or "realistic." I like that Jurassic is a fun low-stakes movie or show series where I can enjoy all the characters without having to panic over my favs dying (yet, looking at you Ben). Sometimes you just want to sit back and enjoy something without Walking Dead-level character body count.
I agree, i dont wanna see any of our MCs die. But sometimes, the plot armor just feels ridiculous. An example is in CT s2 campfam on the river manage to js pure outrun the dinos they encounter. There is no clever outsmarting or dino nerd informed trickery. They just…run. And escape. I could totally believe their harrowing experience on the island gave them the skills to survive dozens of deathly dino encounters , but i wish the show would make the effort to play into that!
