Thoughts on re-watching Rogue One right after Andor, in no particular order
I was forever losing my patience with Jyn and her delivering speeches to the Rebel Alliance about what the right thing to do is. Ma'am you just showed up, people here have invested years building the kind of base you see now
Cassian telling Jyn that those in the rebellion have given their whole lives for it, yeah you tell her king
Melshi you cutie patootie
Very much here for the ongoing theme of imperial officers dying by the weapon of their creation (talking here about Krennic, lifting off from this post by @peachandpinwheel)
The looming presence of the Death Star for the audience who know what's coming and the build-up within in the narrative is brilliant. The slow hints from Andor season 1 finale to everything peppered through season 2 to the Death Star being there where Cassian, Jyn, Bodhi and others escape Jedda in the knick of time? chef's kiss
What both Andor and Rogue One put in perspective is the years and the work it takes to build any kind of resistance movement, but also ultimately how quickly a tyrannical order unravels and falls like a house of cards. Nemik was right, the frontier of the rebellion is always expanding
