BollyTrek
Okay continuing on from the Trek characters in Bollywood posts (explanations on the bottom)
CW for mentions of killing I guess
Karz: T’pring is Kamini, Spock is Ravi Verma, Mirror Spock is Monty, Khan is Sarjooda, Uhura is Tina (could probably make it Leila but I hate her too much to put her in this)
Badhaai Do (second half because we don’t talk about Kabir): Uhura is Suman, Kirk is Shardul, Christine is Rimjhim, Spock is Guru, Bones is the doctor guy (okay they’re not alike they’re just both doctors and it’d be funny), Janice is Naaznin.
Happy New Year: Kirk is Charlie (no one say the thingI swear-), Spock is Jag, Scotty is Tammy, Chekov is Rohan, Janice is Mohini. It’d be funny if Khan was the villain again (idk if I’m biased because I just watched space seed and am slightly mad we missed a chance for south asian rep)
I’d love Three Idiots with McSpirk but it wouldn’t be accurate 😭
Explanations:
Karz is a movie about a guy whose wife kills him for the money and then he gets reincarnated into a pop star falls in love with this cute girl whose uncle is a Bollywood-Muslim (the tried and I love that for them) baddie and gets revenge. T’pring killing Spock for the money just feels right.
Badhaai Do is a movie about two people in a lavender marriage (the reason I didn’t put Spock and T’pring again is because the characters don’t fit). One of thems a cop (in a relationship with a dude way younger than him so we’re gonna ignore that part) and the other is a teacher and then the cop falls in love with this dude and the teacher falls in love with this girl who works at a lab (see it’s perfect).
Happy New Year is a movie about this guy whose dad got murdered so he enters a dance competition with this guy who is half deaf and beats you up if you insult his mom, a guy who has everything but money is his bag, a hacker kid, and a dance teacher who isn’t in on it at first but eventually is and they win the hearts of everyone. Kirk is slightly less aggressive in non hostile situations but it’d still fit I feel.
Three Idiots is about these engineering students and the pressure of education. Kirk is free spirited so is vaguely like Rancho (the main guy who is like the quirky super smart one) but otherwise it wouldn’t work.
Anyone else have any Bollywood movies or heck, any movies from their culture that would fit Trek?
(I did TOS because I know it but yall can do the others too. There’s a Taare Zameen Par in there somewhere)
Made this a couple of weeks ago but forgot to post it so here you go some wee little fae
"kab tak chalega aise, ab bade ho rahe hai hum, aur yeh sab bachpana, band karna padega"
dear aditi from yjhd,
i understand and feel you completely today. you have always been my favourite among everyone. you knew it all, you accepted it and told bunny to not give up on his dreams, yet felt everything deep down. i sense something, today, the end.
this separation, from people i've known since childhood, my room, my neighbourhood, the air that surrounds me, seems to be fading away, every moment. my shoulders feel lighter, detached of something i don't want to let go. it's not like everyone is leaving today, but the realization that stabs me in the back drive these sudden waves of sadness through me.
they say this feeling is beautiful, you let go of things only to keep sweet memories to cherish forever. but is it okay that i feel terror in my heart, a fear of losing myself, this place, and an unwillingness to face what's next?
i have not had enough of it yet, there is so much more left, so many memories left to make, songs to be sung together, and late night conversations. i miss everything already.
i am so scared. growing up isn't beautiful after all.
i wish it could stay a little longer. just a little.
ban liya apna paighambar, tar liya tu saat samandar, phir bhi sukha man ke andar kyun reh gaya?
kabira, yeh jawani hai deewani
कैसी तेरी खुदगर्ज़ी ?
लब न नमक रमे न मिसरी?
कैसी तेरी खुदगर्ज़ी ?
तुझे प्रीत पुरानी बिसरी।
Idc being judged but SOME BOLLYWOOD ROMANTIC AND SAD SONGS ARE A WHOLE DIFFERENT VIBE AND CAN LISTEN TO THEM WHOLE DAY
ban liya apna paigambar, tar liya tu saath samundar. fir bhi sukha mann ke andar kyu reh gaya? will forever hit hard when you think of how bunny never wanted "dal chawal for 50 saal". he never wanted commitment. he wanted to be free, he wanted to travel the world, and he did. he travelled overseas, he had his own show and he got successful all on his own. but even after achieving all that he could, there was a part of him which was empty, a part which longed for the friendships he left behind, the family he left behind, and the love he left behind.
so, at the end of the day, for him, it was always avi, aditi and naina. because after all, kuch logo ke saath waqt bitane se hi sab kuch thik ho jaata hai.
