“But, at the same time…would you not want the dead to return? At least.. certain people?”

Why was Kagami lurking? Itachi found himself wondering this for the second time this week, as he and Shisui parted ways. And as he walked back to his home, Kagami, naturally, was going the same way. Itachi didn't know if the younger Uchiha just coincidentally happened to be at the same place at the same time, or if Kagami was being sent by their father to spy on them because he suspected something.

Either way, it was irritating. "Kagami-san," Itachi called. "What are you doing?" A very vague question, for someone seeming to mind his own business walking alongside the river. But still, Itachi asked it. // @kagami--uchiha

Void. There was nothing that resonated to these words than an aching emptiness inside of him. And of all the things, he didn't ever want her to see him like this, so-.. Oh for the love of amaterasu, she wouldn't even care!

"Nothing has gotten into me." He snapped back, sort of regretting the way he spoke but it was almost instincive. Little did she know that it was directed against her, but he was sad, angry, broken.. Little bits of pieces that scream for help from the inside yet all he could let out... was distancing himself from those that really care about him.

It has gotten more and more obvious that something was wrong with him, that there was something bubbling under the surface that just needs someone to to hold out their hand, pull him up and help him out. Sakura and him had always been close, pretty much so... But right now-... he was scared what she would think if she knew the truth.

It is hard knowing which part of this whole thing hurts more -- is it his words or the unexplainable coldness emanating his persona? Not that identifying which of the two will make the pain go away. Only she hoped, in doing so, she can understand what ( or why ) Kagami is acting this way.

Not that she is demanding him to pour his heart out to her. It’s true, she cares for him in ways that can easily be perceived as anything but romantic. But even so, putting the whole thing aside, it is hard seeing him in this hardened ( and indifferent ) state. The shadow of the man she knows gone without a trace.

“ I know you are lying, Kagami. Not just to me but to yourself in saying that there is nothing going on with you, “ she is hurt by the way he brushes her off, thinking the nonchalance in his response enough to keep her away from prodding ( worrying ) more. If anything, his words ( and tone ) only set alarm bells blaring inside her head, urging her to ask, to remain by his side, to patiently wait until he is ready.

Releasing a burdened sigh, eyes cast up unto the heavens as if waiting for a sign on what to do ( or say ) to comfort him, “ Look, Kagami, “ Sakura gently approaches the Uchiha, taking the empty spot beside him to take a seat, “ I can probably guess why you are pushing me away. But I don’t want to make any assumptions about this -- so I will wait until you are ready. If I can ask you for one thing, please, do not think nobody will ever understand or care to listen. Because I will. I will always be. “

Gods, this brat was getting more insufferable by the day. Something about that Senju bastard’s influence was starting to take its toll, he was sure of it. How else could it be explained? Unruliness, a seeming flaunting of their mores, and that was just the beginning. 

“You, brat. What nonsense has that bastard been stuffing your head in with now, eh?”

Being a little lost in thoughts, none of his usually sharp Shinobi senses were tingling when Fuso approached, though as soon as her lips meet his, she had his whole attention. There was a soft and happy smile and he quickly grabbed her by the wrist to pull her back and seal their lips into a longer, loving kiss.

Lazily did the Uzumaki pull closer to the Uchiha as she laughed softly and nuzzled his cheek once their kiss broke apart, looping her arms around his neck. Being the same height had some advantages, after all. “Ya look cute like that, Kaga. Kinda missed ya, yeah?” she greeted with a crooked smile, touching their brows.

"Happy Birthday Hashirama-Sama!" Kagamis nearly sing songed as he came into the office, giggling while doing so. "I wasn't really sure what could be really useful to you .. so i got you an expensive bottle of sake and a Bonsai toolkit! Oh and a little cake!"

Putting the cake plus the two little boxes containing the gifts on the the Hokage's table, he smiled at him happily. "If.. any of it isn't to your liking feel free to tell me! I'll try to find something else then!"

Hashirama looks at the gift. “You are so kind, Kagami. I can’t believe you remembered. Did Tobirama sent you to make me feel special? It does sound like him,” he says, looking at the gifts, close to crying. 

“I like all gifts, are you kidding? I always cry when I’m receiving them. It’s very unfortunate, especially on my birthday,” he takes a deep breath to contain himself.
