Look, this ship is based mostly on the fact that Kaminari has been caught multiple times petting Ojiro's tail (even when he is changing form his hero costume), and he seems so unbothered about it that it makes sense that this is just normal behavior for them. Which implies that they are very close…  

In general I think that they would make a great couple because they complement each other in a lot of ways, like in loud vs quiet or airhead vs levelhead… You get the gist!! 

PS: To be honest it's the gay version of Ojitoru and let me tell you that I think it's perfect <3

opposites attract, calm x storm, bakugo needs some zen and ojiro needs some (structured–bakugo is a man of routine after all) chaos. both very proud, ambitious, and determined. they both value hard work and strength. they get along from their minimal interactions in canon; ojiro feels comfortable enough with him to hold him back and try to calm him down while he’s actively pissed off. their personalities are fun to play off each other, brash and aggressive vs reserved and kind. i know they’re a rare pair but they give me such brainworms. they fascinate me. bugs under my microscope

um. this one really got away from me. kamioji + ojiro being a pining mess for you <3

"Can I play with your hair?" Kaminari asks, clasping and unclasping his hands in his lap. Mashirao feels his lips curl into a smile at the sight—he's more than used to Kaminari's habit of playing with the hair on his tail by now. He swings his tail into Kaminari's lap without a second thought.

He found it weird at first, admittedly and he knows some others did too but now, their classmates in the common area don't even bat an eye and Mashirao recognizes it for what it is too: a way for Kaminari to ease his pent up energy. He can't say he doesn't find it nice but it doesn't mean anything. Not to Kaminari, anyway.

So, he tries not to overthink it when Kaminari pouts and instead of burying his fingers into the hair on his tail, he turns to Mashirao and says, "That's not what I meant."

Mashirao furrows his eyebrows and wrecks his brain for whatever else Kaminari could've meant and his mind keeps circling back to a thought but surely not—

Kaminari pats his thigh and sends him a blinding smile and Mashirao's heart skips a beat. Instead of any normal reaction, he keeps staring at the other and curls his toes in his socks.

"Come on," he whines, reaching towards Mashirao's head—no, his hair with grabby hands. "Please?"

Mashirao thinks that no one in their right mind could say no to that, so he nods then swallows and stares at Kaminari's lap, his thighs before swallowing again.

This boy is going to kill him.

He's just touchy and friendly with everyone, he tells himself as he closes his eyes and lays down on his side, with his head against the side of Kaminari's right thigh.

Nothing happens for a few excrutiating seconds but then Kaminari's fingers slip into his hair and Mashirao's breath hitches, feeling his toes curl against his calf.

"It's so soft," Kaminari whispers and Mashirao feels all his defenses crumble and sighs as Kaminari pulls his hand out of his hair and instead holds a lock between his fingers and smooths down the rest.

He keeps gently carving his fingers through the strands, sweeping his baby hair from his forehead waiting for it to fall back before sweeping it again. It breaks a giggle out of him and the sound is like music to Mashirao's ears.

"What do you use on it?" Kaminari asks and his voice is so low, like he's afraid to break the moment too but Mashirao can't be thinking about that because surely, for Kaminari this can't be nothing else but another way to keep his hands busy.

"Just shampoo," Mashirao shrugs and he feels Kaminari's thigh press into his shoulder at the movement.

"Please tell me it's not a 3in1," Kaminari asks, nearly begging and Mashirao wants to fulfill his wish but, well.

"Um," he stammers and Kaminari sighs, cutting him off before he could start to explain himself.

"Of course, it is. You get your hair this soft with just a 3in1 while I use ten thousand products and it's still dry as heck. Life's unfair," he whines and despite his tone, his hand is still gently carving through Mashirao's hair and Mashirao's not sure how long he can continue doing this.

"I'm sure your hair's soft too," he murmurs and Kaminari hums. Before Mashirao knows it, he feels something, or well, someone press against his back and he feels Kaminari's head in front of his, so he opens his eyes and then he sort of wishes he didn't. He's so close.

"Wanna try?"

"I—"

"Aw, don't be shy," Kaminari smiles and it draws Mashirao's attention to his lips. He swallows again before raising his hand and touching the end of Kaminari's hair.

"It's soft," he confirms and it's only sort of a lie.

"Liar," Kaminari sings, moving impossibly closer with his face. Their noses are so close to touching, the tip of Mashirao's tingles. "You're really cute, Ojiro."

Mashirao feels his face light up on fire and he almost jolts back in reflex but, Kaminari's places his hand on his cheek, keeping him there.

He feels like he's going insane. He also feels like he needs to get up and run before he does something stupid and reckless.

"Mina was right," he murmurs, almost to himself. "You really do like me, don't you?"

Mashirao panics. "I—"

"It's okay," Kaminari shakes his head, smiling widely. "I like you too."

It's a surprise, in a way but it also isn't. Instead of dwelling on it too much, Mashirao leans just a a bit forward and presses his lips to Kaminari's softly, almost tentatively.

Kaminari sits them up properly and then he's kissing him again and Mashirao finds that he plays with his hair just as gently while kissing too. Or, at least, that's how he kisses Mashirao.

(They get booed off the couch and sent off to Kaminari's room after what feels like only seconds. Hagakure sends a thumbs up his way as they go, though so he decides, she can't be too mad. He promises himself to make it up to her after he gets tired of kissing Kaminari.)

(The problem is that he doesn't think he'll ever get tired of kissing Kaminari.)

figuring out the best way to sleep was a struggle

Ojirou needs to be on the edge bc of his tail, Bakugo doesnt like being in between people unless he's comfortable with them, and Kaminari moves a bit too much in his sleep for everyone to be comfortable with him in the middle

so to solve this? they slept in the most bizarre ways possible

sometimes Ojirou would sleep curled up in his tail near the foot of the bed

Kaminari would somehow fall asleep partially stuck between the bed and the wall

it was super awkward for Bakugo to wake up and find Kaminari hanging off the bed, Ojirou with his ass pretty much in the air bc hes laying on top of his tail, and the blanket literally no where to be seen

so final solution? speed run getting comfortable enough to sleep between them

it really didnt take that long

they went from falling off the bed almost every night to comfortable hushed whispers in the morning before starting their respective routines to get ready

out of the three, Kaminari is the one who will be too nervous to say smth if his order gets fucked

so cue Ojirou very calmly but assertively taking care of it with Bakugo glaring in the background

Ojirou has a slight obsession with fnf so he's never allowed to pick the music during study dates
