Ruth I've only heard considered to be conveying historical events, and Job is debated but the primary view, both Jewish and Christian, is that there is a historical man who was named Job and suffered calamities yet maintained faith, even if the book is poetry.
There are some books which are commonly believed to be works of fiction; the Book of Tobit follows the conventions of contemporary Hebrew fiction, and explicitly states Tobit and Tobias are cousins of mythological figures. In addition to Tobit, the Book of Jonah uses a lot of the devices of Hebrew comedic works, and unlike the other minor prophets is focused pretty much solely on Jonah's own actions instead of the message he was supposed to deliver from God. There was probably *a* prophet Jonah, but the book is not necessarily about him.
As you said though, the important thing is the meaning and moral significance of the works; not that they happened, but what they're supposed to teach us.
Thank you so much for your reply!
Merry Christmas to all y'all!

Are the monkeys from Bloons Tower Defense furbait?
Sure. Longtime followers of the blog know that it’s hard to give a simian a furbait ruling, but this one passes into a stylization that anthropomorphizes the character enough to make it not as if it is just a monkey that has the ability to speak.
Folks have a bad tendency of thinking any big animal that isn't a cat is simply a dog writ large. Anything bigger than you or faster than you can almost certainly kill you, and just because something is neither doesn't mean it can't kill you anyways. Animals aren't jokes, and it took thousands of years to make our modern pets, pets. Heck, for cats and ferrets it's very much still a work in progress!
Basically, Disney lied to people when he animated scenes of “our woodland friends.” Animals are built for survival first and foremost, so you need to take a lot of caution if you’re going to approach them. Even rabbits and squirrels can inflict a nasty injury if they feel threatened enough. Also, yeah cats and ferrets aren’t as domesticated as dogs yet. They’re not too terribly far off, but whereas a feral dog very well may not hurt you a feral cat almost definitely will.
As far as I've found, mangadex(.)com has the most complete scans for Beastars.
Cool! Thanks, I’ll check it out :)
Hey, are you doing okay? Just checking in; it's been a bit since you posted last and I wanna make sure you're alright.
Hi, thank you for checking in! Monster Friends is slow going until my exams finish mid-November. For now, I’m working on story and worldbuilding for the future!
