i was actually just talking to @kaaaaaaarf about this the other day, bc i personally cannot see remus dancing on a table in any universe, but i def still need him to do something stupid.

she suggested i have remus throw himself in a pool, and that’s genius so it’s what i’m going with!

one thing i am still stuck on is what the hell to title this fic, bc i don’t just want to use the movie title.

hello lovely toothpaste! if no one else has asked, I'd love to hear about love n longing at the edge of the world!

HELLO LOVELY KARFY WARFY !!! hehe i'm so glad you asked about this one; it is particularly near n dear to my heart .. sometimes i get very tired of trying to squeeze my mind into the brain of a british man, and decided it could be a bit of fun to write what i actually know for once :o))) so !!! this is a muggle au set in nz and it follows each of the 4 main laddos throughout their final year of uni

remus is the deeply strange spawn of hippies who walks on stilts, plays the trombone, and has a thing for ugly vests. he subsists mainly off of soup and broke up with tonks just before the events of the main story <33 (this r is so special to me i could talk about him for hours .. my fav freak fr...)

sirius is a fine arts student n in a band (of the post-punk persuasion), and his plot line largely revolves around identity: he's māori but was adopted by pākehā (who he is now estranged from), and it will follow his journey of learning abt his ancestry and reclaiming his culture and language (this particular plotline is extremelyyy dear 2 me ..) (also fun fact takurua is the te reo name for the dog star and was instrumental in early māori sea faring !! in this fic takurua is sirius's birth name, which was anglicised when he was adopted)

peter is thoroughly stuck in a rut;; he's doing a degree he hates and feels like his friends' lives are moving on and he's just stuck in the same place waiting to catch up . enter fabian, a chaotic party boy who studies art with sirius (they hate each other lol), who helps peter to come out of his shell and forge his own identity ;; but where peter is discovering himself n falling in love, fabian is self-destructing ...

JAMES works at a supermarket <3 he dropped out of med school after having a nervous breakdown and is currently taking a gap year ;; he texts the wrong number one night (he tried to buy a fish tank off facebook marketplace and got scammed Lol ;; they gave him what they thought was a fake number !) n becomes deeply obsessed w the snarky recipient of his texts (wonder who....!)

so yes... messy early 20's shenanigans !! wolfstar friends w benefits nonsense !! ft many gigs and pints and late night jazz and remus getting chased by sea lions <3

Question I must know: how do you take your coffee and/or tea? ☕

KARFY HI<3 I'm definitely more of a tea person. My go to is wild thyme tea with a spoon of honey in it. Honestly I really enjoy most herbal teas except for chamomile and mint. I don't really drink caffeine anymore though, because it's horrible for my anxiety, but I do like the taste of it so I splurge on a decaf cafe au lait every now and then!!

thank u for tagging me in this, @kaaaaaaarf!! i actually do have a shitty old car that the bluetooth barely works in, so i can give y’all 7 CDs i actually have in my car right now!

1. digital ash in a digital urn - bright eyes // my all-time fave bright eyes album, this is what i put on when i have a long drive and really need to play something beginning to end. when i was in high school i put the CD booklet inside the clear cover of my binder and thought i was very cool 😌

2. rumors - fleetwood mac // i feel like this one is self-explanatory. everyone on earth who drives a car should have this on deck.

3. deja entendu - brand new // perhaps the most perfect emo album of all time, in heavy rotation in the summer when i have all the windows down but also perfect for driving at night all year long.

4. this desert life - counting crows // my hot take is that this is their best album, but that’s probably the nostalgia talking. perfect background noise if i’ve got friends in the car and we’re yapping.

5. gold - ABBA // this is the best album to play after leaving the bar/club, or when i need a pick-me-up after a really long day.

6. lonely runs both ways - alison krauss // a lot of y’all will be surprised to know how much i love country music and bluegrass, but most of my car CDs fall somewhere adjacent to those genres. a comfort listen <3

7. hot fuss - the killers // a truly perfect album, and a universal crowd pleaser to both anyone in my car and to drivers around me when i have the windows down. great for singing along as loud as possible!

they’re making dinner together! remus is chopping veggies and sirius is attempting to make rice and there is a frozen pizza on deck just in case.

probs listening to bright eyes, wearing each other’s t-shirts. remus is gonna make hot chocolate from scratch later bc sirius has only ever had the lil packets :’)
