Actually really fucking sick of people trying to tell us that fictive memories/exomemories(+the trauma) aren't real. Do you know how fucking difficult it is for Midas? How scared he gets seeing a military uniform? He's never been to war but because of me and a few others, those shared memories, he's terrified. I remember when a gun was first put in my hands, because Midas was there too, granted it was a lot scarier for him because he was a child and I was an adult. I remember the lies and the bullshit my commanding officers fed me constantly, the conspiracy theories, and those same things happened to Midas with someone they trusted. We share these memories because they HAPPENED TO US. TOGETHER.
