Do good anyway
Today's post is a quick poem that Jaime Lyn Beatty posted on the Glow* website (check it out here!) I refer to it as the "Do good anyway" poem because I thought it was the overall message. I really love this whole poem though. I think it is just so inspirational and has DEFINITELY helped me these last couple weeks. Especially the lines "Forgive them anyway, "Succeed anyway," and "Build anyway." Build anyway was really eye opening for me because I know that I have always tried to be as safe with myself as possible. I never did anything that made me vulnerable or put myself in a situation where I might be sensitive, even if it was good for me! Anyways, interpret and analyze this poem as you wish my dearies! I hope it affects you as much as it did, I!
People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives. Do good anyway. If you are successful, you win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway. Give the world the best you have and it my never be enough. Give the world the best you have anyway. -Keith Kent

Today I challenge you to be ruthlessly generous and compassionate...to others and to yourself. What would you accomplish if you had no fear of judgement? With ruthless affection, Jaime Lyn
