Alright, guys, it’s time.
It’s time for me to no longer get by on lazy keto with minimal effort. I’ve given it 40 days of eating keto (without counting calories/macros), walking and lifting and have only managed to lose 3lbs. Unfortunately, I’ve learned that I’m only able to consistently lose weight when I go hard and strict so let’s give that a shot and see how it goes. Today it starts.
I’ll be eating small keto meals throughout the day with no take-out for an entire week to see what one week of solid effort will do. I’ll do my best to track calories/macros but am not holding myself to that since I typically suck at keeping up with it.
I expect a typical day will go like this:
Breakfast: 3 eggs with coffee and 1/2 tbsp heavy cream
Lunch: Keto Chow shake
Snack: Keto Chow pudding (thanks to the ever creative @zerocarb who knows how to manipulate KC better than anyone ever)
Dinner: Something sensible and small, protein based.
I’ll be keeping up with my walking/lifting but will primarily be focused on my intake this week. I’ll also be making sure my water intake is above 64oz a day.
Here we go :)
Don’t let the Keto Chow image fool you, I’m not a fan of the Raspberry Cheesecake flavor but Kevin is. This is simply the only bag I didn’t put away before snapping this picture and wanted a visual representation of what’s in the bottles/bowls.
Like any good diet, the night before you’ve gotta end with a bang and mine was a heaping burrito bowl from Chiptole with all the sour cream, cheese and guac. So so good.
