I am going to lose my entire mind over this show. Just in case y'all were wondering. Like, I am gone. I am consumed. Look at them! Look at that! Poor little rich boy with trauma, poor man who's turned to crime to save his beloved brother, a kidnapping that shows the poor little rich boy what love and family look like... I am doomed by the narrative in the best way possible. @absolutebl GMMTV is gonna GMMTV but hopefully I can have a good time along the way.

So the Be Gay, Suck Blood era of BL has been a big bust so far (if I’m brutally honest), but this new improved Be Gay Do Crimes era (while not as unprecedented as the vampire one) is starting to look like a boom!

ok so i'm finally watching kidnap the series and i'm so confused as to why mhen and jeen just like don't question that q is still there? i thought min introduced him as a stuntman coworker. I'm on episode four and min just told mhen that he would start a new job, but min told them that they together because they were working on a script. maybe i missed something, but do mhen and jeen really just think min is trying to hide a relationship? does that mean that min is always this bad at lying lmao?? like suddenly q lives with them full time, no notice, as a suspiciously homoerotic "coworker" and mhen and jeen are like "okay, sure, this is a normal thing for min to do, let's play monopoly and you can tag along to mhen’s doctor appointments"

(in no particular order because I can't make choices like that)

1. Jack & Joker: U Steal My Heart!

Funny, whimsical, heartbreaking, action packed, brilliantly acted, THE TENSION ....yeah everything up my alley (but you can't convince me to watch the special episodes)

2. Your Sky

The best, most fanfictiony pretend relationship trope I've ever seen. So sweet & fun (but you don't need to watch the special eps 😭)

3. ThamePo

4. All The Liquors

Aside from the terrible kiss that resulted from SO MUCH sexual tension and the questionably pro-alcohol message, I absolutely adored this

5. The Heart Killers

6. My Love Mix Up (Thai)

Is it controversial to say I preferred this to the japanese original 🫣

7. 4Minutes

8. We Are

Controversial in some circles, but this felt like a classic old school BL in the best way to me. I love an ensemble cast.

9. Century of Love

So glad this show put me on to DaouOffroad 😍

10. Wandee Goodday

Had low/no expectations for this and it blew me away.

I loved seeing Ohm in a BL again and it had some great moments and phenomenal acting! Just needed some pacing and storytelling workshopping...

Ossan's Love Returns

Did not need to be made, but I love the Ossans series and this made me laugh (as expected) and did have some interesting story lines

This is the majority of 2024 shows I watched so please put me on to what I missed!!

Especially non-thai because obviously I did not venture outside of Thailand very much last year 🫣

bc I'm kind of in the mood and these are the three that I've been thinking of watching recently. I just finished 4 Minutes like... last week? Week before last? and really enjoyed it, if that gives you any idea of the mood I'm in. (Other Thai BL dramas I've liked recently: The Sign, My Dear Gangster Oppa, and To Sir With Love <3. But those were a bit longer ago.)
