...sorry, how are we defining pop music? :P
Ughhhh thank you all!! This is all great advice that I will hopefully be able to remember. I feel like I will be bright blotchy red, my chest will feel like it's going to explode, my hands will shake, and I will speed-read in a voice so soft only werewolves will be able to hear me. So. Breathe, take it slow, enunciate, PRACTICE! I read Chica Chica Boom Boom to my kids every night with feeling, I can... do this?
I see you as a siren: a beautiful voice and enchanting face that will lure men to their deaths.
FABULOUS that is exactly what Mel said :D
Hey, @freudensteins-monster! You are not alone!
Drunk Assholes: *get off the bus, leaving behind a beer bottle that rolls around until Friend C picks it up*
Friend A: I don't know if I'm more offended by the fact that they left the bottle, the fact that it's fucking PBR, or the fact that there's STILL SOME IN IT.
Friend C: In any case, they're definitely not getting their deposit back.
Anxiety advice for the studio anon: The best advice I have isn't pretty, but it's done wonders for me: accept that you are going to fuck up. Give yourself permission to make mistakes. Know that sometimes you will fail dramatically, probably in public ways no one will let you live down. Let's all take a moment to freak out over how depressing that reality is. But also know that every one of those mistakes is because you were brave enough to try something you weren't already great at so that you
(2/2) could get better. The first time I got on stage after 7 years, I demanded cake as a reward for not passing out or crying. I've sung a wide variety of music across a spectrum of venues, and I have fucked up a lot. Sometimes I forget words, even if they're in front of me. Often I miss my cue or sing the wrong section. Sometimes I sing things with no practice. Once I mutilated a country song as an anniversary request. Now I shrug, smile, and sing even when I want to cry. Fail and try again.

Thank you for this. Freshman Anon, I hope this helps.
Drop-in review for the anon who asked about Big, though I've only used the conditioner. I usually use Trichomania because my curls love it, so I don't need conditioner with it, but when I was in a show and had to wash my hair every damned day for two weeks, I used Big. It was lovely and kept my hair from falling out from all the hairspray and teasing, but I don't use it much with my regular haircare schedule. If your hair has Needs, it's totally worth it.
Helpful review from another reader for you, Big anon!
