Gilbert being a race car driver AUs are great, but what about non-AU pit crew mechanic Gil :eyes:
(Btw I think he would love teaching in general, and even more if it is related to mechanical engineering and/or [auto] mechanic)

It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it. Life is long enough, and a sufficiently generous amount has been given to us for the highest achievements if it were all well invested. But when it is wasted in heedless luxury and spent on no good activity, we are forced at last by death's final constraint to realize that it has passed away before we knew it was passing. So it is: we are not given a short life but we make it short, and we are not ill-supplied but wasteful of it.

thinking again about gil leaving traces of himself in all kinds of different projects, for someone that supposedly "isn't doing anything". dedications and credits for helping with thesis, papers, books; also credits in obscure indie videogames (mostly for translations, just some voice acting, writing and code, also testing); participates in tournaments of videogames, board games, and card games; website coding; a bit of costume design for film studios, theatre companies, mainly for medieval faires and cosplay; other things such as volunteering, and/or using his knowledge in mechanics, and/or teaching, all around berIin...
all of this will go unnoticed unless friends and fam play enough attention ("He work[s] really hard but tries really hard not to show it!")
oh yeah gil probably knows how to work with leather (and metal) and maybe he is paid to make custom kink gear
*this and ren faire stuff
...tailor gil?
2011: 1 + 2; next ones are better lol
2014 (+dog post)
2017 (#298-303) (Arc begins in #293, changes the subject but focus on France continues until #322!!)
When Gil is alone at home, he probably has to answer the phone for Lud somewhat often. Aside calls from other nation-people, I assume other calls would be from the govt, with information Lud needs to know, but also, bc Lud is a reliable worker (and struggles saying no), bet he would be asked 2 do [extra] jobs, Dx. The thing is, Gil definitely wouldn't be as trusted lol, and straight up would not tell his brother about stuff he deems unnecesary, or that thinks that can be done by others... For the better in general that he answers the phone?

TLDR: younger brother's unpaid secretary—well if he is paid is not for that.
Hima about his OC Pru: an extroverted/social guy (even if not exactly great at it) now is often alone at home doing nothing lol, lmao.
I'll always be conflicted about this bc I think he has too much energy to not do anything (#killtime tag), but I also like Emotional Hurt/Angst so :)))). Tbf, Gil was in the recent-ish Sorrento arc (490, 491, 492, 493, 494, 495), and seems to be going around at least blogging ("history recording")/sightseeing (travel blog? plus whatever other related or not so related topics he wants), therefore seems Hima doesn't always have him rotting at home anymore lol.
HC/Idea I don't think I'll use, posting this for the shippers.
Now that Prussia is just a "retired" country, he could work in whatever german embassy or consulate of your choosing *wink*. I assume he has the bureaucratic experience (prussian civil service tradition blah blah...) and he is a nerd so (could be a translator too)....
