I didn’t put the art notif on cause this isn’t my art but don’t reupload my stuff regardless.

Anyway there’s a Rosemary animation that I postponed because I didn’t have enough material to work with. Now that TWF5 is being released, I can start animating it again after the episode release.

I thought that Curicó by Kiltro was the perfect song for her, so I made an audio edit and a little lyric video for funsies. I’m not gonna be done with this project for a while. I checked so many times for typos but I bet I fucked up something somewhere. Lyrics are never consistent online.

I had a vison for a cool art piece. Cool. Then had like 30 other versions of that vison. Not as cool. So, I just decided to do some silly editing to be free. I think they turned out well.

The song is "Ofelia" by Kiltro. This song fits these two surprisingly well, and it is a very relaxing to draw to lol.

It more so fits Dave and his internal battle about his feelings about Rupert. Dave attempts to gaslight himself into trusting Rykor when he knows this is all wrong by constantly telling himself "It's a light" and "It's alright" when in reality "It's a lot" and "It's a lie". Also, he wants to believe that Rupert "loves him so", which is part of the reason he keeps going, even though, deep down and buried, he knows Rykor is just using him. However, he'll never give up on his friend, even if it kills him. After all, Rupert would have done the same... right?

Also, for the shading I tried something new. I went for more of a comic/graphic look compared to my softer pieces. Overall, really proud of this.

Kiltro - All The Time In The World 2023

Chilean-American singer-songwriter Chris Bowers Castillo moved to the port city of Valparaíso and became a walking tour guide. Back in Denver, Chris had looked for a moniker that reflected the evocative and subtly rebellious musical concepts percolating in his head, and settled on kiltro - a word used in Chile for stray dogs or mutts. He then teamed up with bassist Will Parkhill and drummer Michael Devincenzi, later inviting Fez García to join the band as an additional percussionist on Kiltro’s live gigs.

Titled Underbelly, Kiltro’s sophomore album crystallizes those dreams and experiences into a post-rock manifesto of dazzling beauty. Its songs combine touches of shoegaze, ambient and neo-psychedelia with the soulful transcendence of South American folk – the purity of stringed instruments, supple syncopated percussion and elusive melodies that define the works of Latin American legends such as Violeta Parra, Víctor Jara and Atahualpa Yupanqui. From the propulsive, chant-like groove of “Guanaco” to the art-pop panache of “All the Time in the World,” Underbelly is the kind of record that invites you to quiet down and listen, savoring every single detail.
