November 16th, 2017: A new minarai has made her surprise debut out of Miyagawa Cho! Her geimei is Kimimoe (君萌) and she is from Toshikimi (利きみ). Her onesan is Kimihiro (君ひろ), which will make her the first imōto of the Toshikimi atotori. Her misedashi is scheduled for December ^^

Today in Miyagawacho: Misedashi of Maiko Kimimoe from the Toshikimi Okiya!
Kimimoe is the first imouto of Geiko Kimihiro, the daughter of the okaasan of the Toshikimi Okiya and the atatori to the okiya. Kimihiro only had her Erikae one and a half years ago, but as a popular Geiko and atatori, she can afford to already take upon an imouto.
Kimimoe is a quite unusual name, I haven’t heard of Geimaiko having -moe in her geimei in more recent years, but it is a very popular “regular” girl’s name. She is the newest addition to the Kimi-line from Toshikimi, which was started by retired Geiko Kiminao (Horiyae Okiya, on the far left in the picture), who was the onee-san to Geiko Kimina. Kimihiro and Kimitoyo are both imouto of Geiko Kimina.
There hasn’t been a new addition to the Kimi-line in 3 and a half years, since Maiko Kimitoyo, the second daughter of the Toshikimi okaasan, had her Misedashi in June of 2014, so I’m quite happy to see it being carried on further. I’m also a bit biased, since Kimi- is one of my favourite naming-lines, as it contains my name ^^. Also, Kimihiro is one of my favourite Geiko!
Kimimoe is a very cute girl, but there isn’t much else known about her yet. There also weren’t many pictures of her Misedashi, but that’s probably because of the time of year. I do hope that she stays around and wish her all the best for her career!
