Oops, I thought I had the full set in my bio already! Will fix that. The full set's dre/drem/dris/dris/dremself, ie:
Dre owns the ball. The ball belongs to drem. It's dris ball. The ball is dris. "That's mine," dre said, pointing to dremself.
(As a note of interest, the original version of this set (as written in the Epyllion TTRPG book) is dre/them/dris/theirs/themself, but I think that's stupid so I changed it to be consistent.)
All my posts on my personal experiences with draconity and gender shoooooould in theory be in my "gender" tag, and more general posts about otherkinity and gender should be under "otherkin and gender" or, failing that, the broader "otherkin and lgbt". But I don't know that I've actually, uh, put the full dre/drem set out there in a post before, in fairness to you lmao, and if I have it would be pretty far back and you might need to tack /chrono onto the end of that tag URL to find it.
Okay, so this one keeps throwing me. So I have a very expansive world, and it’s pretty magical (alternate version of our world) and I learned through reading your blog that since it’s pretty polytheist (several small pantheons and then a couple big ones, and none of the big ones are based in any religion), I probably shouldn’t have theistic Jewish folks as their theism would be entirely, provably wrong - does that extend to culturally Jewish folks? I want to give them the rep and I want to do it right, but I’m not sure how best to go about that? Thanks!

Bearing in mind that mileage may vary, personally, that would be my preference -- no one single work of literature is going to include every demographic of people, so I wouldn’t have a problem with us being left out of this story entirely.

In this case, where the world is filled with various religions, and Judaism is provably wrong, I would absolutely prefer to be left out of it. In situations where multiple religions, including Judaism, are at least partially true, I am personally thrilled to be included, but in a case like this it just ends up feeling like mocking, even if that's not the author's intent.
It may be more obvious to the broader public why Jewish characters who practice Judaism should be left out, but I would argue that secular Jewish characters should be left out too. Judaism isn't the only thing that makes people Jewish, of course, but it is the prime, foundational aspect of Jewish culture that so much else sprang from. So many of our foods, habits, humor, even our broad worldview, is based on concepts from Judaism. For this reason, if you write a world where there are Jewish people, but Judaism is demonstrably false, you give the impression that those beautiful things are based on nothing, pointless, even foolish.
Better to just leave us out of this story.

God damn runescape lore.
1.) That its gone through AT LEAST 2 major retcons, I hate when writers throw out entire pieces of lore and write new stuff, I know that the og God lore wasn't actually very good but I am fundamentally a person that hates change. Think of a way to write around your stuff or expand on it. Recontextualize! Throwing it out is cheating!
2.) That so much of it is behind massive level and prerec restrictions to even see it in game, not to mention the limited time events. (not sure how unpopular this one is but shhh)
3.) I hate the official discord, put it in the game you cowards, also sometimes the shit they "confirm" is blatantly contradicted by things that are actually in the game but you know older than the past 5 or so years.
4.) I'm tired of the super serious deadly world ending quests which feels like all they were feeding us for a while now, of all the most recent quests the ones I liked the most were Heart Stealer and Chef's Assistant. Like I just wanna have some fun low stakes interactions with established characters for once. It kind of loses the impact when Every quest is about the literal fate of the entire world again.
5.) Contrary to my above position I wish they would stop dropping threads to not pick them up for literal years at a time. Like I don't even care about most of the signature heroes but if they were going to be so damn important that you had a big story arc planned at least finish the damn thing.

1.) Acting like their way is the only right and good way all the damn time, not only are they usually the ones who caused problems in the first place they have the egos to act like everyone else should have just done what they said and so really its their fault.
2.) Assuming everyone who isn't outwardly Zamarokian is also a Saradomonist. No, just no.
3.) Ruining the color blue.
4.) Not being any fun. And also being complete snitches while they're at it >:/

Mahjarrat (careful what you wish for lol)
1.) Condescending! I get it! Basically all of them are old as dirt! That doesn't mean that they're right all the time and I'm tired of being talked down to when they come to me for help!
2.) Emotionally constipated. There I said it. And its true, not accepting critiques at this time.
3.) You can't leave them alone for a day before they've either plotted to backstab literally everyone or they've convinced themselves everyone they've ever met is out to get them. So two-faced they're convinced everyone is.
4.) Egotistical, I'm starting to lose track of how many Mahjarrats have convinced themselves that they're my biggest threat or greatest ally. I'm going to give myself a headache from all the eyerolling at this point.
5.) Rude! Rude and fucking mean and for no reason!! Even when I'm trying to help them!!! Even when all I've ever done is try to help!!! Sick of it, done with it, and not putting up with it anymore.
actually speaking of that last ask let's continue with "how write good prose": french kissing! how write good without tongues battling for dominance? :D
tongue kissing without the battle for dominance!
well. I happen to find most descriptions of what tongues do during kissing to be pretty gross, so let’s see if I can put together a list of likes and dislikes. I’m going to start with a dislike, because this is SUCH a pet peeve:
dear writers who describe their characters licking every single tooth while making out, or licking the roof of their partner's mouth: those things feel deeply weird and funny. I've done them. It's not erotic, just giggly. You can have your characters do it, but it probably will not send "a bolt of lust" to their junk, it will just make them pull back and make a weird face and then go back to more-regular kissing.
sometimes authors specify that their characters are licking between the teeth and the lip and I'm like "have you tried that??? it tickles and it's weird"
if you’ve never kissed anyone with tongue before, these are understandable things to write based on a) other fanfiction, and b) what our own tongues feel like in our own mouths, but licking someone else’s teeth is silly and intimate in a weird way.
Ways to write kissing that can be great:
make it short! “she slipped her tongue in his mouth, hot and slick”.
make it tender! “they shared air for a long moment, luxuriating in the pressure and the heat”
make it filthy! “when his tongue pressed against her lips, she whimpered and a fierce heat sparked between her thighs”
make it vague! “the kiss was so deep and wet that she almost felt lightheaded”
make it dry! fuck tongues! “their lips moved in time with the music, with their hips, with their heartbeat.”
make it sharp! (I’m running out of adjectives) “he nipped at their lower lip and they gasped at the sensation” or “she bit the tip of his tongue in a warning; he wouldn’t get a second chance”
you don’t have to hardcore describe every motion of their mouths for it to be sexy - let us know what affect the kissing has on them, why they’re doing what they’re doing, how it reflects the things the rest of their bodies are doing!

Wednesday: name a fic which you have posted which you think is underrated?
Indelible Limerence probably. tbf at the time of writing it, the fandom was really small and the characters I wrote for a side characters but i really liked the themes there. i don’t really see fics about unrequited love where both parties still come out of it with a strong and healthy friendship and they’re better off because of it. Also someone gets stabbed and thats always fun
March: do you listen to music whilst writing?
Music is so intrinsically linked with my life that its rare that I’m not listening to music at any moment :p When writing its usually dramatic operas or more old timey pop music
April: have you ever written and/or posted a crackfic?
I write three genre’s of fic. Introspection, Crippling angst, and crackfic. It’s usually more casual/wacky titles like “Childe's Guide to Liyue's Meal Etiquete”, “Centerfold”, and “New Day, Same Old Stuff“ that are crackfics
Hours: longest wip or completed fic?
For a completed fic, it would be Overwhelmed in the Dark clocking in at 9.5k. For a WIP it would be Beneath a Crown Jewel Smile with 20k words. I’m very nearly done CJS but the subject matter is so draining to write that it’s been sitting in the unfinished pile for almost a year now :p
