For Side Effects AU - Now we know Anfgel was an unwilling sleeper agent, you just KNOW Vox has him set up to give any information on Alastor to him, so now I want to see Vox reacting to the news that Alastor is now human. Maybe a pic of him Angel sends! Or them meeting in Episode 3 - or Vox and the Vees show up to the opening because he knows human!Alastor will be there and that Alastor won't be able to throw them out (you KNOW he was only worried about Alastor, not Lucifer) and meets Amnesia!Al

My actual original plan for the ending of the introductory chapter was for Angel to immediately whip out his phone and take a picture. But then Husk in my head stole the attention by passing out. So I'm saving that gag and Vox's reaction for later. Since Lucifer and Vazzmatazz haven't had that conversation for Angel to eavesdrop on yet, Lucifer could still serve as a deterrent for now.

At the moment I'm torn on how exactly I want to handle Vox's reaction; euphoric or furious. Euphoric because Alastor having none of his memory or experience in Hell leaves him prime for manipulation. Furious because revenge is hollow of the other party can't even remember how they wronged you. Maybe it would make sense for Vox to be torn too? Maybe I'll write out two alternative takes on his reaction and see which feels more right, idk.

Recently, I've seen fans accusing Ned of being a bad father for showing supposedly favoritism towards some of his kids and neglecting others. I know these takes come from specific stans who want to paint their blobos as suffering martyrs that everyone mistreated but still this misunderstanding of Ned annoys me.

Also I disagree with the popular take that Jon's quote on Val being a "warrior princess" makes him a. sexist b. someone who looks down on victims who need rescuing. The boy does everything in his power to help those in need and befriends people who are according to westerosi standards "weaklings". And he had said "the women are the strong ones".

9. Worst part of canon

The lack of good relationships between women. In a book where family bonds are on focus all the loving sibling duos are either two brothers ( ex. Jaime and Tyrion) or a brother and a sister ( ex. Jon and Arya). And the story don't focus on female friendships the way it does to male ones.

10. Worst part of fanon

Sun Dragons or whatever name Targaryen antis have given to Elia and her children.

Elia in the books: a kind minor character who died in a horrific way.

Elia in fanon: "It's called A Song of Elia and her kids and all Targaryen should die but let me tell you about Rhaenys being mother of dragons".

general opinions: I like book Arya more than show Arya, maybe even towrads "love them" though I don't really like all of the Arya chapters and will often skim/skip some. She gets a bad rap because her fans do the "not like other girls" thing to her, but really she's just awkward and out of place and even stuff like allowing her to waterdance was just Ned temporarily humoring her and not actually him caring to help her find her place in the world.

general opinions: I added a "dislike them" mostly because I don't really hate-hate him, he's vile but his POV is still interesting sometimes. I'm really hoping he has a complete villain turn, maybe betrays Dany or something, but that he actually keeps true to the camaraderie with Jon and allies with him. He's another character where people baffling confuse him with their show version, I've had people outright claim he's never raped anyone, for example, when it's in the actual text of the book that he has.

Rhaenyra: hate them | don’t really care | like them | LOVE them | THEY ARE MY PRECIOUS

general opinions: I love book!Rhaenyra, but was mostly blah about show!Rhaenyra if not outright disliking her at times (even if I still think she's the rightful heir lol), in the book she seems to be more making the most of the awful circumstances she keeps getting thrust into, but has zero support from her father to actually accomplish anything and enemies at every turn. Her breakdown and heel turn are understandable after all she's been through and the book doesn't try to overly soften it (especially since the book has a notable anti-Rhaenyra sentiment). In the show she makes me want to scream/pull my hair out sometimes lol

Jon had not wished to be here. Even now, walking towards the stage that had been set just for this occasion, thousands bowing as he made his way to what felt like his doom, he still imagined jumping onto Viserion and flying away, back North to Winterfell's warm grasp.

There was no real choice to be had, however.

The war for the succession had finally ended, not with Aegon or Daenerys on the throne, but with both of them dead, and Jon forced to step in as once his ancestor Cregan had.

Except there was no boy king to place on the throne, the only stability to be had was Jon himself.

King Aemon I Targaryen, history would undoubtedly call him, as much as that made his skin crawl and his stomach squirm.

The High Septon, or whatever passed for one after the destruction of the Starry Sept and the Sept of Baelor and everyone in them, awaited him and he reluctantly knelt before him for his blessings.

For days he'd reviewed what he would need to do and say, both with this ceremony and the wedding that soon awaited him.

Sacrificing himself for peace was not an issue, but he'd much rather it was to a final death instead of this slow destruction of all he had been and would ever be.

They said Daenerys had killed Aegon in a grand battle above the city, that he and Rhaegal had fallen and created some of the great destruction in their death throes.

They said she had assembled the remaining lords and ladies in the Keep, hostages kept under constant guard, even those from neutral houses. When she announced her plans, she listened to no protests, uncaring how it looked when the Mad King's daughter with her kinslaying Lannister Hand had announced she would execute the Dowager Queen Arianne and punish Dorne for having chosen Aegon over her.

His Aunt Daenerys died in the throne room, just as both his grandfathers and his Uncle Brandon had, alongside Tyrion, both stabbed half a hundred times as Rhaenys had been before them (as he had nearly been.)

Though the Dornish were still unpopular in the rest of the realm, King Aegon and Queen Arianne had not been. And the Dornish had installed themselves into much of the Red Keep, enough to work out the planned assassination.

Even now, on a stage with only an old man and his own guards, Jon was tense and ready for an attack. He knew what it was like, to die from knives in the back, and did not wish to feel that again.

When the crown--a Crown of Winter, his last attempt to cleave his Stark heritage to him even now--settled on his head, the weight on his shoulders only seemed to increase. Westeros, and so much of Essos, would now rely on him. To rebuild, to renew.

About your commissions - for DC, does that include The Sandman?

I have not seen or read The Sandman, so unfortunately no :( Not at the moment, anyway. I'm not as well versed in the DC universe as I am in the Marvel one, and even that is limited because those universes are just so big.

In the wrist soulmate au, if Izuku has so many names because he's going to be the number one hero, how many does ALL MIGHT have? Cause I love the angst of post USJ Izuku realising they're all negative soulmates, but I also love the heart-warmingness of him being upset and then All Might reveals HIS arm.

As heartwarming as that is, if All Might had a similarly wild enemy list he would have warned Izuku, or at least shown him at some point on the beach. All Might has one name- All For One's, because even though he's fought so many villains over the years, that's really the only one where there was a large emotional impact for both. Izuku, by contrast, feels them all.

I love the series mondengel did where JC is actually the result of an affair between YZY and WCZ, and JFM finds out, but I hate the idea of WWX's dad cheating on his mom, so I thought - how to make it even WORSE? And it hit me. JC's real dad isn't WCZ - its Zhao Zhuliu. Now called Wen Zhuliu. 1/2

2/2 Imagine them doing a Xianxia verse blood test and proving that JYL is actually JFM's daughter and that making her the heir to the Jiang Sect - or maybe JFM would go 'screw it YZY doesn't get her blood on the Lotus throne after I've divorced her for cheating on me, WWX is a prodigy and understands the meaning of the Jiang Sect - he's my heir. Screw Wen Mao's way of focusing on the clan and not the sect, we're going back to the old way of doing things.'

OOH ACTUALLY 3/3 BECAUSE I JUST HAD AN AMAZING LINE POP INTO MY HEAD! JFM: A-Xian will become my heir because I would rather Yunmeng Jiang became Yunmeng Wei then Yunmeng YU! (also, imagine what Wen Zhuliu's reaction would be - and Wen Ruohan's. He might well go 'hey, you've been so loyal to me, I will let your illegitimate son have the Wen name as well.') 

Honestly I... don’t think JFM would name WWX heir. Like, he likes WWX fine but he genuinely doesn’t seem to really... give a shit about him? So long as he’s got a roof over his head? Basically I can’t see JFM letting his own line lose control of Lotus Pier in favour of WWX. Either he’d put JYL on the throne (it would remain the Jiang sect because... well, it’s patriarchal so she’s not a Yu and as leader of a great sect her husband would marry into her sect and not the other way around; I’m not entirely clear on how it would work but I assume her kids would probably take her name in this situation?) or he’d just. remarry and have more kids. And I can’t see WZL giving a shit about having a bastard son given he cheerily turned around and sided with the guy who slaughtered his birth sect. But the idea of YZY cheating on JFM with WZL is very good!
