My Hazbin Hotel AU Master List:

Some AUs I enjoy daydreaming about or have gotten more than a few asks about. The biggest of these is my Devil's Bastard AU, in which Alastor is Lucifer's secret love child.

The Devil's Bastard and Spinoffs:

The Devil's Bastard AU: The main AU in this convoluted web. The Premise of this AU is that Lucifer visited Earth in secret over 100 years ago and got wasted at a Mardi Gras party in New Orleans. After the conclusion of season 1 of Hazbin Hotel, he discovers that Alastor is his bastard son. First post here Raised Together AU: The creatively named spinoff of the main AU in which Lucifer knew that he got Alastor's mother, Nicaise, pregnant from the get go and after her death, adopts Alastor into the Morningstar household. Because Alastor never died and was instead brought to Hell as a living human being, he is not actually a Sinner but a unique type of demon similar to Lilith. First post here Kid Alastor AU: This AU follows the main beats of the Devil's Bastard AU, except that Alastor died when he was still a child (approx. 11 years old). Alastor still becomes the Radio Demon, but keeps his identity as Alastor and his identity as the Radio Demon separate. First post here TDB Swap AU: In this AU, at Lilith's direction, Alastor opens up the Hazbin Hotel to prove that redemption is possible. His goal is to redeem just one damned soul in exchange for getting his soul back. Meanwhile, after the death of his son, Lucifer has become incredibly overprotective of his daughter and keeps her locked away in the Morningstar palace. Charlie runs away and becomes the Hazbin Hotel's mysterious benefactor with unknown goals. First post here Happy Hotel AU: In this AU, Nicaise and Alastor both lived and died in the 2000s and Alastor was a toddler at the time of his death. After dying and going to Hell, baby Aster (he can't pronounce his own name) ends up on the doorsteps of Charlie's hotel, which retains its original name. First post here The Devil's Lost Son AU: In this AU, Alastor is secretly raised by three angels who harbor a grudge against Lucifer and want to use Alastor as a weapon against him, as well as Michael, who is just excited to meet a small piece of his long lost 'brother.' Lucifer has been led to believe Alastor died and went to Heaven, while Alastor believes Lucifer willfully abandoned him. First post here Lilin Alastor AU: This one breaks the mold a little in that Lucifer is not Alastor's bio dad... but Lilith is his bio mom. Lilith was effectively kidnapped to Earth and became trapped there for a number of years while Lucifer lead a search for her from the other side. Lilith lived as a human man and found comfort with Nicaise. By the time Lucifer finally found her and brought her home, she left behind a heavily pregnant Nicaise. First post here

Other AUs:

I Accidentally Became the Protagonist of a Fantasy Romance but All I Want to do is Kill People: aka the Accidental MC AU or the Isekai AU. In this AU, Alastor still died in the 1930s when he was mistaken for a deer while out hiding a body. But instead of waking up in Hell, he took over the life of a nameless background character in a fantasy light novel. He accidentally meets the intended main character of said novel and disrupts the events of the story so she falls in love with someone other than one of the story's intended love interests. In an effort to get the plot back on track, the supernatural forces that guide the narrative shove him into the protagonist's vacated role and now he has to dodge scummy suitors while dealing with magical bullshit and also murdering people on the side. First post here Side Effects AU: The one where Alastor gets his wound healed, but with some side effects. At some point between the end of season one and the start of season two, Alastor succumbs to his angelic wound and Charlie convinces Lucifer to save his life. However, Lucifer makes a mistake during the healing process and accidentally strips Alastor of not just his wound, but all his demonic traits and memories of the afterlife. Effectively turning Alastor back into a human. First post here

I know I did genderfluid Al where the only people who realized are Nifty and Lucifer but I also think it would be SOOO funny if Everyone in the hotel knew about Alastor being genderfluid EXCEPT Lucifer as an appleradio plot with identity shenanigans.

Have Lucifer staying at the hotel after Dad Beat Dad, and the next morning Alastor's like "I used up all my masculinity yesterday I'm Mom today" and goes downstairs in a nice vintage dress and smokey eyes. Lucifer looks over and is like "Uh, who are you?"

And like. All activity in the lobby stops. Everyone turns to look at Lucifer. Because yeah Alastor's a little more dolled up but it is SO clearly Alastor. The king can NOT be this dumb.

Alastor: We literally met yesterday.

Lucifer: Nah, I think I would remember meeting that red loudspeaker's hot twin sister.

Charlie looks like she's about to speak up and correct her dad, but Alastor waves her off and is like "Yes... his twin sister... That's who I am, of course..."

And honestly Alastor isn't even thinking about identity shenanigans at this point, she just doesn't want to have to explain her identity to some guy she barely knows and certainly doesn't trust. Like, Lucifer doesn't need to know, let him think she's a pair of twins for the rest of his stay at the hotel, who cares?

Charlie and the others quietly decide to also keep their mouths shut because like... If Alastor doesn't want to out herself then THEY'RE not going to do it for her.

Anyways Alastor does, in fact, realize the hilarity of the situation later when it becomes clear that Lucifer not only finds her attractive but is purposely flirting with her in an attempt to piss off her "twin brother."

You know what would be kinda funny? If when Lucifer and Alastor are flirtingfighting after Vox captures Lucifer, Luci mentions something about Alastor's hot twin. And stalker Vox of course knows about Alastor's gender fluidity and Supports it (aka doesn't want to piss off people VoxTech supports all genders! Yes I said it stop poking me Velvette-) and he splutters and spills the beans. Alastor pouts, how dare Vox ruin his fun! Meanwhile Lucifer is blue screening over both the hot mean guy and the hot flirty girl not being twins, but the same person.

Not immediately related to the above, but Velvette definitely has a big lesbian crush on Alastor when she is feminine presenting right?

oh my gosh yessss Alastor's high key actually upset that Vox went and ruined it because he was genuinely having fun with the identity bs BUT at the same time the look on Lucifer's face as the realization sets in is, in fact, priceless, so maybe it's not TOO bad. He can work with this.

Meanwhile Lucifer's ears are ringing and he's retreated into his own mind as a wave of FURIOUS embarrassment sweeps over him because. Oh no he's actually said some REALLY dumb bullshit to Alastor's face regarding his "twin." For BOTH identities. He's told both identities that they should take after the other in some traits. IT'S THE SAME PERSON. ALL THOSE TRAITS BELONG TO THE SAME PERSON.

Alastor must have 100% been laughing at him mentally this ENTIRE TIME. FATHER STRIKE HIM DOWN HE CAN'T LIVE WITH THIS EMBARRASSMENT HE HAS TO DIE.

Then Lucifer gets lifted into the Torture Canon and he's like wait no, not like this, some other way to die please and thank you (like between Alastor's thighs WHO SAID THAT)

OH MY GOD YES HE IS DEFINITELY THINKING THAT. And when he climbs out of the cannon towards the end and is all loopy cuz of the pain, Lucifer definitely mentions Alastor's thighs. Something something those tickles were bad I beat Alastor's would feel nice. Something something Alastor stands over Lucifer as he is collapsed on the ground and Lucifer looks up. And up. (Wow he's tall. Wow those legs. Can Alastor just sit, that would make everything better. Those ears are adorable when they are going down like he's embarrassed and that blush is adorable-) And then Lucifer passes out. After saying all that out loud. To Alastor's face. Or well. To Alastor's legs.

Alastor has never really thought about sex or romance, but finds himself charmed by LuciferI mean eager to manipulate Lucifer this way. Ignore the blush. And the shadow with heart eyes. Who is now zipping around trying to gather up all the rubber ducks the king had thrown at them that Alastor definitely kept for nefarious purposes and not because they intrigued him! Not even the fire breathing one! Ignore the fact that one of them that shot out glitter was used to glitterfy all of Vox's important servers. And the fact that Alastor's shadow took pictures and now is trying to show them off to a hazy in-and-out of consciousness Lucifer.

God I need other people nearby to hear Lucifer's unhinged loopy thirst monologue too, Charlie Emily and Vaggi just looking on in the background being like 😶. Maybe it's even televised, if there's any drones left that were still recording. (Some people are calling Alastor a homewrecker, others are calling him a girlboss [which he is when he's a she], and some people are calling Lucifer an old pervert. The old pervert allegations grow by the day.)

Alastor is 100% planning to use this conversation to tease Lucifer SO BAD later. After he nurses him back to health at the hotel for, of course, manipulative reasons. Alastor on Lucifer's bed kicking his feet watching his shadow sort through the piles of ducks that it collected while Lucifer is barely conscious right next to him, tucked under the covers, wondering how he got here.

This sounds like a shitpost but people should be allowed to be horny. As in, sexuality is just part of life for most people and there’s no reason for consensual sexual behavior to be punished. A celebrity getting “caught” at a sex club shouldn’t be a scandal. No one should be fired for having a fetlife profile outside of work. Nudes getting leaked shouldn’t be career-ending. Denying and hiding (consensual) sexual interests doesn’t make anyone more professional, it just makes everyone more repressed. And sterilizing ourselves to be better work drones isn’t productive, it’s just creepy. I’d rather my surgeon get absolutely railed on camera and come to work in a good mood, frankly.

Honestly, as much as I love "Fiction isn't reality" as a proship belief, I also saw someone using "Fiction isn't education" and I think that might be even better. Because the idea of fiction affecting reality has a different meaning to everyone and is pretty easy for antis to try and twist against us, but "You should not assume that any piece of fiction is meant to instruct you on how to think or act" is a much more clear-cut message that I think is harder to dispute. I like it a lot. Fiction is not education.
