It's funny because the fandom all collectively had a mental breakdown over the fact that it's a kitty song like a year ago at the beginning of the pandemic lol.

But it's weird because like the whole fandom used to ship kitty unanimously and then QOAAD happened and shit got toxic and problematic and then the ableism started and people starting throwing Ty under the bus and certain people like myself started to feel bitterly towards Kit because if the behavior of allistic fans. Now we're kinda broken in two and that makes me sad. The whole thing makes me sad.

Like I get so angry when NT kitty shippers are like "ugh miss me with the drama I just want them to be happy and in love uwu! Don't pick sides!" Like do they honestly think that we don't want the same things as well? I would love it if everything could be happy and perfect but unfortunately that's not gonna happen for a while because if the situation CC forced them into!

There is always going to be tension and conflict and microaggressions in relationships between an oppressed person dating and/or in love with their oppressor. Like people don't want me to frame perfect kitty in that way but it's the truth. Kit is Ty's oppressor and you cannot forget that.

This doesn't mean that they can't be in love or be happy together. This isn't Kit's fault! It's society's fault and the way it's built on the oppression and marginalization of disabled people. But that doesn't mean Kit can just skate by without being aware of his privilege.

I don't want to bring "politics" into kitty anymore then anyone else does but I would be doing a disservice to my community and myself if I ignored these issues. I love Kit as a character and I see so much of myself in him but I don't want to let him off the hook in TWP for the shit he pulled with Ty. And yes! Trauma I know! No one ever stops talking about the trauma I get it. I sympathize with him as someone who also has trauma. But Kut doesn't need my help! Because literally half this fandom rallied behind him at the drop of a hat because that is what it means to be neurotypical.

To be believed. To be supported. To be heard. To be understood.

I don't care if certain people think I'm making Kitty toxic by calling attention to problems that were not created by me. In my opinion, I'm fixing them.

Sorry this got so off topic wow! But yeah I love you is such a kitty song and it's been in my kitty playlist for a long time now.

Ok I'm not the biggest Taylor Swift fan but I decided to listen to Willow because everyone was saying it's a kitty song. And it totally is!
