Yes of course. I always make copies notes on a pattern in knitting. That way when I leave it under the bed for 6 months I know exactly where to start from when I pick it up again. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I wish! Someday, maybe I'll learn to do this. But for now I've just lost an hour of my life sorting it out, thinking I knew where I was, then ripping back to start again where I actually was. Sigh! Still, all fine now and I'm back on track. And as is the way with these things I remember why I set it aside. And in other news: I'm pleased to report that me and my spinning wheel are back on good terms. I've had the old Ashford traditional wheel for a few years after inheriting it from my husband's family. Every so often I pull it out and have a play but the wheel is old and a bit cranky and I was never really sure what I was doing. In recent weeks though things seem to have clicked and we both seem to have got into the swing of it now. Yesterday found me all out of sorts with social media and a few choice discussions on various Facebook groups managed to disturb my Sunday calm (mini rant on the blog if you are interested). My solution was to switch off the laptop and spin for a bit. Starting today with half a sock and a hangover - but not an alcoholic one. Had the most amazing day at @blogtacular - listening to such great speakers, chatting to friends and making new ones. I did fully intend to blog every day while we were away but for a variety of reasons - mainly because I relaxed for the first time in months - it didn't happen. Still it feels good to sit down this morning with a fresh pot of coffee and some silence before the house wakes up. As I go about the business of returning to our life here and washing many (many) loads of laundry I'll be keeping my mind very firmly fixed on that sense of calm and relaxation. And I also can't wait to go and spend some quality time with my stash.
