I'm so happy with how my Crescendo Summer Top is looking! Blocking really evened everything out and helped all those sewn hem edges to lay flat. Now to just get some finished object photos... 😁

Hello and happy new year everyone! :)

I am excited to announce that I have a new pattern that is ready for testing. Let me introduce you to my ABIES beanie:

ABIES features a lovely stylized fir tree cable motiv that is alternated with classic 2/2 cables merging into a star shape at the crown. Worked with 7mm needles this is a quick and rewarding knit.

The cables can be worked with or without a cable needle and both witten and charted instructions are given for you to choose.

Anyone fancy a beanie test knit? It's such a long time since I started working on this pattern, but I finally had the chance to get the design written and am nearly ready to go. The hat is cabled, and worked in the round using Aran weight yarn and 2 sizes of needle (5 & 5.5mm, which if memory serves is US8 & 9). Both of these hats were knit in Drops Nepal. One size is given (Adult) with suggestions on modifying for a larger or smaller hat. Ideally I'd like 2 testers; what I am mostly checking is whether the sections where you have to move the stitch marker to accomodate the cabling are easy to follow. Let me know if you're interested, and fancy knitting a hat in the next few days! The Sharkney Cowl is back again, and I’m looking for testers...again! The link to apply is H E R E and there’s a quick overview below: New & improved, the cowl is now worked using intarsia and available in 2 sizes! P A T T E R N    D E T A I L S: - 2 sizes: The Reg (21" / 53.5 cm) circumference & The Meg (28" / 71 cm) circumference (shown in The Meg)                                                                        - cowl knit entirely flat from the bottom up and seamed - colorwork is worked all as intarsia - pattern includes both charted and written instructions for colorwork M A T E R I A L S -- YARN: any DK weight yarn in 3 colors (totals in my stories and application)     -- NEEDLES: US size 6 (4 mm) 24” / (61 cm) circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge (25 sts X 32 rows = 4“ / [10 cm] in St st The only other thing is that you need to have an Instagram account as there will be a group chat :) Feel free to share or leave any questions!
