This past year I participated in a “Shawl Challenge” sponsored by Boo-Knits. The idea was to knit at least 11 “Boo” shawls within a year. Prizes were to be awarded to the ones who made the most. I did not come in first, second, or third, but I was one of the random ones drawn to receive an “honorable mention” -- so to speak. What do I say? I can always use another free pattern and skein of beautiful yarn! Shown above are some of the "Boos” I knitted up.
Exciting News!
My good people, I’m taking on a major knitting project and I am absolutely stoked!! I’ll be designing and writing over 30 patterns all inspired by the different races and cities in The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit franchise!
This is the biggest project I’ve ever attempted and I already have the first 5 sketched out. One is already knit up with only the pattern having to be written with the 2nd on on the needles now.
NaKniCroMo Day 1: Goals 1.) Finishing this Weasley dog sweater (which is much further along but I don’t have a recent picture) and starting/Finishing a smaller one too 2.) Finishing the pair of socks I’ve been ignoring for about a year+ 3.) start a sweater? And/ Or 4.) Knit a Jester a la Critical Role?
Knitting Blog Challenge Day 6 What is your favorite piece that you’ve knit? If anyone has followed any of my other social medias you’ll know that these mittens are my absolute favorite thing …
I’m on Day 3 of a 5 Shawls in 5 Days Challenge, so for FO Friday, I’ll post my finished “mini-shawls”:
LEFT: Triangular shawl (I made it a little more challenging with a tiny horseshoe cable down the “spine”);
CENTER: Semi-circular shawl (I know it looks more crescent due to my blocking; added a few “V” patterns); and
RIGHT: Crescent shawl (still on blocking pins - used the crochet bind-off and tried a lacy pattern).
