I only recently found your blog and I’m sure you & your followers you will disagree with me but I really don’t feel it is right to use other people’s visuals to promote your writing unless you’ve gained permission from them first. without the visuals would you have as many notes? I do not think so. Not that you aren’t a good writer but I always feel those who make original content get the raw deal on tumblr by not getting equal or more credit if they were the inspiration.
First, you can breathe easier knowing that gif use on Tumblr is protected by the Creative Commons License. Google it.
You are clearly a new follower because if you searched through my blog a bit more you would see that I try to credit performers as much I can, based on the information available to me.
I reblog porn videos and always try to credit the models. Often I am the only reblogger to do so as you can see here and here. I follow specific gif blogs and credit them as the source as you can see here.
Perhaps you are upset I use movie gifs and haven’t gotten permission from the actor, producer, screenwriter, set designer, etc. to use them. Are you seriously suggesting that I quit my day job and spend my time sending letters to Diego Luna and the director/producer of “Solo Quiero Caminar” so I have written permission to use gifs for my online story? And for that matter, track down every porn model, cameraman, director and producer that appears in a porn gif for written permission?
Maybe you’re suggesting that I’ve used an independent Tumblr couple’s porn gif without permission. I have never knowingly done so or removed captions/watermarks. If there was such an issue, I would gladly take it down or repost with credit.
And, since you’ve established yourself as the Tumblr police, I hope you have sent this same message to every single blog on here that creates or reposts porn gifs. They all cycle around doing the same thing- trying to get followers and post content they like/want to promote.
This will be the only time I address this issue via ask. If you or anyone else has a problem with my blog, you are welcome to unfollow it.
