[Where does the Korean influence come in? It's kind of inspired by the Californian melting pot, but you know, I have a very bad reputation. Quickly throw it in the fryer for one minute. We're just going to blast-fry this.]
(headcanon: skinship. there was little shame in the temple and dojo and as children all of the little ninjas often bathed together; even as adults they're comfortable with mixed bathing and don't experience shame over nudity. it makes me so happy imagining ninja chilling in the tub together man idk.)
Accepted except for the mixed bathing! There are some clarifications that should be made though. The Kinkous are very traditional so it sounds as though skinship is only acceptable between same sex only and for hygienes (i.e. one would see bonding during bathing and not toiletry).
Shensei’s headcanons are based off of a healthy, inclusive mix of Asian (mostly anything tied by Chinese origins) culture and tradition, so Shensei will continue to build headcanons upon such foundations. Anything between the opposite sex is considered pretty inappropriate to display in public. Even though Shensei knows Asian culture, Shensei actually made sure to double-check this. Nowhere has Shensei seen that mixed bathing is a generally accepted thing outside of the immediate family between younger children and their parents. As for nudity, most people are shameless up until they grow out of childhood. Nobody minds as much if one is the same sex.
That being said, here are a few things Shensei read: Of the Chinese-originated Asian cultures, S. Korea is most notable for skinship.
Shensei’s take on Kinkou bathing skinship will thus be mostly influenced by Korean culture. [This can be used for Ionia in general.]
Same sex only
For all ages
Any relationship is acceptable (i.e. teacher and student, friend and friend)
Sitting on lap, lounging around, ruffling hair is acceptable (touching the top of someone’s head maybe considered extremely disrespectful in some regions of Ionia)
Touching skin* only (*genitals/other inappropriate places is not acceptable of course); one may get real close by “Western” standards
If one feels uncomfortable, it is voiced ( i.e.”That’s weird. Stop it.”)
In the Kinkou Order, one would definitely see Shen, Zed, Kusho, and other ninjas in the bath together. Akali, her mother, and other women would have their separate bath.
@twindisciplines Do you agree?
I want a pair of Beats By Dre cos 2NE1 have them.
