Language school in Korea

Next year I'm going to study Korean language in Seoul for 10 weeks . I still don't know which school would be the best though . Can someone recommend one or tell me about their experiences. Thank you 😁

2017 Semester Scholarship Guideline

1. Training Location: Geumgang University

2. The volume of students: 00

3. Training Details: Korean and Korean culture

4. Merits: Free for tuition and small amount of living expense.

5. Eligibility (Applicable to all below requirements) A. The students who don't have disqualification to study abroad as foreign nationality. B. Currently enrolled in university studies or be on leave from university studies, or have graduated from university. C. Recommended by college professor. (A student should submitted a recommendation letter by University or professor) D. Native English Speaker or Native English language skills holders to equivalent native English speakers (Or students who study related English major) E. Students who can contribute to Korean cultural dissemination and South Korea after returning their country.

6. Procedure A. Submission and selection through examination the submitted the documents within the dead line and interview (if required)  B. E-mail notification of acceptance  C. Remit dormitory fee, insurance fee (Compulsory)  D. University Admission letters shipping  E. Issuing Visa and Entrance ※ Pick-up in the designated place by the school bus F. The Submission of applicant's original documents.

7. Documents Required Please submit all the required documents with the number and compress those in one ZIP file with your name_Country_Date of birth.

1) A Korean language application form 2) A dormitory application form 3) A statement of purpose 4) A student consent form 5) An official enrollment (completion) certificate from the last school attended. 6) An official academic transcript from the last school attended. 7) A letter of recommendation from applicant's professor or boss (a letter of recommendation from director of Korean Cultural Center is available for recommended students from Korean Cultural Center) 8) A copy of the applicant's passport and (if possible) alien registration card 9) A certificate of health (download) 10) Identification photographs (3cmx4cm, Including 2 photos on applications) 11) A link(address) of a movie clip introducing yourself in English (NOT a movie clip itself) 12) TOPIK certificate (if possible) * Form download : http://www.ggu.ac.kr/eng/html/students.php

※ Students who submit by e-mail should submit original documents after acceptance ※ Recommended students should submit the applications to the person in charge of Korean Cultural Center

10. Others A. If we found the incorrect facts from submitted application documents, admission will be cancel. B. When visa issue to admitted, please co-operate for smooth procedure. C. All the students must get an Gemgang University group insurance. However, if a student already bought a overseas insurance, student can submit insurance paper and do not need to get the insurance. C. If a student give up studies after our lecture begins, the student should return the scholarship.

第二次的韓國遊學生活-金剛大學

我是來自於台灣的陳鶴文。目前就讀於國立清華大學社會學研究所，今年碩士2年級。在大學四年級時，我曾經到韓國首爾的高麗大學當過交換學生。那是我第一次來到韓國，對於韓國人及韓國的任何事物都感到新奇有趣。

我是來自於台灣的陳鶴文。目前就讀於國立清華大學社會學研究所，今年碩士2年級。在大學四年級時，我曾經到韓國首爾的高麗大學當過交換學生。那是我第一次來到韓國，對於韓國人及韓國的任何事物都感到新奇有趣。

由於對韓國的社會議題及韓文感到興趣，所以在去年又申請了到韓國研習韓語的計畫。透過韓國政府的推薦，我來到了金剛大學。

金剛大學位於忠清南道論山市，有別於首爾的繁華，在這裡我體驗到了韓國的清新自然。金剛大學緊鄰著雞籠山國立公園，剛開始一到學校，我便感受到這裡的好空氣。不僅自然景觀優美，校園裡更是人才濟濟。校園不管是學生還是職員對外國學生也都非常親切，讓我感受的韓國的人情味。

目前我除了一邊學習韓語，也一邊著手進行我的碩士論文。金剛大學提供給我優良的讀書環境，舒適的宿舍，這使得我也能好好地認真讀書。希望未來金剛大學也能持續重視學生，往韓國頂尖大學的方向邁進

저는 대만 국립 청화대 사회 연구소에서 2년째 석사과정을 밟고 있는 진학문 입니다. 제가 대학교 4학년 때 고려대학교에 교환학생으로 왔었습니다. 그때 한국의 사회적인 이슈나 한글에 관심을 갖게 되었고 다시 한국에 오고 싶어졌습니다. 그래서 작년에 한국 정부 초청을 받아 금강대학교에 오게 되었습니다.

충청남도 논산시에 위치한 금강대학교는 서울과 다르게 자연의 아름다움을 느낄 수 있고, 계룡산 국립공원 근처에 있어서인지 처음 학교에 왔을 때 공기가 정말 좋다고 생각했습니다. 또한 학생들과 학교 직원들이 저희에게 아주 친절하게 대해줘서 한국인의 정을 느낄 수 있었습니다. 금강대학교에는 아름다운 자연경관과 좋은 사람들이 많은 것 같습니다.

저는 한국어 공부와 석사논문 작성을 동시에 하고 있는데, 금강대에서 제공해주는 면학환경과 편리한 기숙사는 제가 학업에 더욱 집중할 수 있게 도와주었습니다.

앞으로도 금강대학교가 학생을 중요시하고, 한국 최고의 대학교가 되기 위해 앞으로 나아가기를 바랍니다.

Hello! My name is Nuri Sifaya Irfani. I am from Indonesia. Today is my 3rd weeks in Geumgang University. The first thing I want to tell you is finally my dream came true. I always have a dream to study abroad, live in a country which I never been there, speak language which I am not getting used to at all. And now I am here in Geumgang University to learn Korean Language.

안녕하세요! 제 이름은 Nuri Sifaya Irfani 입니다. 저는 인도네시아에서 왔습니다. 오늘은 제가 금강대학교에 온지 3주째 되는 날입니다. 저는 제 꿈이 드디어 이루어졌다는 말을 꼭 해 주고 싶습니다. 저는 항상 해외에서 공부하고, 제가 가보지 못 했던 나라에서 살고 그리고 그 나라의 언어로 말해보는 것이 꿈이었습니다. 그리고 지금 저는 한국어를 배우기 위해 금강대학교에 와 있습니다.

Though I came late because of there was a problem with my visa issuance and I have to start my journey in Geumgang University a little bit late than the other. I took taxi from Nonsan to here and when I was arrive at dormitory, it took me a surprise that somehow it was so awkward feels like everybody say “anyeonghaseo” to me. I got confused about how to reply and react to it. Should I say “anyeonghaseo” too even we don’t know each other? Now I just can smile when I remember my very first time here.

저는 비자 문제로 인해 금강대학교에서의 시작을 남들보다 늦게 할 수밖에 없었습니다. 저는 논산에서부터 학교까지 택시를 타고 왔습니다. 제가 기숙사에 도착했을 때, 모두가 “안녕하세요”라고 인사하는 것은 저에게 이상한 기분을 느끼게 해 주었습니다. 저는 어떻게 반응해야 할지 몰랐습니다. 서로 모르는 사이인데 “안녕하세요”라고 인사해 주어야 하나? 하지만 이제는 저의 처음을 웃으면서 기억할 수 있게 되었습니다.

After a long journey finally i got my room and met my roommate. Noeul is my roommate. And I’m so grateful that she's a nice girl who help me to do everything. Actually, there are major things I was worried about, weather and food. Since Indonesia doesn't have winter season the weather is extremely cold for me. And since I am Moslem I cannot eat pork. But as time goes by, I found that those things are far from being my concern. The thing is because I love studying here and I’m getting comfortable since the people are nice, the scenery make me calm and help me a lot to concentrate on my lesson.

긴 여정 끝에 저는 방에서 제 룸메이트를 만날 수 있었습니다. 노을은 제 룸메이트입니다. 그리고 저는 그녀처럼 착한 룸메이트를 만날 수 있게 되어서 정말 감사합니다. 사실, 저는 날씨와 음식에 대해 정말 많은 걱정을 했었습니다. 인도네시아에서는 겨울이 없기 때문에, 날씨는 너무 추웠습니다. 그리고 저는 이슬람교를 믿기 때문에 돼지고기를 먹지 못 합니다. 하지만 시간이 지날수록, 제가 걱정했던 일들이 별로 큰 것들이 아니었다는 것을 느낄 수 있었습니다. 저는 여기서 공부하는 것을 매우 좋아하고, 이곳이 편안해지고 있었습니다. 풍경은 저를 차분하게 하고 수업에 집중할 수 있도록 도와주었습니다.

Ifeel both grateful and regretful every single day here. I am so thankful for this experience but I feel so sad whenever I think that time is ticking so fast. But one thing for sure, I promise that I will enjoy to the fullest for the rest of months I’m staying here and will make lot of fond memories so that I can share it later with my family and friends back in Indonesia. I am so looking forward for another surprise and fun. I am not regretting my decision to apply for Korean Program in Geumgang University because it is so exciting and good! Thank you for giving me this chance.

저는 이곳에서 보내는 모든 시간들이 감사하고 후회되기도 합니다. 저는 이 기회들에 무척이나 감사하지만, 시간이 빨리 흐른다는 것을 느낄 때마다 너무 슬퍼집니다. 한 가지 분명한 것은, 여기서 남은 날들을 매우 즐겁게 보낼 것이라는 것과 나중에 인도네시아에 있는 가족들 그리고 친구들과 나눌 수 있는 재미있는 추억들을 많이 만들고 갈 것이라는 사실입니다. 저는 앞으로의 일들이 너무 기대됩니다. 금강대학교의 한국어 과정에 진학하기로 한 제 결정을 후회하지 않습니다. 너무 재미있기 때문입니다! 저에게 이런 기회를 주셔서 감사합니다.
