I have decided to draw a little Kirby drawing every day. Here’s the first week!

the first 5 were drawn on paper and pasted into my journal, the last two were drawn on google jamboard.

I got Kracko done. I was going to give him some kind of robe, but I ended up making him shirtless instead.

Kracko Jr.!

Kracko Jr. has always been one of my favorite Kirby characters, and I’m not sure exactly why. It’s charmingly simple, I guess. A floating eyeball with 4 spherical clouds orbiting around it. Kracko Jr.’s name implies that it’s the offspring of the larger Kracko, but that’s not true! Kracko Jr. actually is Kracko, a weaker form of him to be specific. Kracko Jr. is often encountered before fighting against the real Kracko. Sometimes it’s as a mid-boss, like in his debut in Kirby’s Dream Land. Sometimes, Kracko Jr. just appears as an obstacle leading up to the Kracko fight, like in Kirby & the Amazing Mirror. Kracko Jr. has his fair share of unique attacks, even having the ability to throw bombs in some appearances. It’s been a while since he’s been in a mainline Kirby game, but Kracko Jr.’s more recent appearance was as a boss in Kirby’s Blowout Blast, so we’ve at least seen Jr. moving around in 3D!

The three Pop Star kingdoms govenors

So as I mentioned in the last hc this post, there’s three kingdoms: A main kingdom and two sub kingdoms in Dreamland, all of them covering different areas and each one of them with different leaders.

Now lets get started:

DREAMLAND KINGDOM

King Dedede

The “middle earth” ruler, also the one that takes general desicions for all of Pop Star. Not really that intimidating or bad in spite of his past. Not very creative with punishments either, Escargoon is usually in charge of those.

Usually described as being childish, bold, reckless, stubborn, temperamental, gregarious, strong willed and paranoid. Nowadys, while still retaining his childishness and moody tendencies he has showed himself to be a very heroic and helpful soul.

Escargoon

The King’s assistant, former regent for a short period of time (before Dedede turned 18). Like Dedede he’s not really intimidating, but is definetly not as approachable as DDD. As mentioned before, he’s usually the only giving out punishments.

Most of the tim he’s seen as a haughty and cantankerous old man with little to no patience for almost anybody. Or at least that’s how he used to be before, now while he’s still a grump, he has learnt adequate patience and seems to be a lot more relaxed now.

SKY KINGDOM

Kracko

The heavenly kingdom ruler, has been in charge before Dedede was even in charge of Dreamland (although he’s not much older than Dedede). Not as approachable as Dedede and rules his side of the kingdom with an iron fist, not afraid to give punishments at all.

His personality tends to be shown as ireful and scary. Most of the time he’s simply stern and a bit of a grump but not as bad as people mention him to be.

Kracko Jr.

Kracko’s brother, will be allowed to rule along his brother once he’s deemed ready to rule around. Not nearly as strict as Kracko which causes conflicts among the two.

He’s childish, snappy, overly confident, which makes him come out as disrespectful. Outside of that, he’s a great kid with a deep sense of respect and wants the best for the kingdom.

CAVE KINGDOM

Wham Bam Jewel

Native from Rock Star. Migrated from Rock Star to Pop Star to seek for a better life. Is the ruler of the Cave Kingdom as the result of 1. A common agreement between him and Dedede as part of a (very semantic based) sense of ownership and 2. Part of Helper to Hero prize for coming undefeated from the event in question. Very compassionate, like Dedede, has difficulties planning punishments.

Depicted as being very strong willed, social, flighty, very good with his words and a bit obnoxious, but very viciously determined when the circumstances call for it. As Rock puts it, he’s the one you need to watch out for.

Wham Bam Rock

Just like his brother, he’s an immigrant from Rock Star, second in charge but not by choice, generally in charge of maintaining the cave areas as neat and untainted as possible. But when Jewel is absent he gets in charge of delivering messages and getting things sorted out, also serves as a translator for Jewel. Often in charge of delivering punishment and God is he efficient at it! Not hard to get on his good side.

He’s not too prone to talk (even though he’s mentioned to be an excellent orator by Dedede), often seen with a sullen crestfallen stare and an equally sour disposition, generally uninterested in political affairs, sees these as an annoyance to him. Very prone to explosive anger episodes. In the words on his brother: He was “born angry”.

Kracko Jr.!

Kracko Jr. is Kracko’s “premature” mid-boss form. He has four little cloud balls that rotate around his eye. He usually floats around and zaps Kirby, but may use Waddle Doos or other enemies as help.
