You know apart from garlic, ginger , chilly what spice is staple in my kitchen, Its coriander powder. And do you know coriander is also a base for most of the masalas like garam masala , biriyani masala, tandoori masala and so many ! And i love to add a 1-2 tsp coriander powder in my curries and for the beat flavour i love to make the powder at home . The best way to get the maximum flavour out of coriander seeds is to dry-fry them. Heat a frying pan, do not add oil, add the seeds and fry them over medium heat, stirring constantly.Remove from pan and cool and grind them to a fine powder and store it in an airtight container. I make it in small batch. Just like other spices this too got so many health benefits like decrease blood pressure, lower blood sugar, improve cholesterol level ,even this supports healthy menstrual function.
