Another Season 6/Kuron Project Prediction
Shiro/Kuron: Okay, since we now know that Haggar is using my eyes to spy on us, the only solution is for my to remain blind until we find a way to fix this. *ties Hunk’s headband over his eyes* Lance, as my right man hand and the team sharpshooter, you will be my eyes from this point onward. Now tell me what you see.
Lance: Well, to your far right Hunk is being a flawless human being, Allura’s in the center of everything just killing it. Pidge has hidden away into a dark corner, hoarding her laptop like the gremlin she is. Keith and his mom are flying around fucking things up outside the Castle and to your left within perfect punching distance is Lotor being a whiny, little quiznak.
Lotor:....Can’t we just cut the narration and lock the clone up somewhere?
Lance: You can’t see it Shiro, but I am now giving Lotor the middle finger.
Haggar’s Greatest Weapon: Part II
That’s the end of that now, right? Wrong.
I still have questions.
1) How did Kuron have Shiro’s memories right up until his “death”?
“Since my fight with Zarkon, I’ve been here. My physical form was gone. I existed on another realm. I died, Keith.”
In order for Kuron to have Shiro’s memories, Haggar had to have copied or transplanted his essence directly before death. This implies that Haggar was responsible for Shiro’s disappearance, not Zarkon. Furthermore, Haggar could not have started operation Kuron unless she knew that Shiro was already dealt with. So how did she deal with him? When? Why?
2) What was the purpose of all those clones?
There were implied to be hundreds!
And did Haggar have Kuron destroy them because they were all faulty? Because her plan for them fell through? Because she was holding a grudge against Shiro? Why waste resources storing all these useless extras?
What would Haggar, adviser to the emperor and most powerful witch of the known (and conquered) universe, want with an army of Shiros? What makes Shiro so special?
3) When did she clone Shiro?
Note that the incubated clones lack Shiro’s signature scar, robotic arm, and white hair. This makes Kuron unique, and implies that these were not created with the purpose of infiltration.
Unless she took Shiro’s body at the end of the end of Voltron’s battle with Zarkon, Haggar had to have cloned him from when he was still her prisoner. This timing determines whether she was cloning Shiro because he was a human, The Champion, or The Black Paladin. Whether he was intended for Voltron or something else...
4) Will Haggar continue making clones?
“You’ve continued the work I started all that time ago and have indeed seen it through to heights I could have only imagined. Your never-ending pursuit of knowledge is truly admirable,” Honerva to Lotor regarding his collection of pure quintessence.
Haggar (now Honerva) has accessed Oriande and, through it, the secrets of Altean alchemy. Will Haggar replace the Shiro clone army? Or does she have bigger and better monsters to make? Like the ‘super weapon’ Krolia released on the Galra station? Clones of other beloved characters?* Or less loved characters such as her late husband? Occam’s Razor suggests the latter but who knows?
I hope this all gets addressed in the upcoming season!
Bonus Crack Theory:
*PUT ON YOUR TINFOIL HAT,
Kuron was a very OBVIOUS clone. Like, suspiciously obvious. Almost like he was a distraction from another, more subtle spy...
Consider: Matt was also a clone.
He was captured alongside Shiro and was also an eligible gladiator. Then after Shiro injured him, he was allegedly transferred to a camp. And after about a year, Matt was conveniently discovered and rescued by rebels.
Another year after that, Pidge tracks down his grave and assumes him dead. However, information hidden in the marker takes Pidge to a spy base. Here, she discovers Matt collecting intelligence, allegedly for the rebellion. By this point, Matt is far more adept at fighting, and confident enough to take on a bounty hunter with his fists.
When Matt breaks into “the scary lady’s” poorly guarded prison for super intelligent Galra slaves (hint hint) to look for his father, he comes across a cell that the audience doesn’t get to see inside. Instead, we see his frozen face. Many have speculated that this is because Matt saw something or someone that isn’t supposed to be revealed yet. He is conveniently alone when this happens.
Then after seeing his father off, Matt disappears again. He is allegedly with the other rebels and hasn’t been heard from since. This happens right before Kuron is shown to be Haggar’s spy and so the audience was distracted from Matt’s disappearance.
So where is Matt? Who is Matt? And I’ll do you one better, why is Matt?

what if Keith’s dad was the original Shiro all along
Can we talk about Shiro's monolids and scar?
Now this is the real Shiro's eyes, from what I've observed, his monolids are rather thin and we've gotten used to it. Not to mention his pupils aren't huge. And his scar too, not thin, a little thick.
Then, we have Kuron from S3, one of the evidence is that his pupils are a bit huge than the real Shiro's. Many of us probably use this as an evidence to support the Kuron theory or roast him.
HOWEVER,
This is Kuron from the clip at NYCC Panel recently. The monolids aren't as thick as above and even the pupils aren't big. The scar on his nose isn't thin as well! Strange isn't it?
Therefore, it could be different animators animating Shiro which goes the same for Steven Universe for some of the episodes and that we can no longer use his monolids and his scar as an evidence.
(Each day, I'm getting afraid if it turns out to be the real Shiro all these time when half of the fandom's roasting him when they thought it couldn't be the real Shiro.)
So here is a full analysis of the “Shiro Clone theory”
So here we have Shiro on some sort of operating table on a Galra ship. This looks a lot like a table that any artificial creation or CLONE is created on) Also, let’s not forget his hair. Shiro hasn’t been gone too long. It’s not likely his hair could’ve grown this much.
Look at the way he is having trouble walking and then falls. It’s like how someone who has never walked before would walk. They’re not used to their legs yet.
Shiro then sees Ulaz. But Ulaz is dead. So this must be a memory. Why would a memory of Ulaz be popping into Shiro’s mind at this moment?
It’s because “Shiro” got injected with the real Shiro’s memories, as seen here:
Flashback to this from season 2:
This would also explain why “Shiro” is having a weird headache. His head was injected with memories, which would put a lot of strain on one’s mind.
He also reacts to light and sound like someone who has never seen or heard anything before. Yes, he could’ve just been asleep; however, someone who has just been “asleep” wouldn’t react in such an extreme way like Shiro did.
Here’s where Shiro sees himself on a different operation table. This confused me at first. At first I thought it was a flashback, but once I watched it again, I realized that there was no way that this was a flashback. It was not set up like one. You can tell this is what Shiro really sees because of his shocked expression and gasp when he sees himself on the table.
Look at how deadpan Shiro’s eyes are. He’s unconscious. He also has the same haircut that he did before he disappeared. The two Shiro’s look completely different, even though not much time has passed.
Look at this. It looks as if they’re PRESERVING the REAL Shiro’s body.
Also, look at what one of the Galras says. This is part of a PLAN
They’re letting “Shiro” escape.
Which according to this commander, is all part of the plan. It seems as if they have planned a fake Shiro to go back to Voltron for some sort of plan. Maybe to get information, or to sabotage Voltron’s plans.
“Shiro” then lands on an ice planet and is rescued by these rebel fighters. “Shiro” tells them his name and explains that he is part of Voltron.
These are REBEL FIGHTERS. It’s impossible that they don’t know who Voltron is. They also have probably heard of or even seen Shiro. But for SOME REASON, they don’t believe him.
After Keith finds “Shiro”, he has a conversation with him in his room and tells him this:
However, “Shiro’s” reply is “Yeah, I’ll try.” I’ll TRY. That is not like Shiro at all. Yes, he’s hurt, but we all know he wouldn’t hesitate to see the rest of the team, especially in this scenario where he has been gone and the team had no idea what happened to him and were extremely worried. This response is also very uncaring sounding, which is again, not like Shiro, who cares a lot about his team.
And what the heck is THIS? And I’m not just talking about the haircut and pose. What he says sounds very robotic in a way. This is not what Shiro would say after disappearing and then finally seeing his team, his FAMILY, again. There’s no love. We all know he would be very emotional and possibly even console them. But what he says is cheerful, as if he had never been gone. And it sounds extremely planned or PROGRAMMED.
And last, but possibly one of the biggest hints that this is a clone of Shiro, is what happens when Shiro tries to pilot the black lion.
It doesn’t respond to him. Yes, Keith has been the black lion recently and bonded with it, but like I said, it hasn’t been that long. Plus, Shiro was the black paladin before Keith and had a stronger bond with her. There’s no way that she wouldn’t let Shiro pilot her. That’s HIS lion. Unless…that’s not Shiro…
And that is all of the proof that I caught for this theory that I, and so many others are believing. I just hope that they realize it’s not really Shiro soon…
