include intersex people in disability activism. not exclude us from your posts. many intersex condition can be consider disable disability because is disorder that mess with physical body and sometimes organs and skin and more. lot intersex people disable disabled outside their intersex condition(s) too. also lot intersex condition that commonly co-occur or 'cause' other disable conditions. we here, we part of your community, not ignore us not try push us out.
can anyone else....try talk "normal" way but take lot more time and effort and is frustrating annoying? kuru like talk in its own way but can "talk like a normal person like this" if really need, is just something not like doing
kuru not like when....see people who autism high(er) support needs, or non/semiverbal, talk about people assume they ID and they get upset cuz of this, like they think having ID bad. give off vibes of "im disabled but dont group me in with those disableds". make kuru feel weird, dunno.
not saying many people who higher support need or struggle speech do this!! just have seen it happen few times, make feel upset
"you must reblog this post now" "reblog this post or you hate [minority]" "reblog this post or you bad bad person" hate see hate see people am say that. kuru am have ocd struggle with compulsion am have meltdown breakdown sometimes over see post like that, make infuriate annoy frustrated angry and upset and sometimes throw fit because feel like have to do but hate being told what to do cuz of aspd. it is shitty lame tactic to try to get more attention on you post. harmful to mentally ill people, stop doing it. not worth it to trigger someone so you get more funny like and reblog button on your social media platform.
feel like is bit of nuance to label of "visibly autistic".
kuru likely count as visibly autistic. carry communication cards everywhere, have headphones on always, visibly stim lot of time, make weird noises alot and sometimes not speak at all. pace back and forth behind guardians muttering and squealing. very much come off as "weird" if not autistic.
but feel as though sometimes because of way kuru is (either because amab, because trans, because poc - anything), people most of the time not want accept kuru is autistic. want label kuru as something else, like "weird" or "crazy" or "dangerous". often people ask if kuru "schizo" or "brain damaged" before ask if autistic (which....yes, but still. weird thing to ask).
and kuru lucky kuru not have it worse. kuru have seen before people label other poc (especially black) or trans or phys disabled or otherwise minority people as "crazy" "schizo" "insane" "dangerous" before much more often too, for what is just autism behaviors. for what would be label as "visibly autistic" in white, cis, abled, etc person.
kuru think label of "visibly autistic" is not inherently bad, but there is discussion to be had about who apply to it, and why - especially those who people would rather call slurs than admit are autistic.
kuru am feel tired of how often times when tell others that used to have parent help do 'basic things' (like get dress, take shower and bathe self, brush hair, use bathroom) up until certain recent age, they feel react badly and say parent is creepy or weird or gross, maybe even imply sexual abuse. make kuru very mad frustrate.
kuru need help use bathroom until age 9. kuru need sleep in same bed adult until age 12. kuru need help shower and wash body until age 13. kuru still need help today for brush hair and others. is good thing that parent sometimes gived those help!! not bad. not make parent creep. stop say that imply that. is because kuru meet milestone late and need assistance not learn do right. stop assume everything parent do with disabled kid is become creepy. we not babies who need your protection.
to other who going through neglect (physical or emotional) and can not get out :
kuru see you. you not alone. kuru hear you. lot others struggle too. it ok, is not thing be ashame of. and am so so sorry have to live life where struggle, where people not care when they should be. it hard, very hard. but will get better. will meet others who care, will find way out. some day thing will get better, hope for future above. even if not today, even if not tomorrow. some day, will get help. please, don't stop trying.
