March to Camelot #1: Reign

Beloved Prince Lamorak & Unthanked King Aglovale.

I have so many headcanons about them. Lamorak being the popular one, always at jousts and travelling around - Pellinore's clear favourite when they were growing up as well. Convinced that he would be the better king for Listenoise because of these things. Aglovale meanwhile carrying the actual burden of being the ruler, and one not very popular with the people (-> in my planned timeline the Grail disappears with their mother after Pellinore's death, so its effect of prosperity disappears just as Aglovale is crowned; not a great look + he's in the (respective and very different) shadows of Pellinore and Lamorak). Never feeling worthy of the crown - thank you Pellinore's "parenting", mostly - but knowing that for all his popularity, Lamorak wouldn't make a good king and thus refusing to abdicate, which earns him his brother's and, to a degree, his people's scorn. But he still puts the greater good of Listenoise before himself, which is precisely what he knows Lamorak wouldn't do.
