Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk
All - CG (4)
In the most recent chapter of “Apple Family Memories” in my Flurry Heart’s Story series, I introduced a video game the kids are playing called “Super Dragon Warriors”. It’s heavily inspired by Super Smash Bros. and the game system it is on is very much like an N64. It includes famous dragons (most of which are OCs I made) and some old villains that are notorious for having caused trouble in Equestria and lands abroad in the past.
Here are all the characters names: Smelt, Ember, Grumblebog, Sizzle, Percy and Penny, Buttercream, Grogar, King Charlatan (Penguin King), Erebus, Lavan (with his crystalized form)
I used my design for a slightly older Ember along with some villains from G1 resembling their appearances in that show. I even threw Grogar in with his G1 look. Some of the dragon characters are actually much older now and those in their real forms look different too, but over time, their appearances are not truly known by many so the developers just made their own designs. I did this so I could pay some homage to the G1 characters’ looks and so I can showcase my own designs for the villains in the future. Erebus and Lavan look way scarier and we’ve already seen what G4 Grogar (probably) looks like with Discord’s disguise.
Grumblebog, Percy and Penny are in my fanfiction “Age of the Alicorns: Chaos Rising” and Grumblebog is way bigger and older while Percy and Penny actually look different at that age. Sizzle and Smelt are historical figures in dragon culture from years ago and would look much older now, but this game just celebrates all the different characters by putting them in a fighting game where the time periods don’t matter because it’s just a game with no accurate plot. As for Buttercream, she’s actually an OC that currently looks the way she does in the game like Ember. She’s going to eventually show up in Flurry Heart’s Story as she has an important role to play, but that’s for later...
And the second post for today! Lavan, cuz why not- I need to practice drawing humans and he's my precious child, so I'll draw him :O it was honestly really fun to do uwu
Spent the last two days finishing this game. Yes, Lavan is my fav. Yes, because he is a nii-san.
@kyaruun I’ll be waiting for ur theory u were only going to tell me if I finish the game runjgjern
Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk Tokuten - ‘Letters Addressed to Jed’
I purchased the special bonus letter set with help from a friend, translated and typesetted them. They were special bonuses from Animate that you could get when you purchased the Japanese Vita version of the game. A set of five letters ‘addressed to Jed’, all of them had distinctive ‘handwritings’ which I tried to replicate the feel of as much as possible when I was typesetting them. So yes, that last letter does look bad (in my opinion) as it does in Japanese.
