PSA: being required to publicly announce that you are joining a group or organization before you can participate (or at any point to avoid punishment) is a HUGE NEON RED FLAG.

ESPECIALLY if youre worried your peers will leave you or harass you when they find out.

this is a manipulation tactic designed to separate you from your support system with the goal of isolating you from anyone outside the group.

there are safer vetting methods out there. no trustworthy queer organization should force you to say something that could potentially get you killed.

small trigger warning for discussion of a conspiracy theory

as a schizospec individual im very lucky that my belief system is grounded in reality and what has been scientifically proven because earlier today i saw a youtube video that basically said the gifted program in american public schools was a coverup for human experimentation; and while i never watched the entire video and mostly read the comments, the only thing that tipped me off that it was fake besides the topic being ESP was that the people in the comments saying it happened to them were talking about fluoride and vaccines and other conspiracy-coded junk. i really shouldnt have to look for key words and topics to prove to myself that something is fake i should just be able to KNOW its not real

i cant imagine how difficult it must be to navigate life not only being paranoid as fuck about everything but also believing in magic and ghosts and other things of that nature

saw a youtube video titled something like "proshipping does NOT mean against harassment for ships" or something like that. wrong. opened comment section curiously. what did i expect but a bunch of under 13s calling us monsters and "pdf files" for being even marginally ok with content they shouldnt even be seeing in the first place
