Breaking the ice
After talking with Weiss, Blake, Yang and Oscar, Ruby received Ironwood’s call so that they can go where they will be taken to the Kingdom of Atlas. As well to Jaune, Clover and Qrow.
Ruby was the last one leaving the room. She was so concerned about the situation that she didn’t realise she was alone the rest had already gone ahead.
Ruby: (What’s Mr. Schnee planning to do? Who was responsible for hacking the security system? Did Tyrian met Mr. Schnee? No, that’s impossible but it’s obvious that Salem has something to do with this... That means maybe something bad will happen. Is it now a good time to tell the truth to Professor Ironwood?...)
Jaune: Hey Ruby!
Ruby: Oh hey Jaune... (I don’t want to worry him I gotta say something) Long time no se-uh n-not really... Forget about it (seriously Ruby?! Don’t you have a better idea?)
Jaune:*chuckles* It’s okay I don’t see you quite often like before too. So... things aren’t going well uh definitely something is going on.
Ruby: Yeah...
She didn’t know what to say. She didn’t want him to notice how concerned she was about the situation but she was wrong... He knew it already, he’s her best friend.
Jaune: *scratches the back of his neck* Uh... Did I mention before that your new outfit really suits you? I like it *smiles at her*
Ruby: *chuckles* Thanks, me too... I like your... new hoodie? *smiles blushed*
Jaune: *clears his throat and puffed his chest* Excuse me?! This is a high collar black shirt. Nothing compares to Pumpkin Pete’s hoodie.
Ruby: *chuckles* Right, How did you earn that hoodie? Sending in box tops for a prize? How many? Hehe
Jaune: Hmph! 50 box tops. It was worth it! Where would I be without my hoodie?
Ruby: Hahaha! Don’t tell me you still have it?!
Jaune: Of course I do! Why not?!
Ruby: *chuckles* Hahahaha! You’re not serious?! Hahahaha! I can’t breathe! Hahaha!
As she closed her eyes and hugged her belly for laughing Jaune smirked, knowing that at least it made her laugh. Who knew that a simple hoodie would break the ice. Now she can vent with him because that’s what friends are for.
