I have so many, I've written about them all throughout my blog and here's some more!!

They consider giving the business operations of their "Leech Family trade" to Jade. Jade is cold and calculating, whereas Floyd is unpredictable and therefore much suited to the role of a Capo.

Their house in the coral sea, comprises a few hectares. It is so big that it makes Yuu wonder how the concept of real estate works in the sea because their house is literally a whole underwater cave.

Rich. Georgina and Papa Leech go on shopping sprees often. The allowance they give their children every month is enough to cover the living expenses of a family of five for a year.

They refuse to wear some clothes twice. Lol. Partly because Papa Leech had an instance where his pride was wounded when he "did not dress meticulously". This is why he absolutely entailed both his sons to always show their best. People might think this is not true but think about it, Floyd is effortlessly handsome and Jade is just so-professional looking.

Makes you wonder why Jade and Floyd works for Mostro Lounge right? Jade charges it to experience since Georgina and Papa expects him to run the business, what better way to learn than be a vice dorm leader to the ambitious Ashengrotto. Floyd is well, Floyd. Just tagging along because it's fun.

Georgina, right after laying her twins and many more. Left them. In the middle of the dark, and cold ocean to determine if they can survive. Her joy can't be contained once she realizes it is her favourite twins that survived. :)

The Leech Family just sticks together all the time. Sure they might claw and slash each other to death but they will kill for the sake of their family.

Papa Leech is incredibly well-connected. He’s got ties with politicians, businessmen, royalty, small shopkeepers, merfolk of all kinds—including the shady ones who work under the radar. Half of them work for him.

Leech fam are one of the actually progressive merfolks. Since they feel the opportunities under the sea are limited, and they’re quite discriminated under the sea for practicing err, cannibalism they don't practice this in the current times tho..., they’ve made it a point to branch out into land-based ventures. Georgina pushes for networking, and land-acquired influence, while Papa Leech funds initiatives that allow merfolk to "blend in" above water. They're seen as pioneers among their kind—either admired, feared, or hated depending on who you ask.

I really love the heavy implications that Floyd and Jade had other siblings that they ate as elvers. It's stated multiple times that things are way harsher and more dangerous under the sea, but it's also highly implied that the Leech family is up to some criminal business. They seem highly aware that outright admitting to cannibalism would not be taken well, so I'm inclined to believe that it would be seen as fucked up among merfolk too. They don't often seem all too concerned with sharing differences in social cultures and taboos between the Coral Sea and places on land, so if it was socially acceptable or even just not looked down upon in the Coral Sea I doubt they'd hesitate too much to admit it? Floyd especially, he's far less secretive and more blunt than Jade.

Came onto land with her moms when they went up to be closer with the tweels, was always curious about land and now she gets to explore it to her hearts content!

Doesn’t have a lot of friends, but the ones she makes she LOVES

very into styling hair and hair dying, especially loves seeing people with unique natural hair colors

Wants to be a hair stylist or something similar when she grows up

fav sibling is Jade, her and Floyd have constant little arguments and he likes to tease her a ton

fun fact- her hairstyle is kind of based off of how I wore my hair when I was her age:3

Princess Rook Hunt- daughter to the current emperor and a concubine but so far back in line it really doesn’t even matter. She likes things that would typically be consider “man-ish” but sneaks out to do them anyway. She has a consort, Vil schoneheit and the two of them have genuine feelings.

Floyd Leech (17)-Daughter to Noble Georgina Leech twin sister to Jade leech and is in charge of a lot of event planning in court. Her ladies in waiting got tired of dressing her properly with her constantly adjusting it and ruining it so they just dressed her like she adjusted (that’s why she looks like that) has no love for court responsibilities despite being very smart. Keeps a consort Riddle Rosehearts (17)

Jade Leech- Current advisor to princess Azul Ashengrotto. Daughter of Georgina Leech and twin sister to Floyd Leech. Much more formal than her sister and takes her court duties more seriously. Does not keep any consorts. Is very close with her twin despite them being exact opposite.

if it's alright with you, i want to add on my own thoughts!! i don't intend any hate at all so please read this from a place of peace and love!! i want to share some things in the twst lore that i think could have lead to this theory of the leech twins being a part of a mafia!!

i personally think the reason why a lot of people read the tweels' background specifically as being one from a mafia family is moreso because of individual case scenarios rather than not knowing that life in the coral sea is more brutal compared to land!

like, people don't see azul as being part of a mafia even though he's also a merfolk, because we have no reason to think it. azul's mom is explicitly said to own a restaurant and his dad is a lawyer. they're treated like a regular family, with regular jobs and regular relationships. just with the context of them being in a crueler underwater environment. azul and his family are (relatively) normal.

compare that to the leech family, where: 1) mama and papa leech's jobs are kept secret and needs to be assured to us that "oh it's totally normal dw nothing suspicious at all 😁" 2) their wealth and connections are unexplainable even though it's mentioned pretty often (albeit in subtext and implications) 3) people fear and respect them so much, that they would attend their children's birthdays and give them presents that were clearly meant to be for winning the family's favour and not actually for jade or floyd specifically

these are all things that hint to us that the leech family are a much more intimidating presence even to other mers in the coral sea.

i definitely agree that this is probably still pretty normal to the coral sea and would be a lot more off-putting on land, i still think that there's a clear difference between the leech brothers and the rest of merfolk. that's why many people theorise that the leech family functions like a "mafia"!

YOO LONG POST!!! Honestly I've just got into the fandom more seriously after I dribbled into it once or twice two years or so ago? So I didn't know about this part in detail! It's actually interesting to think the leech family are legit the mafia. I interpreted those lines from the vignette that perhaps they were just on top of the food chain and thus has the liberty to do whatever sort of business that brings in what they want.

The whole shady way of speaking and the clothes I interpreted as just a quick aesthetic mama and papa leech took an interest in when they first got on land since well...in the water they dont wear clothes lol so I won't presume based off clothes and one answer their jnstantly the mafia cause I don't wanna stereotype HAHAHA

Plus I love being quirky and trying to look at it differently. But anyway GAAAHHH thanks for the ask dksndks I love seeing the long ones directed at me :DD
