Alright, since I got around to watching Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and finding it more fun than I expected, the time has come.

Which is the best Monsterverse movie so far?

Godzilla (2014)

My pick will have to be King of the Monsters. Sure there are some things about it that tick me off (like killing off Serizawa and Vivienne so soon, Mark Russel coming off as a Gary Stu at points, and the way it introduced the Oxygen Destroyer so casually, and then never bring it up again), but overall, the whole film is epic, in both scale, stakes, lore, music, and of course the monster battles. Not to mention its take on Ghidorah, Rodan, and Mothra were fantastic. Did Legendary play their cards too soon by introducing these iconic Toho kaiju right away? Probably, but it doesn't change the fact the incarnations of these characters were amazing. It still makes me sad that many consider KOTM the weakest of the Monsterverse, if only because it didn't do well at the box office (something I will forever blame Avengers: Endgame for).

‘Gundam’ Movie At Legendary Taps ‘Sweet Tooth’ Showrunner Jim Mickle To Direct

Jim Mickle will write and direct 'Gundam' Film for Legendary

Well it looks like the Gundam movie is back to Square One with a new writer and director, and Netflix is no longer the distributor. The new writer and director is Jim Mickle from Netflix’s Sweet Tooth.

The previous draft of the film according to an Anime Expo panel for VIP’s, to be frank sounded like bad 08th MS Team fan fiction. The plot of this film is still tightly under wraps…and let’s face it, will likely ALSO be bad 08th MS Team Fanfic. After all, remaking the original is apparently a complete no-go at Sunrise.

Honestly I would just go through concepts from other AU’s at this point that have something outside of that 08th framework, or since they’re probably never going to animate it, just make the movie a Crossbone Gundam adaptation.

Birth Island, December 25th 2030 The King’s Fountain has a very strange phenomena going around with it, as shown by the photograph. As nightfall on Christmas hit, it began emitting a very powerful pinkish-purple aura. Along with bursting higher than ever. We estimated the Fountain reached a record of 40km high.  Godzilla, Minilla, Junior and Izanami were observed gathering around the fountain in awe. But it seemed that they had arrived with a greater purpose in mind. Did this mean something to the Gojira? We’ve known for quite a while that Birth Island was once the largest populace of the Gojira species. Whatever this fountain’s state means, it must be very sacred and significant. It’s very rare to see monsters look this awe-inspired, despite being god-like creatures themselves. Did even Titans have gods they worshipped? There’s no doubt ancient civilizations who lived alongside the Gojira here were just as awe-inspired by this occasion as we are seeing it for the first time. Merry Christmas to all MONARCH personnel. Ik it's just a possibility but no one saying anything about it and ik that I'm right about it in someway!!

These are the two shots one after the other. Here the trailer wants to convey that kong is afraid or surprised or smthin by godzilla being destructive or smthin. But i don't think that's exactly the case!!!

Kong is surprised because godzilla killed the girl!!!

Yes coz why else ...like kong has no chains or smthin in the first shot ...that means they are both different shots.. and also the girl is nowhere ahead in the trailer.

So my theory is godzilla is fighting kong coz he takes him as a threat or smthin...and kong will fight zilla coz he killed the girl!!

And when kong jumps into the water....he made his way to the place where he finds his axe. And then he fights godzilla.

I might be wrong but no one talking about it so yeah....
