our new year's movie is les mis and david and i are supposed to take a shot every time javert mentions himself in the third person
Les Miserables
So I watched the 1978 movie version and I must say, some things are more clear now, for example how Cossette and Marius knew where to find Valjean in the end.
Also, Javert’s character was much more explored in this movie. It did, of course, lack any barricade boys besides Enjolras, Marius and Gavroche (and left Eponine out) but it was better than I’d expected.
Just one thing: Do you know how Javert commits suicide in that movie? He does a fucking backflip.
Also, I missed the scene where the officer asked: “Who is there?” and Enj answered: “French revolution!”, because watching the 1978 version I realised that was my favourite scene, hands down.
the advent room 9 videos are so wonderful and this cast is just perfect
