idk how to say this eloquently so i’m just gonna say it however because we’re moving backwards within the community at a simply staggering rate
lesbians exist, they exist they exist they exist. they exist and deserve to do so in media too. the obsession from people within the community to call every lesbian you see in media as bisexual absolutely baffling to me.
the argument is always ‘well they haven’t stared down the camera and told us all they’re a lesbian and therefore i’m going to ignore every single glaringly obvious piece of context that she’s a lesbian and invalidate that’
it’s fucking degrading. the community doesn’t do it to gay men in media. they get to be gay. but for a woman there has to be a way you all find a way to worm a man into the situation.
is the idea of women existing in a space where they have completely decentralised men so terrifying to you?
nevermind for the pitt, people’s insistence on fawning over and infantilising the dullest white male characters possible when beautifully complex women exist right there within the show!
you’re giving ‘i didn’t think the tiger would eat my face’ as you’ve fed lesbians to them freely and without remorse and are surprised when it turns on you too
trinity santos and yolanda garcia and parker ellis, my lesbians i love you
