Lestrade had just been about to finish for the day after a very long shift, meaning that he was less than impressed to find someone in his office waiting to talk to him.

Where to even begin? It’s been a long day. I know, I know I say that a lot but it’s more true today then ever before. I didn’t even make it to any classes today.
I was on my way to Physiology when I got a call, apparently someone found Sherlock passed out in an empty classroom, needle beside him, he’s started doing drugs. He’s been in hospital all day, I’ve been with him.
Originally there were police here saying they were going to arrest him when he was released but they left, all except Lestrade, that is. I suspect Mycroft had something to do with them all leaving without a fight and stopping insisting on arresting Sherlock. He seems to be quickly rising in politics and government. I also suspect he has something to do with Greg being here and I’m not just saying that because they’re sitting in the corner holding hands.
I didn’t even notice last night, or this morning, I’m not sure, when Sherlock left. I was out late with Mary, I don’t even know he he was there when I got back, how could I not notice? Doesn’t he know he can text or call if he needs me? I wouldn’t hesitate to come back...or is that why he won’t tell me? I can’t help but think this is all my fault. Everything is messed up, this isn’t how today was supposed to go...I just want him to be okay....
