I don't talk about my health issues with most people. I don't like to complain- I'm grateful for my health. That being said, living with a partially functioning thyroid and anemia means my energy (and comfort) can fluctuate dramatically throughout the day. Some days I am unexpectedly drained by 3pm, and I have to cancel all of my plans because the tiredness has seeped deep inside my being. If I do not listen to my body, I experience a health setback in some way. Some people do not respect my health or take it seriously- especially now that I'm Vegan and flowin and upbeat. I learned in order to thrive, to be true to myself- it's good to avoid people who drain me, challenge my health, put down my issues or do not respect my boundaries. It's not worth the problems or the stress. If someone just wants to project some negative motive onto me for cancelling- that's not my problem. My health comes first.
