Healed people heal people. Broken people try to break people. Here’s a story all about how I let an asshole’s negativity affect me. Someone made a very conservative judgement about my Instagram several months ago. They told me no one reads my captions, that my photos aren’t art, and I took it to heart, and I lost faith in myself. And although it wasn’t true, their negativity affected my confidence. Because I want to please other people. I started changing my content. I started sharing less. Some of my posts can and have gotten me in a little political trouble. And it hurt to listen to a person attack my page- without reading a single caption. I started questioning why I even post online if people see me this way. But I am releasing their toxicity and I am returning it to its rightful source. Healed people heal people. Broken people try to break people. Just because one person doesn’t understand my message, doesn’t mean others don’t get it.
