You turned around only to see…. Them. The very fools who betrayed you. You forced a smile at them and pretended to not know them. “Um who are you? And what do you want with me?” It was then your friend got suspicious and looked at you with concern in their eyes. “Mc? Do you need any help?” You merely looked at them with a smile “it’s nothing! I’m fine really! You should be going home now, it’s late you know. We will talk later!” You said reassuringly. Your friend looked at you and walked to their home hesitantly hoping you would be alright. You watched as your friend disappeared into the distance and turned towards them again. This time you scowled at them. “You all. Follow me. We will discuss this at my home.” The walk home was extremely awkward for the boys. Not only were you angry at them for interrupting your time with your friends but you were angry at them for even thinking that you would forgive them. But of course, the tension in the air didn’t stop them from trying to talk to you. You ignored their desperate attempts and tied not to laugh at how Pathetic they were being. The walk home was short. Diavolo had given you an apartment which was spacious so you could live in it. For a moment you were impressed of course, seeing the care he put into every detail just the way you liked it. You would have been almost impressed had he been caring from the get go. You opened the door and let them in and followed them in later. “Sit on the couch. I’ll be back in a minute.” They nodded and sat down with their eyes trained on the ground. You changed to your loungewear and came to the living room with your arms crossed and looked at them. “So..” they all immediately looked up at you. “Why are you all here?” “Mc we need you back, please.” Mammon Said , voice quivering. “No.” “Mc please-“ “do you really expect me to come back to you all after what you did?” “Little lamb we are sorry . We got carried away due to our blind obsession over Alya.” “You are a disgrace , Simeon. I expected this from the demons but from you?” You shook your head in disappointment. “I do not wish to entertain you in my apartment any longer. Why would you even need a disgrace right? Lucifer?” You looked at him “Mc we’re sorry. We will never neglect you again. Please come back to us.. please” he breathed out with a shaky voice. His pleadings not reaching your heart anymore. You looked at him coldly and merely looked away. “Get out.” “What?” “Get. Out.” “I do not need to have liars in my house.” “Mc please we will care for you as much as we can from now on, you will only be showered in praises and the care you deserve from now on-“ you just laughed and wiped a tear off your eye that threatened to fall. “Mc?” Lucifer asked with wide eyes filled with tears. He felt his heart shatter at your actions. They all did. To see their human this hurt that too by their actions broke their heart even more.
“Isn’t it that hard to see? I don’t need you all in my life anymore. I never needed you in my life at all. YOU forced me into this life. I never asked for this to happen. I never wanted to be involved with all of you in the first place!” They all looked at you with tears in their eyes threatening to fall. “Not only have you abused and neglected me but you expect me to actually TAKE YOU BACK?” You rubbed your temple and sighed. “I’ve burned all our bridges because I don’t need fake people in my life anymore. No demons, no nothing. Please go and let me live a normal life if you really care about me.” And with that they all looked at you one last time in hopes you would forgive them but seeing you glare at them waiting to leave was when they understood how you actually felt and left the apartment. Before leaving Lucifer looked at you one last time “Mc. We are aware you don’t need us anymore in your life. We are sorry for forcing you like this. We only wish you the utmost happiness from now on. If ANYTHING pops up, please come to us, we will accept and help you with anything you need should any uncertainty come up. We will always be here for you no matter what. And once again… I’m sorry… for everything.” You nodded not meeting his eyes and opened the door for them to leave. “You all too. Take care of yourselves. Should anything happen I’ll contact you.” And with that you left 12 heartbroken boys standing in front of your apartment door which you closed after giving them one final goodbye. They knew that they had messed up badly. All they could do was stare as they heard laughter coming inside the apartment as they slowly turned and left with tears down their face. Maybe this was for the best? They would move on keeping you in their hearts as a memory and a lesson. They knew that there will be a time they will meet you again. Until then? They will be patient, grow up and reduce their flaws just so when you meet again, they can be the version of you you deserve. Until then they will wait, no matter how long it takes just so the next time they see you they will not only stay with you but treat you just how you deserved to be. Until then, they will watch you from afar enjoying your life. That was enough to put their aching hearts at peace. For now.
