I hate the unabashed whitewashing of radical feminism from libfems. Especially when liberal feminism does absolutely nothing for women of the global south. Their “sex work is work” mantra might work on Lucy from California but what good does it have for Luz from Guatemala?

I think liberal feminists are forgetting that systems are people. They blame The Patriarchy for gender inequality but fail to recognize that it’s men who uphold that system.

Because where does The Patriarchy come from if not The Patriarchs (aka men)? All men have male privilege. All men benefit from patriarchy, even if they are oppressed through other aspects of their identities.

We understand this concept with other forms of oppression. We understand that straight/rich black men still experience racism despite being straight/rich men. We understand that disabled people still face oppression even if they’re white. Why is it that women’s oppression is so frequently dismissed?
