Okay, so, I reached 200 followers a while ago and I’ve wanted to make one of these but everything has been a little hectic and I’ve been trying to get back into the groove of things here on Henry now that I’m back and while that is proving to be a little harder than I thought that it would be, I really do appreciate those who are and have been patient with me. I am putting everything under a ‘read more’ because it got a little long, but I love you guys and if I have forgotten anyone, I apologize. It’s not that I did it on purpose but I am a bit of a spaz.
The Baes
@woodburyking-blake / @maskedbytwilight- You are the first friend that I made here in the roleplay world and I’m glad the two of us met! If it weren’t for you, I most likely wouldn’t be roleplaying here on tumblr at all, so thank you for getting me to give it a try. I hope that both of us can get our muse back for the Gov soon so we can rp the Blake Brothers again :3
@devilishroyalty- We haven’t roleplayed a lot yet, but I love talking to you on Twitter. Thank you for putting up with my obsessions x.x and man I know that I have a lot of them. But also, thank you for sharing your own obsessions with me. I like what I’ve seen of Crowley so far, and I LOVE how you write him and I really can’t wait to see what happens next in our rp.
@lil-rabe- We don’t even roleplay on Henry, but I wanted to mention you on this anyways. You’re probably the person that I have roleplayed with the most, the longest, and have came up with so many plots and stories between our characters with. Thank you for giving the guys a chance. Even though I’m slow at responding sometimes, I do love to roleplay with you, and Lily, and I hope that this storyline that we have going right now will last quite a long time. And thank you for being there for me, I have had a rough past couple of months and you have lent me your ear when I needed you. You are one of my favorite people to roleplay with and you have a lot of passion for doing that and for creating stories and that isn’t something you see that often these days.
@cynthias-heart-and-mind- You’re a very cool mun, and I think that you’re really nice too. I know that you go through some rough times yourself, but, my IM is always open to you if you ever need someone to talk to about that. You were one of the first to reach out to me and to give Henry a chance. Most see him as this two dimensional monster, but you trusted him enough to give him a daughter and a family. Thank you <3
@faithfulhound- Man, we haven’t even started roleplaying yet and from plotting with you in IM, you’re already one of my favorite people. I can’t wait to see what happens with our muses <3 I look forward to the upcoming stories and adventures.
@silverxsmith- I love your portrayal, enthusiasm and dedication to your character and the love that you seem to have for History. It’s honestly very inspiring and I really like interacting with both you and your muse. Thank you for being incredibly nice and patient with me. I hope that we get more time to interact with each other in the future.
@scarletxcross- You’re one of the nicest people that I have met here on tumblr and I love interacting with you and seeing you on my dash... I know that I have been really slow at getting to some of our threads but I hope to be around more now to respond to them a little more.
@firesingedsoul - I know that you have had a rough time lately, but honestly, you deserve all of the happiness in the world. My IM is always open to you <3
Close Friends//And People that I love to rp with
Honestly, I love you guys and I would love to interact with you more <3
Everything was spinning as Marko opened his eyes and tried to look around to see where he was. The last thing that he remembered was some guys coming at him and pulling him into an ally as he struggled to get free from their grasp, or did they come from the ally? That he couldn’t remember. He felt some sharp jabs and he was on the ground looking up at someone with some kind of mask over his face as some other guys was searching through his pockets and one more shark jab, from a kick he guessed, and he was out.
He felt cool metal against his back as his senses started coming back to him as he regained consciousness and after a moment he realized that he was leaning against a big metal garbage bin and it was starting to get dark outside. They had taken his leather jacket that he had often wore, and he would guess that they took his wallet and cellphone too.
Pushing himself up, he began searching through his pockets to find that they were in fact empty, just as he had expected. His first thoughts drifted to Lily, wondering if she was starting to get worried about him, because they kept in contact quite often throughout the day even if they didn’t see each other that day because of work. He needed to call her, that was the first thing that came to his mind, but how? His cell phone was gone and he didn’t have any money to do that with.
Marko sighed as he thought it over for a moment, wondering if there would be someone in a shop that would be nice enough to let him borrow their phone. There was only one way to find out. Stumbling out of the ally, he caught sight of himself in a reflection from the glass on some windows as he passed and noticed that he looked just as roughed up as he had felt and after a few strange looks as he passed by some people on the sidewalk, he finally found a place that looked a little welcoming.
“Hey, may I borrow your phone real quick?” he asked the person behind the counter. “I need to call my girlfriend...” talking hurt some of the muscles in his face where he had been punched by one of the three guys who had pulled him back into the ally.
“I don’t want any trouble...” the woman replied.
“I was mugged.” Marko said, taking a few steps closer. “I just want my girlfriend to know that I’m okay. I’ll be out of here as soon as make the call.”
The woman nodded and handed her cell phone to him. “Thank you.” he said as he quickly dialed Lily’s number and waited for her to pick up and to tell her what had happened and where to come and find him. He could tell that she was worried and she asked him several questions, questions that he couldn’t answer yet but she was on her way after a moment and the lady behind the counter was even nice enough to pour him some water to drink which he happily drunk it down like it was the first thing that he had to drink in several days. “Thank you for this.” he told her.
Marko knew that he and Lily hadn’t known each other for very long, but he still wanted their first Valentine’s Day together to be special one. After much debate about what he wanted to get her, trying to avoid doing the obvious and being cheesy, not that that was a bad thing at times, but he wanted do something that seemed a little more original and personal than that. He thought over the past couple of times that he had been with her and pondered over all of the details that he had taken in during their time together and finally he had honed in on something that he just knew that she would like, only if he could get his hands on it for her.
After spending most of the morning on the phone, he had been able to hunt down the item in question, and he left his apartment to go pick it up. Now it was the waiting game, hardly able to contain himself from the excitement, with hope that she would like what he had found for her. Placing it on the coffee table in front of him, he sat there in silence and looked at it for a moment before finally deciding that it was a great gift, but perhaps it needed something more. The next day he went out to the store wearing the scarf and gloves that Lily had bought for him and picked out a teddy bear that he thought that she might like, along with a stuffed teddy bear for Easton, a box of chocolates, and last but not least he had bought some roses to be sent to Lily’s apartment that would arrive earlier that day.
All of the other things that he had decided to pick up for the two of them seemed to be the norm for the holiday, but it was more of a distraction in his eyes. Maybe she wouldn’t be expecting her real gift that he had been able to find for her if he gave her all of this other stuff first? It was a thought and perhaps a flawed one at that, but maybe he would get an ‘A’ for effort at the very least.
Showing up at her doorstep later in the day, he propped the rather large square gift box up against the wall by her door so that she couldn’t see it yet and then attempted to hold the two teddy bears behind his back along with the box of chocolates and knocked on the door and waited for her to answer. “Hey!” he greeted her with a smile before he leaned in to place a gentle kiss on her lips. “I brought you and Easton some stuff over... I hope that you like it.” he brought his arm around from behind his back to show her the two stuffed bears and the chocolates. “I thought that Bunny could use a friend.” he laughed and fell silent for a moment when his eyes flickered down towards the box that still rested against the wall and stooped over to pick it up. “I hope that you didn’t think that was all that I was getting you.” he teased, almost nervously handing the box over over to her and waited for her reaction to what was on the inside of the box, and that would be a Vinyl Fleetwood Mac Record of Rumours, and it was autographed by the one and only Stevie Nicks, who he knew that she seemed to like quite a bit. “I hope that it’s not something that you already have...”
It was opening night of King Lear, which seemed to have been a highly anticipated event in and around London. John was as nervous as ever but he was confident that he and the others would do well. They had put a lot of time and effort into this play as well as a lot of blood, sweat and tears. Closer to opening night, however, John began to come down with only what he could hope to be a cold and had spent some time seeing his doctor to be sure that it wouldn’t be a problem on opening night. The show must go on, after all, he thought to himself as he was in his dressing room getting dressed for the play.
He had his costume on and now he was sitting in a chair with an apron over him as he got his hair and makeup taken care of by a younger woman who had worked with him a few days beforehand to make sure that they had every meticulous detail just right before the big night.
“Are you ready for your big night?” Matilda asked, trying to make conversation. She must have noticed that he was unusually quiet, which was quite unlike him.
“As ready as I will ever be.” he replied with a smile. His hands were nervously fidgeting with the apron.
“You’ll do fine. You were always great during our rehearsals and I’ve seen some of your work on the telly. You’re a really good actor, there’s no doubt about that.” she admitted, trying to give him some words of encouragement.
“Thank you, my dear.” he gratefully accepted her compliment. “What was it that you saw me in?”
“I think that I first saw you in Lord of the Rings.” she said, as she placed one of her many brushes on his face and went back to work. “And of course, Fringe. I think that you’re best known for that show.”
“Yes, and I miss it.”
“I would say so. All of you seemed close.”
“We were and we still keep in contact with one another, but it’s not the same... not really.” he admitted.
“Well I think that we’re all done here.” She said as she took his apron off and let him stand to look at himself in the mirror.
“Wonderful.” he replied and turned to look at her. “Thank you. I think that I will take a trip across the hallway and be right back.” He said as he went over to the door and opened it before taking a few steps across the narrow hall and knocked on Lily’s door and waited for her reply.
John's mind had finally been able to be at ease ever since he had received the phone call about him getting the part of King Lear, however he knew that the same couldn’t be said for Lily, who at the moment, had other things on her mind other than work. She had received the role of Cordelia, King Lear’s favorite daughter and the one that she had auditioned for. He only hoped that she would be okay, but perhaps rehearsals would aid in keeping her mind busy and off of things that currently troubled her.
Saying his goodbye’s to Penny, John gently kissed her on the lips and headed on out the door to get into his truck and started off towards the theatre. Rehearsals started that day and he wanted to get there a little early so he could meet and talk to some of the other cast and crew members before they got started. They would be working together for a quite a while, so John thought that it would be a good idea to go ahead and break the ice and get that over with and perhaps the rest of their journey would go by rather smoothly.
Some of those that he had met upon his arrival seemed to think that he would be grouchy due to some of the other characters that he had played before in the past, like Denethor from Lord of the Rings or Henry from Sleepy Hollow, but most of them were surprised to know that he was actually a lot nicer than he was, despite his appearance and his deep voice which was usually lended out to the villains that he portrayed. After he had made his rounds, John finally spotted Lily coming through the doors.
“Hey, over here.” he said, motioning for her to join him across the room with a smile on his face. “How are you feeling today?”
About a week or so after their last meeting, John decided that he wanted to call Lily up and ask her to join him and Penny for a trip out to the zoo. He had been there with his grandchildren this past week, but most of his time had been spent chasing after the little tykes, not that he minded, but he didn’t really get a chance to see everything that was there. The eldest of the five was the one who had seemed to be most fascinated with the giant kitty cats behind the fences and John was almost certain that he would have hopped the fence if he was given the opportunity to do so. But now he just wanted to take everything in and try to relax a little before the auditions for King Lear came up. Penny knew that he was nervous about it, but she had faith in him that he could do anything that he had put his mind to, just as she always had before in the past.
Getting there, John drove around in the vast parking lot for at least fifteen minutes before finding a parking spot and after fishing out his pair of sun glasses, he got out and went to the other side to open the door for his wife. “There we are.” he said with a smile as she reached out and took his offered hand to help her up and she returned it. He loved being able to fuss over her when he was allowed to and he had missed doing it while they had been separated for the brief time during the move. “I told Lily that we would wait for her at the gates to go in. It would be easier that way.”
“Of course.” she replied. “After going through the zoo last week, I can tell that it would be hard to find almost anything in there.” she made a worried expression and he knew that she had meant one of their grandchildren who kept getting distracted by some of the other animals and tried to wander off to look at them. “You better behave yourself and not make it hard for me to keep up with you today.” she warned, giving him a wink.
“Do I ever misbehave myself?” he asked with a laugh as he locked the car doors and took her hand and started heading towards the gates. Lily wasn’t there yet, but she had a young one to get ready for a day out at the zoo which he knew from experience that it was almost nearly impossible at times and she hadn’t been feeling all too well lately. John hoped that a day out at the zoo would help her relax as well.
