Do you end up feeling worse the more you try to feel better ? Do you struggle with a pattern of self negative talk towards yourself and find it hard to help yourself when you know you want to ? Because at some level you have an inner conflict with healing as one part of us wants to change but our subconscious mind does not want us to change because it believes the change is not good for us. Negative, limiting beliefs may be wired into us through past conditioning, but they are not HARDwired into us. Breathing is hardwired into us. Blinking is hardwired into us. Digestion is hardwired into us. But speaking harshly to ourselves? Calling ourselves stupid, dumb, ugly? We weren't born hating ourselves. We weren't born already believing we were less than, unworthy, or unwanted. We may have learned to believe these things from conditioning, chronic exposure to abuse, shame, or guilt. These thoughts and beliefs became a habitual thought pattern on repeat for far too long. And just like any habit, it CAN be changed. It can be replaced. Just like people pleasing or the inability to set boundaries. Will it feel hard? Probably. Will it take a lot of work? Most likely. Will it be worth it? Absolutely. Get rid of a #limitingbelief in 3 steps 1) Pick 1 thing that you believe is holding you back. "I have to work hard for money" "There's never enough time" "I'm not good enough" "I never follow through" "Things never work out for me" etc.. 2) Write your limitation on a piece of paper & argue against it. If you write "Things never work out for me" write about all the times they have. Argue your limitation until it shows itself as the bullshit it is. 3) Pay attention to when these thoughts show up. Every time they try to pop up, stop and say to yourself the new belief you want with an example. "Things always work out in my favor like the time I got hired with a higher salary than I was hoping for/ I won tickets to the concert/ I met my spouse-best friend-dream babysitter" Using this method you have to remember that it took time to get that belief in place so it will take time to undo it.
