This photo shows lavender limonium plants.
#2929 - Limonium sp. - Sea-Lavender
Limonium has around 600 species, variously known as statice, caspia or marsh-rosemary, and most common from the Canary Islands eastwards through the Mediterranean to Central Asia.
This one is probably Limonium perezii - Perez's sea lavender or seafoam statice - native to the coasts of the Canary Islands but widely used as an ornamental elsewhere. Since this one was planted a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean in San Francisco, it probably felt right at home.

Plant of the Day
Saturday 30 July 2022
Both the dark-green leaves and rich purple flowers make Limonium platyphyllum 'Violetta' (broad-leaved statice) a useful plant for the dry garden as well as a cut flower. The plant needs full sun in a well drained soil.

Here are two bouquets I made for a customer who requested to have alstroemeria, gerbera daisies, a single rose, carnations, and limonium. She didn’t specify colors, so this is how I went! The strawflower was my artistic choice ;)
