I am really predictable with my OTPs... 😅 Feel free to do only one or neither of these but: BeckMason + what they do during the downtime when Beck's android is in jail. AND/OR OckVulture + meeting and bonding again as cellmates after S1E8.
Word count: (515)
Notes: Hopefully, I'm doing them justice, but I decided to pick BeckMason since I'm still trying to figure out the characters of TSSM. I enjoyed getting some insight on how other people interpret them :]
Mysterio is clearly not alright with the arrangements that have been made. He understands that the plan is to have Electro break the other members of the Sinister Six out of The Raft, along with having his double assist with the escape, but what do they mean he has to 'lie low' and for how long!? Simply unacceptable...
Having to pretend that he's still residing in prison and out of commission for weeks on end is just awful and dreadful work. How can they expect him to just sit still, and hang up the persona that is the Great Mysterio, Master of the Arcane Arts?
Tinkerer isn't particularly happy with the situation either. Sure, he and Beck are very close now after working many times before. It's always nice to spend time with someone that he not only just tolerates but actually cares about too but try concentrating on any of your delicate projects when you're constantly around an actor with a wounded pride and having to hear the continuous droning of his supposedly dramatic 'theater voice'.
"Why is all this junk on my workbench, Beck? This clearly has your handiwork written all over it, and please take this by all offense, but nobody's buying your butchered rendition of Latin anymore." Tinkerer shakes his head and starts shuffling the papers that were scattered across the table. It's obviously a concise and neatly typed-out script that his significant other has been working on, but right now he wants nothing to do with it while he tries to work. "Anyway, I thought I told you to have a designated space all the way over there."
"Don't manhandle my papers. You might ruin them." Mysterio snags them from his hands, trying his best to smooth over any wrinkles and bends that were made.
His tiring expression softens for a moment. "You know I wouldn't do that, even if they happen to be such an inconvenience."
Mysterio pouts, looking down at the plain clothes he's been wearing. They show nothing of the flare he's most used to, and even Tinkerer catches on. "It's the only thing I've been focused on. This is my own way of being productive since I can't roam around, lest someone is to recognize me. As soon as the others come back, I can finally have a plan at the ready and a show to perform under the guise of Mysterio again."
Tinkerer rolls his eyes, leaning against the table of his workspace. "What could you possibly need rehearsed lines for? You're a capable criminal, not some actor flaunting for their next role anymore. We have a few days left before Electro passes rehab. Don't tell me you're honestly worried that you're starting to get rusty or something."
The silence afterward definitely told Tinkerer all that he needed to know. He sighs heavily. "Maybe I'm now realizing that I underestimated how much this quarantine is starting to affect you more than it is me..."
He grabs Mysterio's hand and pulls him away from the space. "Come on, I think we both definitely deserve a break."
As someone very into electro across any form of media, Your electro au design is very good, i am very endeared to him. I enjoy the blues a lot and the spiky hair. Have a good day 👍
I'm so glad to hear that! I feel like I don't draw him often enough, but I always have fun when I find the time to ^ ^)
in your most recent post you said you had a spidersona??? How did i miss that-
Uhhh here is a invite to info dump about them if you want and also maybe add a ref sheet >:]
YAY FOR RAMBLING! ^ ^)
- Honestly, Dante's supposed to be portrayed as a bit of a jerk, or at least someone who might say or think the wrong thing a lot, whether it'd be calling Quentin a pretentious snob, thinking Peter is a basic nerd, or saying he's lesser than his friends.
- Dante gets bitten by the experiment, S441, a genetically enhanced spider that was tended by Peter Parker and Gwyn Stacy.
- So I wouldn't call Dante the most enthusiastic hero. Most of his thoughts consists of trying to comprise between saving others, but also not throwing away everything he studied hard for. It was unfair that these responsibilities were thrown into his care at this time.
- While he's living at the dorms of the prestigious college of ESU, his dormmates are Aleksei, Quentin, Max, and Gwyn. Three of which become future villains in their ways. Considering how they all turned out, Dante feels personally responsible, as if he had allowed them to fall towards the path of being criminals.
- During the early days of being the Diamond Spider, his mother is hospitalized from a shooting incident though she ends up being saved by this universe's Ben Parker who tragically died. Dante decides to hunt down the criminal who did it. He doesn't end up killing him, can't when he realizes that he's just a grieving and scared kid. He fears that certain urge of having blood on his hands.
- He has natural spider webbing. He's an artist, not an engineer. There's no way he's creating web shooter tech on his own. That being said, he also has pheromones. While he's not entirely aware of how much intense influence he has over the emotions of others, it's good for confusing a villain in a tight pinch if he's probably fearing for his own life and others.
Can we get linkXreader content. It woukd be so awesome
You're lucky that I've actually written an x reader before but since you're one of the few fans, I'll do it. I don't think it would be easy to write a first meeting in which this lizard could actually fall in love with someone. That would take time, but actually treating them nicely is a start.

Meeting with the likes of a denzen, especially outside of their own settlements is a rare chance, although it was hardly a coincidence that this particular one managed to break into your home one night. While yes, the rogue had had their own experiences in such robberies, this wasn't an ordinary house call.
Awakening from the loud crash from downstairs, you fumble for the candleholder by your bedside. Striking a match with your shaking hands, you manage to light a small flame. It wasn't much, but you didn't want to exactly alert the intruder of your presence. Using it to help your sight, you slowly begin to creep downstairs.
You were afraid, just as regular as the other townsfolk in the area, but your house has never been picked to be vandalized. You hardly had much anyways, always using your earnings for more important priorities such as food and water.
Painful groans come from the living room, and you manage to gather enough courage to step towards the darkened figure crumpled on your rug. It was a fairly nice one, bought from the market a couple of weeks ago, but is now ruined from shards of glass and pricks of blood. Strangely enough, it looked purple in the dim candlelight.
"Are you alright?" You ask, low in tone.
The person is startled regardless, and despite their present injuries, backs into the wall with a hiss. "Keep it down, will you? Step back."
Frantic, the intruder stands up and pulls the curtains over the broken window they must have climbed through. Afterwards, they peek out before exhaling in relief. "Good, must have lost them..."
"Who?" You ask, wondering as to what they were so worked up over. "Are you being hunted? I can't house a common..." No, you didn't exactly want to paint a rude picture with the label of a thief. Perhaps they sought refuge from something unjust. These things often happen enough, but many pretend it doesn't. Housing a criminal, it only creates complications.
They wince, noting the blood over their claws before checking a third time outside. "These guards were following me. Didn't think too much about it until I rounded the same block twice. Your window was locked, and I didn't have an easier way inside."
You turn towards you, and candlelight shines over their scales- a denzen. You've never met one before, but here one stands.
Although known for their tough exterior, it's no wonder they had scrapes and cuts. Hardly wearing much other than a black crop top and pants, you wanted to also point out their abrasive entry into your home, but hold against it.
Priorities.
"What you need is some help. I have a medical kit, please stay here while I go get it." Before you could walk to the bathroom, a sharpness pokes at your back. You stiffen in surprise. Did they snatch one of the glass shards from the floor?
"Go on..." They hesitate but don't let up.
With urgency, you stumble into the bathroom and turn on the lights. Rummaging through the cabinets, you find what you're looking for, and the added pressure from the shard lifts.
"It was just a precaution. I won't do it again. Not unless you give a reason to." The denzen couldn't meet your gaze, as if they felt a small amount of shame in resorting to such threats.
You felt bad too, for whatever predicament wound them to crash through your window this late into the night.
If they were on the run, then maybe this is how they had to deal with problems, and with you being a stranger, it was necessary.
You offer them to sit on the sink counter so you could patch up their wounds. While it isn't serious, those cuts could get infected if the denzen wasn't careful. You don't remember if immunity was one of their perks.
Under a brighter source of light, you get to see this so-called intruder. Large eyes, with reptilian pupils, and short blond hair that didn't exactly look healthy either. They're noticeably thin too, and you’ll have to remind yourself to at least feed them a bit of bread and fruit to manage until they could be on their way. Your hands skim over green scales, noting the spikes over their shoulders and tail.
They flinch a little, feeling a little nervous under your gaze, but you don’t mean to. Instead, you get back to the task at hand, as you open the kit and take out the vial of potion.
"It won't be as great without a natural healer's magic but it'll do the trick."
"I figured as much. You don’t seem to have an ounce of magic that I can sense, wouldn’t have allowed you to help me like this otherwise." They state grimly.
You had some semblance of an idea as to why that would have been the case. Magic was a touchy topic given the history behind it. You decided to not press on about the issue despite your little knowledge of it. Your patient seems a bit temperamental, sharp eyes staring down at you, head tilting ever so slightly, as if gauging your responses and habits.
It's interesting, to say the least.
You dunk some of the vial's content into a cloth and press on their cluster of cuts. They hiss, claws scraping over your poor counter. Perhaps you could continue the conversation in another direction, as a way to distract them.
"What did you do anyways? Jump through my window without a second thought?"
They rub the back of their neck grimacing at the thought. "Not exactly... Threw a rock and crawled right in. Probably not the brightest idea."
"You could say that again. I would have let you in, if you had just knocked on the front door."
"Right, and everything would have been fine and dandy, wouldn't it? Trust me, you're not the first person to sell on something like that."
You pause, looking up at them with concern. "Why wouldn't I?"
They fume, as if I didn't understand over what was so clearly obvious. "Have you actually taken a good look at me? Either you're lying or you're just plain naive letting some bloodied stranger into your home like this."
You do take a good look, but you couldn't see what they could possibly mean. They're hurt, tired and hungry, yet alert because if for one moment they allowed themselves into ease, the denzen would think of a million possibilities in why they shouldn't.
"You would still be a person in need, and that's more than enough to let myself help and feed you even."
Their eyes widen, and I can see that they're in fact a light blue, something that couldn't be seen easily as slits. They're as quick to stifle this reaction and hop off the counter.
"You can follow me into the kitchen if that's what you need to feel safe." You propose, knowing just a little bit more about the strange denzen by now.
They slowly nod, fumbling with their claws for a moment now that the tension has lessened. In fact, they seem a little more awkward when you think about it.
Hi Links-density, does Norman Osborn exist in your Spider-Man au or no? And if he is, does that mean Harry also exist and is he friends with Dante or no? Also is Norman a bad father to Harry in your AU? (You don’t have to answer this if you don’t want to, sorry if this is a lot)
I honestly appreciate the questions, for real! You don't have to feel bad, they're really helpful for me to actually sit and think about certain aspects of my AU while I need more time to put out art. Thanks, poisonivy04. You're the best ^ ^)

As for the answers:
Norman Osborn does exist in the diamondverse. He is the character who initially takes in Aleksei after he was expelled from ESU, managing to manipulate him into thinking he was abandoned by his friends such as Dante, and got him to test out what will be the future suit for the Rhino.
He has also stolen designs from Adrian Toomes, and threatened to hurt his students if he didn't back down, so he didn't really have a choice to try and go after him.
As for Harry Osborn, he does exist too! I don't have a concrete design, but I was either going for giving him a limp or be in a wheelchair. I might delve into the reasoning later on once I have a brainstorming session or two. Whether the Green Goblin was involved in said past incident, I would have to decide later on. Currently though, he's only going to be name-dropped once I actually manage to release Chapter 3 on Ao3.
I think he would be more of Peter's friend than Dante's at first. After all that is happening with his roommates turning into super villains, Dante might want to distance himself from other people, until his remaining friends take notice, and he is introduced to Harry, and eventually Norman Osborn who he is well aware of, considering what happened to both Aleksei and Toomes.
As for the last question, I think through most iterations of their father-son bond, it's not going to be the healthiest. I wouldn't want Norman to throw any ableist comments at Harry, but the burdens of high expectations and not feeling good enough for his father's recognition are what's going to be plaguing his mind throughout the story.
Hey Link-destiny what do the sinister six in your au do in their free time when they’re not out fighting spider-diamond, robbing banks, or committing any crimes? Do they have any hobbies?(Even villains need a break once and while)
I haven't thought about this before, but these questions are really helpful for me to think about answers on the spot and developing them later on. Thanks for the ask! :]

Rhino paints in his spare time. On the walls of his room, he has hanged paintings. He's not exceptionally skilled, and the paintbrushes do need to be handled delicately lest he snaps them in two, but he enjoys being able to create things rather than just being seen as some heavy wrecking ball.
Also poetry! Do you think binge-watching and quoting from rom-com movies is all he does? While his English may be awkward at times, he does have a way with the written word if he could just find a way to carefully put them on paper...
Doc Ock is chronically in the labs, either plotting with the likes of Tinkerer, checking up on the actuator tech, or spending time with Vulture like they're an old married couple (even though they're not together and secretly pining over each other-).
Aside from that, he doesn't really leave any time to not think about the Syndicate and how to defeat Diamond Spider. It would usually be up to the majority or individual members of the group to pull him away from working, so he can just relax and actually eat a full meal for once.
Vulture bird watches. Oh, how obvious is that? But he does enjoy quiet activities because the base is often the opposite, whether the members of the Syndicate are causing infighting or messing around, Toomes prefers to not always be around that.
Occasionally he checks in on others. He was an ESU professor before becoming the Vulture, so he might spend time talking and getting updated on the lives of his past students, making sure they stray away from Oscorp and the likes. He does the same with the Syndicate, because while they all may have their own faults, it doesn't mean they don't deserve a good support system in the process of their criminal activities.
Electro listens to hyperpop and plays video games. Imagine he lost against another member of the group, but then whoops, it seems like the electricity is acting up today, so technically Electro didn't lose if it wasn't on the record.
He has tried stepping outside the base in his free time considering his aversion towards wearing a complete mask, but things didn't really go so well. These incidents lead him grounded to the base, and with Max being a struggling extrovert, he usually decides to hang around those who can tolerate his brightening presence such as Rhino and Vulture.
Shocker goes to bars around the city for fun, to drink until he's properly drunk, playing pool and darts, possibly in that exact order until someone drags his ass home while he whines and complains about them being a complete buzzkill.
He also hangs out with Mysterio and Tinkerer who for the most part both insist that he takes the time to learn ASL. While it's less than ideal, wanting to just have fun and not having to memorize hand movements to communicate, the two aren't going to let up considering the member, Sandman, is selectively mute.
Mysterio of course spends a lot of his spare time scripting and practicing his illusionist persona with great devotion. Any other time, he's bothering Tinkerer or Shocker, so he can drag them away from the base and secretly attend any new showings of the plays he would love to see. Being a wanted criminal isn't going to stop him, in fact, he thrives off of the attention that his well-deserved popularity.
He does also do the occasional sketches of designs and outfits that strike his inspiration to create. While he does love the regal look his suit possesses, it wouldn't hurt to upgrade every now and then with new fabrics and equipment, presenting it to Tinkerer, so they can collab together.
Tinkerer unfortunately does not have many hobbies that don't revolve around his job. He wasn't a very outgoing person, even before getting caught up with Mysterio. He found that tech was his specialty and stuck with it so at most, he might work on a few personal projects that involve using that certain skill set.
Perhaps after meeting Mysterio face to face and working with the Syndicate, he wouldn't be opposed to joining him to any viewings of theatrical plays or staying indoors to watch movies, so he could spend time away from the labs. He's much more open to the thought of breaks unlike a certain other scientist in the group, but will still remain with a grumpy look on his face. Yes, he's not allowing anyone to assume he actually likes spending time with the ever-talkative Mysterio.
Sandman didn't have much of a life before the Syndicate. Considering he spent more of his life roaming on the streets, learning to steal from when he was still human enough, he ended up not forming that many hobbies in return.
Honestly, he'd probably walk around the base and check to see what everyone else is up to in their definition of fun, signing if he could join them to observe. He's likely to enjoy watching movies like Mysterio and Tinkerer do, sometimes mimicking the expressions and mumbling quietly to whatever is shown on the screen with small fascination, and while he doesn't understand painting, will ask if he could be Rhino's model to help him practice. Doing this and that, so he could feel more at home among friends.
What's your favorite Spidey design from the cartoons? I honestly loathe (affectionate) the middle part look. I think the 2017 cartoon Peter and Harry look fantastic! Also mixed Flash Thompson who's somewhat Peter's friend? Sign me up!
And if you watched ultimate, what did you think of Moon Knight in that one episode? I liked how he makes fun of Peter for talking to the audience, and how his entrance is him trying to kill a child with no explanation.
@the-sprog I feel like this would be my favorite Spidey design. I know people like to give MSM flak for its simple art style and solely due to the fact that children can be a part of the audience demographic, but I love it so much. The design looks nice as heck, and I love the |\/| patterning on his arms.
Truth be told though, I'm still on season one. Regardless, I absolutely vibe with Peter being a little cringe nerd and also being a mentor for Miles when he managed to get his own spider powers. It's honestly great, and I adore all iterations of Flash, especially since in MSM, he's literally a HIMBO. Like, that wouldn't be so bold of me to assume right?
This guy was so sure that his papier-mâché volcano project would win at the Stark Expo AND IT DID! By default, but he was still so proud of himself. As he should be.
As for the Moon Knight question, I wouldn't be able to answer. I've watched so many Spider-Man cartoons,, except maybe Ultimate. I got through a handful of episodes, but it's not exactly an easy show to get into unless I really want to see Doc Ock being a little funky man. Jokes feel a little too fast-paced, and I'm not used to Spidey pausing the show just to do 4th wall breaks since that seems to be more of Deadpool's area of expertise.
Maybe I'll continue it someday? I'm not a comic book elitist, so I'm taking whatever MK content there is.
Hey Links-destiny what age are the sinister six in your au? You don’t have to answer this if you don’t want to, just curious.
I'm happy to answer questions while currently suffering from the college workload >:')
I haven't really thought much about their age, since most of them were in the same range of being fairly young adults, I didn't think to actually write things down until now.
---
Doc Ock - I want to say 40s at the very least since he had worked as a university professor for a long while.
Vulture - He's slightly older than Octavius by a couple years but he's still able to maneuver around in the vulture suit with a decent amount of precision.
Tinkerer - 26 years old but he sure does feel old having to interact with immature and egotistical villains as a part of his work.
Sandman and Shocker - 25 years old but they don't really interact too much with the others when first starting.
Mysterio and Electro - 22 years old! I assume that maybe Mysterio entered college late as a freshman. He's not exactly rolling in money to be attending the very prestigious ESU. As for Electro... I've skimmed through some writing stating he's already a junior before his unfortunate incident.
Rhino - Despite being a tough and large individual, he's the youngest at 21 years old and is definitely treated as such for being naive and sensitive for a villain.
---
And alright, Scorpion isn't invited to be a part of the Sinister Syndicate because he's too much of a loose canon for Doc Ock to feel comfortable keeping an eye on, but since I have a design already made, I'm counting him in this. He'd be around his early 30s.
